Down A Peg

There are all kinds of people in the world, and we’ll interact with many of them as we navigate through our lives. Some will be nice, and easy to talk to, others may be aloof and standoffish, and some may be mean and hateful. The spectrum of behaviors and expressions is unlimited and varied, but building friendships and connections help us pave the road ahead. Finding others with similar beliefs and common life patterns encourages us to form alliances and strengthen bonds. It’s good to have a network around us filled with people we can trust and honor, who offer us the same in return. But not everyone is interested in getting close. Some people are highly competitive and see those around them merely as stepping stones to get closer to what they want. If we’re in their way, they may push us aside and storm past without looking back. It’s impossible to befriend someone who only sees themselves. If they are only interested in what the world can give them and don’t care about anyone else’s feelings, it will be difficult to form any kind of lasting bond. If we must work with them it may be hard to get our opinions and ideas heard. We can try to speak up and stand strong, but they may do everything in their power to knock us down a peg, and keep us quiet. We all have something of value to offer. Nobody knows everything or has all the best ideas. We’re entitled to our own views and opinions, and can be confident in expressing them. They are not worth less because someone doesn’t want to hear them. We are never devalued just because someone thinks they are better or more important than we are. We can be confident and strong in expressing ourselves in every situation. Every dream is possible, and every success can be ours. No one can stop us from achieving our goals, and nothing can keep us from any destination we desire.

Some people believe they are somehow more essential and meaningful than the rest of us. They are confident that they have the right answers to whatever questions may arise and don’t really care about anyone else’s viewpoint or opinion. It’s good to have a strong self-image and high standards, but if we minimize the importance of others, we will miss the chance to hear new ideas, and expand our understanding. Nobody has all the answers. We can be sure of ourselves and still recognize contributions from those around us.

If we are timid or unsure, we may hesitate to speak up and share our thoughts when problems arise, but we are unique, and nobody sees the world exactly as we do. Everyone’s perception is different, and we alone may hold the keys that show the way to success. We can share our opinions and trust ourselves to find the answers we seek. We are wise and capable, and the whole world is embellished because we are here.

Today if someone is trying to hold you back and keep you quiet, remember your ideas and opinions are valuable and important. Speak up and step forward with confidence. Nothing is strong enough to hold you in place. Every success you desire is there for you. Be confident and sure. You are amazing and powerful, and all your dreams are possible.

Another Mile

We can accomplish anything we like in life, and with determination and focus, can make many dreams come true. If the goals we seek are easy to attain, we may find quick success and feel good about our accomplishments. But there are some destinations that take a lot of work and time to reach. They may require much preparation, and we might need to learn new skills and obtain greater understanding to move toward them. Everything is possible, but not everything will come easily. If the road we’ve been on has been long and difficult, and we’ve had to stretch in ways that are hard and unanticipated, if may be tough to keep going. Another mile forward may seem impossible and we might begin to doubt we’ll succeed. It takes strength and fortitude to continue when we’re tired, and courage to keep going when we aren’t sure what lies ahead. Big successes often demand big sacrifices. Do we want the goal enough to make them? Are we willing to tug and pull and stretch just a little longer? Can we trust ourselves to reach the prize? If we really want to get to the destination, we must be stalwart in our conviction that we will succeed. If the goal is important, it doesn’t matter how hard the journey is to reach it. We will always have enough to continue forward. Our lives are ours to design. We can take it easy and glide around on the simple paths. Or we can set our eyes on the goals we desire most, and do what is needed to make them ours. Every single dream is there for us. Nothing is too difficult or too far to reach. We can trust that we have everything we need to gain success, and be confident we will prevail.

We’re all individuals and have our own perspectives and ideas about what we should do and where we should go. Those around us may agree or have a completed different viewpoint. If they think our plans are too ambitious or difficult, they may try to convince us to choose something easier. We can take any advice we like, but nobody can possibly know us better than we know ourselves. Our decisions are ours to make and we don’t need agreement or permission to proceed. We can do anything and go anywhere, and reach any goal we desire.

Nobody has endless energy. If we’ve been working hard toward something for a long time, it’s likely we’ll get tired. There is no rush to reach our goals. We can take a break and step back for a while to re-evaluate what we want to do, and decide how to proceed. Standing still gives us time to see how far we’ve come, and helps us look ahead to the possibilities before us. We are intelligent and capable, and nothing is so complex we can’t unravel it. Every destination is available, and with determination and focus, we will reach them all.

Today if you’ve been working hard toward a goal you want to achieve, and the road is still long before you, remember how strong and powerful you are. If you need a break, step back and stand still. All the answers are already there for you. Decide how you want to proceed, and begin again. Nothing can keep you from any destination you desire. You have everything you need to succeed, and you will win.

Lost and Turned Around

There are endless roads we can travel and unlimited places to go. We can choose any destination we desire and go anywhere we like. We may feel confident of success when we take our first steps toward a new goal, but there is no way to know what we’ll face as we progress. Sometimes the journey is easy, and we reach the destination quickly and with few complications. But nobody gets a paved road every time, and we’ll likely face moments of confusion where we’re disoriented and not sure which way to go. It’s easy to find our way when we’re familiar with the road ahead, but striking out for something new may take us through foreign territory and we may get lost as we try to push through. When the scenery is new, and every path looks the same, we may get confused and turned around. It may take time and effort to figure out the best way forward, but we are capable and will find it. Getting lost doesn’t mean we can’t reach the destination. We are certainly intelligent and wise enough to discern where we are, and uncover how to proceed. If we take a wrong turn, we can correct our course. If we end up going the wrong direction, we can turn around and start again. Nothing is impossible and every goal is within our reach. We can trust ourselves that no matter how complicated the journey gets we’ll find all the answers we need to reach success. Life is full of twists and turns and we may face moments of doubt and uncertainty. When they come, we can step back and look at all the possibilities before us. The answers will always be there for us, and nothing can keep us from success.

If we’re involved with someone we care about and they have a lot of influence over us, it’s possible they may steer us in directions we haven’t chosen for ourselves. We may follow any advice we’re given and go where we’re directed, but nobody knows us better than we know ourselves. Following someone else’s plan will never take us where we want to go. We can chart our own course and make our own decisions, confident we will reach every destination.

Starting out toward something new takes courage. If we’re afraid of what might happen and unsure we can succeed, we may delay taking the first step forward. There is no way to know how things will go, and we might face some serious complications, and get lost along the way. One thing is certain – if we stand still in fear, we’ll go nowhere and never achieve our dreams. We deserve the lives we desire most, and have all the courage and wisdom we need to make them ours. By trusting ourselves and stepping forward with confidence, we can make all our dreams come true.

Today if you’ve gotten turned around and are unsure how to proceed, stop and look at everything objectively. The road ahead is there for you and you will find the way forward. Every dream is waiting and with focus and determination you will make them yours. Nothing can keep you from success. You are amazing and capable, and will prevail.

Return Trip

Life is full of twists and turns. We may be traveling along one way when something happens that stops us and turns us around facing the opposite direction. If we have no control over the situation, we may have to backtrack for a while until things change in ways that allow us to redirect our course forward. We are always in control of our lives but have no control over what other people are doing or how things roll out. Even our best laid plans may turn upside down without warning, and the goal we were seeking may suddenly be out of reach for a time. Nothing is permanent and eventually, things will change. How and when that will happen is impossible to predict, but we’ll be able to resume our journey at some point. The return trip back to where we were may be easy and quick, or it may take a lot of work and time to restore. There are unlimited roads to every destination and no matter what’s happened, or how long we’ve had to wait, we can discover the best way ahead. Complications may come, problems may thwart our progress, and roadblocks may get in the way. But we know what we want, and if we’re willing to push ahead despite the trouble, can reach any goal we desire. Things may go wrong, they may go very wrong, and we may question our ability to continue. Nobody gets a clear, paved road all the time. It doesn’t matter how far we’re pushed off track, it doesn’t matter if we’ve been away for a long time, and it doesn’t matter if nobody else thinks we can do it. We are more powerful and strong than we imagine, and nothing, absolutely nothing can keep us from our goals. A return trip back to where we want to be will always be possible. Our lives are ours to design. We can be confident that every destination is there for us, and with patience and determination, we will succeed.

We may be involved in a relationship where someone wants us to change who we are. If we lack confidence and care deeply for them, we may acquiesce and try to mold ourselves into their desired model. It’s impossible to find complete happiness if we’re trying to be something we’re not. Our personal happiness is important, and we can return to our true selves. We are priceless and individual, and the whole world is embellished because we are here.

Our lives are busy and can be complicated, and we might look up one day and discover we’re on a road headed somewhere we never wanted to go. Maybe we got caught up following someone else or got distracted and stepped away from what we want most. If we’re going the wrong way, we can stop, turn around, and start again. Every goal we desire is possible, and if we focus on the way forward, nothing can keep us from success.

Today if you’ve gotten stopped or turned around, and are headed away from the destinations you desire, trust yourself. You have everything you need to find your way forward. Every single dream is possible, and nothing can keep you from them. Be confident and step forward. You are amazing and powerful. Success is just ahead, and you will reach it.
