Blown Apart

27 Jun

There are opposites in all things and all kinds of people in the world. Some are good or bad, kind or wicked, helpful or hurtful. They may be a great asset to us or they may try to take everything away. If we’ve suffered through a situation where someone destroys our sense of well-being – they breach our accounts and steal all our money, or break into our homes, or take our car – or any other serious, malicious situation, we may feel extremely vulnerable and violated. Everything may feel blown apart and we may struggle for a time to find our footing again. When our foundations have been shaken and what we thought was strong has been penetrated and looted, the exposure may shatter our sense of safety and security. When something has been broken it takes work to rebuild and fortify it again. If it’s very personal it may take serious courage and intense focus to unravel everything and put it back together. Dangerous and difficult issues are not easy to process and overcome. We may be attacked and left standing bereft and confused, but all the answers we need will be there for us. We will never be left devastated without a way out. It may take a lot of time and work, but there will always be a way forward. Even in our weakest moments, we are strong enough to prevail. There isn’t anything we can’t manage, and nothing is powerful enough to hold us down forever. We can trust ourselves to do what is needed to correct anything that happens, and find resolution. Life is complicated and trouble may come, but we are intelligent and wise, and no matter what goes wrong, no matter how hard the road is, we will reach success.

It’s hard to understand wickedness and why some people hurt others for their own personal gain. We hear stories about it all the time, but until it happens to us, we may have no idea how pervasive and painful it can be. With one action, someone may destroy our security and peace. The shock may leave us speechless for a moment, but we are stronger than we imagine, and with determination and clarity, will be able to figure out how to amend the situation and start again.

When terrible things happen, and we feel tremulous and worried, it’s natural to want to hide. The fight or flight reflex may kick in and tell us to run, and we can lock ourselves up in our rooms and hide under the covers. But looking away from trouble will never solve it. It doesn’t matter how bad everything seems, it doesn’t matter how desperate the situation appears, we already have what we need to overcome it. We can stand strong and step forward with confidence, sure we will find every answer and be able to correct every issue. There isn’t anything too difficult for us. We are powerful and wise, and we will win.

Today if something terrible and extreme has happened, and you feel unsure and exposed, trust yourself. You are intelligent and highly capable and nothing can hold you down indefinitely. Get the help you need and confidently begin. All the answers are there for you and every success awaits. Be confident and sure. The whole world is still there for you and you will prevail.

Not Shrinking

23 Jun

We all face millions of situations as we go through our lives. Unless we live on a desert island alone and isolated, chances are there are people all around us and at some point someone is going to annoy, anger, or irritate us in some way. We’re all different and those differences can sometimes cause conflict, which can sometimes become intense and if we’re tired of defending ourselves, we may choose to go on the offensive. There is nothing wrong with standing up for ourselves and stating our positions plainly and clearly to those around us. If we feel empowered and safe, we may stand strong even if we are the only one on our side. But if the others are more powerful than we are, or carry more influence, when things go wrong and we’re on the outside, we might decide to shrink back and stay quiet instead of speaking up. Silence may keep us from the fray for now, but going along simply to get along may not work out for us in the long run. Remaining quiet can be interpreted as agreement, and we might find ourselves in situations we never wanted because we didn’t say something at the beginning. We’re all entitled to our own opinions and beliefs, and we can be confident that even if our ideas are very different from those around us, they are worthwhile and can be expressed. Everyone sees things from their own perspective and through the filters they have gained by their own experiences. We may see things in a unique way that opens up new possibilities not previously considered. Confidently and clearly sharing our views will add great depth and richness to any discussion or plan. We are intelligent and capable, and have greatness inside us. We know what we want and have what we need to get it. We can step forward toward the goals we desire most and be sure of success.

If there is disagreement and someone becomes angry and attacks us, our first instinct might be to attack back. They started it, and we’re going to finish it. Well we can certainly do anything we like but contention added to contention will never bring peace. We don’t have to sit quietly and allow anyone to run us over and destroy us, but we can maintain our composure and answer them with clarity and confidence. Yelling will only make the situation more difficult. No matter what the issue is, there will be a compromise possible. We can be calm even in conflict and find the answers we need to resolve the situation and then move forward.

It’s hard to stand up to someone who has a lot of power and control. If they come for us and are loud and angry, we may wish to disappear or in some magical way be able to escape without them noticing. Feeling threatened doesn’t mean we are weak, and we need not shrink from the challenge. We are stronger than we imagine. We don’t have to be loud in return, and speaking quietly will cause those around us to step closer and listen more carefully. We are powerful and wise, and with patience and resolve can face any situation with courage and strength.

Today if you’re in a difficult situation with conflict and trouble, remember how powerful you are. You are stronger and wiser than you think and nothing can overcome you. Stand strong and be clear. You are valuable and a great asset to the world. Be confident and trust yourself. Nobody has the gifts you have to offer and we’re all blessed because you are here.

Flood Waters

22 Jun

We all share the planet with lots of other people. We have friends and associates, people we work with, neighbors, family – the list is long. We may get along well with those around us and it’s easy when everyone is on the same page and sharing common interests. We’re all different and unique in our own specific ways, and conflict is a normal part of life. There will be few times when everyone agrees about everything. If our relationships are important to us, we can take the minor disagreements in stride and continue on but we may face a situation where we are completely opposed to what someone else is doing or saying. If we’re confident in our own position we may handle the conflict more easily than if we’re threatened by what’s happening or want more control over the issue. If we get angry enough we may decide to severe the relationship and burn that bridge behind us. We can do anything we like, but every connection we make is a bridge that supports us moving forward. If we burn down everything that doesn’t go our way, nobody will be around to help us when things change. When flood waters come if we’re stuck with no bridge to cross, we may lose more than we bargained for. We don’t live in Nirvana and will never agree with everyone, but we can find a way to disagree and still hold onto the relationship. By looking at the situation objectively and weighing every aspect carefully, we can make decisions that allow us to maintain our position without destroying our connections with those around us. Nobody gets everything the way they want it. We can learn to give and take and find common ground that will support us and pave the road ahead. We are intelligent and wiser than we imagine. Every answer we need will always be there for us and every success is possible.

Some people have very quick tempers and may become irate when things don’t go their way. Like a small child who loses their turn, they may decide to take their ball and go home instead of working through disagreements. Refusing to bend will never build strong relationships. If we quit and walk away every time someone annoys us, we will have few connections to share our lives with. Living alone and isolated might be easier when things are going well, but when the storms come – as they inevitably will – our personal relationships will bring us great comfort and satisfaction.

Good, strong relationships require compromise. We can’t always have things our way, even if we’re sure it’s the best way forward. Every opinion has value and we all deserve to live our lives the way we want to. If we come to an impasse and simply cannot agree on something, we can set it aside until our situation changes and new options arise. There is an answer to every question and a solution for every problem. If we are patient and willing to listen, we will find the way forward.

Today if you’ve had enough and are sure there is no way to continue, think about all the options possible. Before you burn a bridge, look at everything objectively and be open to new ideas. You are intelligent and highly capable and can find the answers you seek. Be wise and be confident. Every answer is there for you and with clarity and focus, you will find the way forward. Nothing can keep you from anything you desire, and you will succeed.

Resolved

17 Jun

There are a lot of things that happen to us as we go through our days. Life is complicated and there is no way to know everything about everything all the time. There are billions of other people sharing the planet and each is making decisions we may know nothing about. Those choices may impact our lives in ways we could never predict and tangle the way ahead. Problems will come, issues will arise and the road forward may be completely blocked. When things go awry we can ignore what’s happening and try to keep pushing through and that might work. But if it doesn’t, we can stop and look at everything objectively and determine how we want to proceed. By examining each situation openly and patiently we will come to understand it more completely and determine what we need to do to get around the problem and continue on. Examination leads to understanding which then leads to resolution. Ignoring problems or refusing to look at them will never move us ahead. It’s pointless to keep banging on a door that will not open. All the answers we need to succeed will always be available, and when we take the time necessary to find and apply them, the road ahead will open and we will be able to proceed with confidence and clarity. Every success is possible and nothing is out of reach if we’re willing to do what is needed to make them ours. We are wise and capable, and nothing is too difficult for us to manage.

Some journeys are very long and hard. Big goals often take a lot of planning and time to accomplish. If the road has been difficult and filled with complications, and we are only able to make small advances we may become discouraged. After a long time of trying and working hard to move the needle, if we still are nowhere near the goal, we may begin to believe we cannot succeed. Our hope may start to wane and we may start thinking about giving up. If the goal is important to us, it doesn’t matter how long it takes to reach it. Each step forward takes us closer to the prize, and if we journey on no matter what, we will prevail.

Some people think they know more about what’s good for us than we do. They may tell us to let go of something we want because it’s too difficult and there is no way we will succeed. They have their own opinions but we know who we are and what we want. When problems come, we can do what is needed to understand the situation clearly and find the answers we need. We are intelligent and stronger than we imagine. Every single dream is possible and with wisdom and patience, we will make them ours.

Today if you’re overwhelmed by a situation, take the time you need to examine it clearly and gain understanding. Listen carefully and the answers will come. There isn’t anything you can’t do and no problem you can’t solve. You are amazing and already possess everything you need to reach success. Everything is there for you. Every dream is waiting. Be confident and step forward, and make them yours.

First Response

15 Jun

Human beings are complex creatures. We are intelligent and capable, and have many complicated feelings and emotions. Everyone has their own unique expressions and we all have a first response emotion to the many different situations we face. Maybe the first thing we feel when things go awry is anger, or fear, or maybe our confidence leaves us and we feel vulnerable and unsure. For most of us there is one feeling that consistently pops up whenever we’re stressed. We’re all different so the scope of those emotions is wide but we all know our own specific expression. No matter what our first response is, we don’t have to hold onto it or let it take over. We control our emotions – they don’t control us unless we let them. If we feel afraid when things change we can take a breath and remember how strong and capable we are before we proceed. If we feel anger, we can take a moment to look at everything objectively before we speak. We are intelligent and can decide what works best in each scenario and then proceed to move forward in ways that bring us comfort and success. Our feelings belong to us and we can embrace them without becoming controlled by them. There will always be many ways ahead, and with clarity and temperance, we can find our way to any goal we seek.

Some people lack personal self control. They plow through their lives with abandon, and never consider the consequences of their actions. If someone gets in the way, they just push them aside and continue forward, regardless of the turmoil they cause. It’s very difficult to deal with them because it’s impossible to know what they’ll do next. We all make our own decisions, and we never have to stay in any situation we don’t want. We can step aside and let others go on by, and then continue forward toward our own success.

Just because something feels uncomfortable it doesn’t mean we can’t manage it. Life is all about change, and each new situation will teach us something about ourselves and the world around us. We are highly capable, and can always find the answers needed to do anything we desire. Everything is possible and nothing is out of reach. By trusting ourselves and taking our time, we can accomplish anything we desire. Success is always there for us and with determination and confidence, we will reach it.

Today if your first response to a new situation is keeping you from proceeding, look at everything objectively and believe in yourself. You are stronger and more powerful than you think you are and there isn’t anything you can’t do. Decide how you want to proceed and take the first step. The road ahead awaits and nothing can keep you from success.
