Keys

14 Feb

Our personalities are rich with expression and varied in how we interpret and manifest information as we move along. Nobody is completely the same all the time. We feel things differently depending on what’s going on around us and who is involved. Every day brings a new situation and we sometimes have to work hard to figure out what to do next. When we need to unlock something to get in, we may reach for our personal key ring. We might have many different keys to choose from, and in each instance must choose the specific one that opens the door we need. We may have a key for our car, our home, our office, the backdoor, maybe a shed or storage area, or many other options. They might look alike but each represents a unique opportunity to unlock the way ahead. Like the keys on our key ring, we have different personal interpretations and expressions for each situation we experience. Maybe we need our wisdom key for a particular problem, or our patience key when things get intense. We might use compassion to open the way to dialog for someone who is suffering, or simply take out the one that unlocks understanding. Each key we possess opens something new and teaches us more about the world around us. Everything we do tells the world who we are. When we use our keys appropriately in the right situations, the road ahead is often easier than if we mix them up. If we use force when endurance is needed, or leisure when we need to work, we might end up somewhere we didn’t intend to go. Learning how to manifest the right options when opportunities present themselves will move us forward toward the goals we’re seeking. We are wise and intelligent, and can find the keys that open any door ahead. Every goal is possible, and we are smart enough, and strong enough to reach them.

Every day things change and it’s impossible to know what will happen next. We learn new skills with each experience and carry all that information with us moving forward. When things go wrong or what we’re trying to accomplish gets stuck, it doesn’t mean we can’t get to the goal. It just means that for now, we don’t have the key to open this particular door. There are many roads to every destination, and we can turn in another direction and find the way ahead.

Like skeleton keys that open many doors, kindness and consideration can pave the way ahead, no matter what’s in the way. Few things make a situation better than a kind word, or a patient attitude. We can be open to new ideas and patiently work through any problems or issues that arise, confident that no matter what happens, we will reach the destination. We are capable of managing any complication, and with focus and determination, can reach any goal.

Today if you’re not sure you have all the keys you need to open the doors ahead, trust yourself. You are more capable than you realize. Every dream is possible, and you already possess everything you need to win. Be confident and step forward. Nothing can keep you from the goal, and you will reach great success.

Believe Me

13 Feb

Life is filled with all kinds of experiences. If we make a bad decision and create a big mess, we may be embarrassed and try to do something, anything to get out of it. Everyone gets tangled up from time to time, and if we’re wise, when we bungle something, we can admit the error and then do what’s needed to correct the situation. But if we want to hide what’s happened, we may choose to lie about it instead. If those around us don’t believe us at first, we may lie again, louder and with more passion, hoping that somehow, the ruse will prevail. Holding onto a lie and refusing to admit the truth changes nothing. It only prolongs the agony and stress of the situation. Truth is the most powerful thing in life and will always rise. Trying to hide it, change it, or deflect away from it may work in the short term, but in time, everything will be revealed. And when all the facts are evident, we will be accountable not only for the original error, but the dishonesty we displayed after the fact. We are what we do, and those around us will decide if they can trust us by the decisions we make. If we try to manipulate the truth and deceive them moving forward, it will be difficult to make strong and lasting connections with those around us. Things are going to go wrong from time to time. We’re going to make mistakes. It’s the nature of life. We can stand strong even when we falter, admit what’s happened, and work to fix any developing problems. There is enough courage and wisdom inside us to find the best way forward. By trusting ourselves, and those around us, we can proceed with clarity and confidence that we will succeed.

It’s possible to fool others from time to time. We can tell half-truths that advance our cause, and when things are going wrong, keep secrets about what’s really happening. In an effort to look more successful, we can tell only the good parts of the story and keep the problems to ourselves. We’re entitled to privacy regarding our personal lives, but if others are involved, it’s important to be completely truthful about everything. Sometimes there will be problems but they don’t mean we aren’t capable. Every goal is possible, even if the road to get there is filled with trouble and complications. We are strong and powerful, and can accomplish anything we desire.

Life is all about learning. We can only know the information that’s available to us at any time. If things change and the road we’re on gets blocked, we can change direction and start again. Every step teaches us something new and we take all the facts we gain as we progress forward with us. Making a mistake teaches us what doesn’t work, and helps us find success. We can trust ourselves to choose wisely and in time, reach every destination.

Today if you’re embarrassed by a mistake you’ve made and want to hide it from those around you, be confident. Nobody is perfect and mistakes do not define you. Admit the error and then do what is needed to correct the way forward. There is greatness inside you. Step forward with clarity and confidence. You are amazing, and nothing will keep you from success.

Not Me

Nobody is perfect and although we try to always make good decisions and choose well, sometimes we’re going to make mistakes. It’s the normal course of life. We might decide to do something that seems good at the beginning but turns into a complete mess, screwing up our lives and anyone else involved. It happens to everyone and nobody is exempt. We’re going to go the wrong way from time to time, and what we do after that will determine what happens next. When the bottom falls out and we’re left holding the bag, we can try to deflect the blame onto someone else. We could say it wasn’t us, we weren’t involved, nobody told us about it, and a million other excuses that won’t change anything. Pushing the blame for something we’ve done onto someone else will never help, and will reflect badly on us going forward. Many times, everyone already knows who was involved when things go wrong. Pretending to be invisible or making sure we’re somewhere else when it all hits the fan won’t fix anything. We’re accountable for everything we do and every decision we make. Hiding, deflecting, pretending or trying to dodge our involvement will only delay the inevitable. It’s far better, no matter how bad things are, to stand tall and admit our involvement. It’s only a mistake, not the end of the world. Nothing is permanent and no matter what’s happened there will be a way to correct our course. We are intelligent and can find the way forward no matter how convoluted the situation may seem. With confidence and courage, we can address any misstep and make whatever changes are needed to point us in the right direction. Every destination is possible and we will find the way ahead.

It’s impossible to know everything about everything. When we’re making decisions, there may be something we can’t see or some fact we don’t know about. We can only use the information available to us at any time, and if we discover later there is more to the story that affects the way forward negatively, we can modify our plans. If we’re flexible and open, we can still find our way to the goal despite any complications. Life is filled with possibilities and there will always be another way ahead. With focus and planning, we can reach any destination we desire.

There may be times when we might be blamed for something we didn’t do. It’s difficult to feel the scorn of others for something we’re not responsible for and we may certainly stand up for ourselves and protest our innocence. If doubt still remains, we can continue forward making the best choices possible, and in time, truth will prevail. We can make excellent decisions that show the world who we are, and that take us where we want to go and help us achieve our most valued goals. We are strong and powerful, and we will prevail.

Today if things have gone wrong from a decision you’ve made, own your part and do what is needed to correct the situation. Mistakes happen and you can change direction. Look at everything openly and decide on the best course of action. You are wise and intelligent, and all the answers are there for you. Trust yourself. You will prevail.

Cringe Worthy

29 Jan

Life is long and takes us to many different places, teaching us many new things. We don’t ever know everything, and each experience gives us more information than we had before. We learn as we go, and take all the knowledge we gain forward with us. When we look back, sometimes we may have a memory of something we did that turned out to be a mistake. There is no way to appropriately judge what we did before by the knowledge we posses now, but looking behind we may be critical of a prior decision. Perhaps the decision was so bad, that seeing it now, we cringe to believe we thought it was the best way forward. However, back then, it’s likely we made the decision based on all the information we had at the time, which will never be the same as all the information we have now. Life is cumulative, and we gain more with each step we take. There is no way to change the past, and trying to dissect why we did something before will never alter what’s happened. We are where we are now. What’s done is done. We can trust that whatever we did before taught us something of value. We may be wiser now than we’ve ever been, but chances are we’ll be even smarter in the future. Every step gives us more knowledge, and our intelligence increases as we experience new things. There is nothing to be gained by criticizing decisions made in the past. We can see them for what they are, understand where they took us and what they brought into our lives, good or bad, and proceed ahead with confidence. We can see what’s before us, and make decisions that will take us where we most want to go. We are intelligent and capable, and know what we want. Every goal is within our reach, and we can find our way forward.

We are all the sum total or our experiences, and if we’ve had serious disappointments and our plans haven’t worked out, we may begin to believe we will never succeed. Nobody wins in every fight. Sometimes we aren’t going to prevail, but that doesn’t mean we can’t achieve our goals. We are strong and resilient, and failure is just a way of getting more information. Every goal is possible, and with determination and focus, we can go anywhere, and do anything.

On a road trip, if we take a wrong turn and end up going the wrong way, we can stop and change direction. We never have to continue going in the opposite direction simply because we made a mistake. The same is true in our personal lives. Nothing is forever, and everything can be altered. If we don’t like where we’re headed, we can turn around. If the road we’re on turns out to be going somewhere we don’t want to go, we can step off and choose another. We’re in control of our lives and can change them anytime we desire. Every goal is possible and nothing can keep us from success.

Today if you have regrets over something that happened in the past and it’s affecting your choices moving forward, take control and decide how you want to proceed. The past does not dictate your future. You know what you want, and have everything you need to achieve it. All your dreams are possible, and nothing is out of reach. Be confident. You are wise and strong, and will succeed.

In the Mirror

15 Jan

We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives. We know every decision we make will take us somewhere and have a consequence, and we may try hard to choose wisely so we end up where we want to go. There are a lot of factors involved when we make our choices – how much time we have, if we’re pressured to go a certain way, how much information is available, what we want the most, and dozens of other parameters. Sometimes what we choose depends on if we’re making the decision privately and nobody else will know, or if it’s wide open and everyone can see what we’re doing. There is an old saying that we find out who we are by what we choose when nobody is looking. That’s probably correct. When we don’t have to face the opinions of others, we will likely choose what we really want, bad or good. If there’s a way to keep our decisions private, we may choose to do something that’s dishonest or unseemly in some way. We can do anything we want, anytime we want, and any way we want to do it. We’re always in control of our lives and can design them any way we like. But each choice, even the ones nobody else knows about, will impact our lives in some way. If we want to be happy, we must make decisions that allow us to do what is necessary to achieve it. There is no way to find complete happiness if we make decisions that cause distress, complicate our lives, or hurt others. We are intelligent and wise, and know what we want. Everything is possible and by taking our time, and carefully choosing each step ahead, we can have the lives we want the most and make our dreams come true.

When we look in a mirror our reflection is exactly how we appear. There is no way to modify the person looking back at us. We’ll see every mark, every scar, every line, everything. Similarly, our lives will reflect every decision we make. If we’re careful and wise, and choose roads that open doors ahead, building strong and positive relationships, we will likely find success. However, if we’re lazy, or mean and make choices that hurt others and damage relationships, our lives will reflect something entirely different. We can choose options that bring us comfort and satisfaction, and reach the goals we desire.

Who we are is expressed in everything we do. We can pretend to be someone different and may fool others for a time, but truth always rises and nobody can keep up pretense indefinitely. We are capable of greatness and incredible success. By choosing to be the best we can be at every turn, we will reach the goals and destinations we desire most. Every dream is possible and with determination, wisdom and perseverance, we can succeed at anything we desire. We are amazing and powerful, and nothing is beyond our reach.

Today if you have an important decision to make, consider every possible outcome and choose the road that will lead you to success. You are smart and capable, and nothing is too complex or difficult for you to comprehend. Trust yourself, and move forward with confidence. Every success is possible and you will win.
