Wrong Way

31 Mar

Life is complicated and we’re constantly bombarded with decisions that must be made. Some are inconsequential but others may have far reaching consequences. Before we decide anything, we can look at all the options available, and the possible results of whichever choice we make, and then decide what we want to do. We’re responsible for every decision we make and have everything needed to make them well. But there are lots of others around us who may influence us to go in one direction or another. Their suggestions may be beneficial, or they may try to push us in a direction that might not benefit us but serves their purposes. If they are very loud and powerful, they may manipulate and coerce us to follow their promptings. If we do, we may end up going in the wrong direction and complicating our lives moving forward. It’s very disappointing to realize we’ve chosen badly because of someone else’s influence. Trying to point the finger at them when things fall apart will never change the fact that the choice was ours to make, and we own the results. Nobody is perfect and we’re all going to stumble from time to time. That doesn’t mean we can’t correct our course and start again. When big decisions are upon us, we may listen to any advice that’s offered, and then trust ourselves to choose what is best. If we are pressured to go in a direction we don’t want to travel, we can decline and take the road we desire most. There are many roads to every destination. We may get waylaid, turned around, or have to backtrack and start again, but we will find our way. If one direction doesn’t work, we can adjust our trajectory and move ahead in another. Every success is possible, and we have everything we need to go anywhere and do anything.

Every decision we make takes us somewhere and alters our life in some way. We hardly pay attention to the mundane daily choices we all make, but even though they are seemingly inconsequential, if we make them badly, we may suffer. What we choose to wear may seem like nothing except for the day we have that big meeting with someone we really want to impress. We may not pay attention to what we’re eating until some health issue arises. We don’t live in a vacuum, and everything will have a result. Being mindful, even of the small things, will enable us to move forward more confidently and successfully toward any goal we desire.

Some people are very confident and think they have all the answers to every situation. It’s annoying to have them continually tell us how we should proceed, and what we should do. They may know a lot about many things, but nobody can possibly know us better than we know ourselves. We can listen to any advice, and then choose what’s best for us. Just because a road they choose is paved and easy doesn’t mean it’s the right road for us. We know what we want and will reach every destination we desire.

Today if you’re facing a big decision, trust yourself. Every answer you need is there for you and you have everything you need to choose well. Decide what you want the most and step forward with confidence. Every success you desire is within reach, and you will make them yours.

Not Losing

10 Mar

We all have goals we want to accomplish and dreams we want to make ours. We can do anything we like and with determination can reach any destination we desire. Anything worth achieving is worth working for, but it won’t all come easily. If we really want to succeed, we must be willing to face whatever complications get in the way and figure out how to overcome them. If we are very focused and clear on what we want, when problems or issues arise, we will do what is needed to fix them and stay on track. Continuing forward despite difficult challenges takes patience and determination to succeed. If the road has been long and hard, and we’re tired of the struggle, we may decide we don’t really need to win anymore. Just not losing will be enough. There is a lot of difference between thinking about winning and thinking about not losing. If all we want to do is survive, basically get a “C” in the class, we can take shortcuts and ignore details that are hard to figure out. We can all manage to get through anything but simply getting through and achieving excellence are entirely different scenarios. Our time is valuable and once it’s gone can never be recovered. Wasting it on trying to achieve mediocrity will not enhance us or bring great satisfaction. Just doing the minimum to get to the next step will bring little gratification. There is greatness inside us all, and we have the potential to accomplish amazing things. But potential is unrealized expectations. Just because we’re capable of doing something incredible, doesn’t mean the road to achieving it will be easy, clear, and paved. If we want to become the best we can be, and make our dreams reality, we must be willing to stay the course no matter what comes. Instead of merely wanting not to lose, we must want to win. With focus, clarity, and conviction, we can find great success. We can do anything and go anywhere. The whole world is there for us, and every dream is possible.

Before we step forward in any direction, we must first decide what we want. It’s very hard to push forward toward a destination we don’t really care about. If we aren’t invested in achieving the goal, the first obstacle may knock us down. We know who we are, what we want, and where we want to go. We can decide how we want to proceed, and then do what is needed to reach any goal and make it ours.

It’s easy to coast through life. We can sit back and just let things roll out as they will, and maybe we’ll go somewhere we want, or maybe not. Sitting in the back seat and just riding along is fine if all we want is to take in the scenery. But there are dreams and destinations waiting for us, and by taking control and driving our own train, we can achieve them all. Our lives are ours to design, and with clarity and focus, we can have the lives we desire most.

Today think about what you really want. Once you decide, make a plan, and take the first step forward. You are amazing and powerful and can accomplish anything you desire. Everything is possible, and you already have everything you need to succeed. Be confident. Every dream is possible, and you will win.

Demanding More

12 Jan

Everyone on earth is valuable. We all have unique gifts to give that no one else can offer. Our talents differ with our strengths and weaknesses, and the great expanse of differences brings depth and richness to the world. It’s good to be positive and self-confident, but if we get ahead of ourselves, at some point we might begin to believe we are better, smarter or more capable than everyone else around us. We may demand more attention, more money, or more influence than we currently possess. If we esteem ourselves above those we’re interacting with, we may get a false sense of superiority and desire more control. Everyone has something of value to present and recommend moving forward. Some people have more information and can offer more complex and far reaching suggestions. We are certainly intelligent and should be recognized when we are part of any plan or solution, but demanding more than we have simply because we feel we deserve it is a fool’s game. If the facts don’t agree with our heightened sense of worth, we’ll be disappointed. A strong and confident self-image is important but will never move us ahead if we haven’t achieved what is needed to get there. By recognizing exactly where we are and understanding the contributions we’ve made and what we have yet to achieve, we can clearly see the road ahead. Everything we desire is within our reach if we accomplish what is needed to achieve it. We can be patient and focused, and with determination and resolve reach every goal. The whole world is blessed and enriched because we are here. By learning all we can, and contributing every good thing, we will find great satisfaction and happiness.

People work differently and have their own ideas about how things should be done. If we’re quick to find solutions, those around us who are aren’t as fast may seem to be dragging their feet. We may think they aren’t as committed or dedicated as we are, but speed doesn’t define commitment. Working more slowly doesn’t mean there is a lack of interest or devotion to the project. We can accept differences in others, understand our part in the process, and work together to achieve the goal.

If we are very confident, we may believe we have the answers for every problem that arises. We may be very wise and have a lot to offer, but nobody has all the answers for everything. Being open to different suggestions and seeing our situations through someone else’s eyes, will bring a broader understanding and help us see every possible option. We are intelligent and capable, and will find every answer to ensure success.

Today if you feel you’re worth more than you’re getting and are demanding more control, remember everyone has something of value to offer. Be open to other ideas and suggestions, and you’ll have a greater understanding of everything before you. You are amazing and have so much to offer. Listen carefully and let your light shine. The whole world is enriched because you are here. Step forward with confidence and clarity, and every success will be yours.

Make Believe

28 Dec

We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives. Many are routine and inconsequential, and we hardly give them any thought. However, some decisions are so important, they may change the trajectory of our lives moving forward. If we’re in a tight spot and doing the right thing would be difficult, we might decide to choose an easier, although unethical or dishonest, option. Bad decisions may require little effort in the beginning, but what happens afterward may be harder to face. We are always in control of everything we do, and if we want to, can choose the easiest roads ahead regardless of whether or not they are the best. If we get tangled up and impact others, we can deny we had anything to do with it and ignore the complications we’ve created, but the truth will eventually rise, and we’ll have to answer for what we’ve done. Playing make believe is fun when we’re children, but pretending things are different than they really are never works as adults. Nobody is perfect and we’re all going to falter at some time or another, but by owning our decisions and doing what is needed to correct our course and fix what we’ve broken, we can regain our footing and get back on track. Our lives belong to us and each choice we make defines who we are. We can choose wisely and live in ways that bring us happiness and the respect of those around us. Or we can thoughtlessly blunder through, do what we want regardless of the consequences, and have lives filled with chaos and disharmony. The choices we make will decide what happens. We are intelligent and capable of making excellent decisions. By taking our time, and getting as much information as possible beforehand, we can make choices that bring us the results we’re seeking. We don’t have to play make believe when our lives reflect what we want most and take us where we want to go.

It takes a lot of energy to come up with stories and try to design facts to create a narrative we want. Instead of embellishing what’s really happening, we can simply state things as they are and let the situation develop honestly. We can be confident in making good decisions, and trust ourselves to find the best roads ahead. Every destination is there for us, and with clarity and focus, we will succeed.

When we want to look our best, we may wear our best clothes and add adornments that make us look great. Dressing up can change the way we appear to others but dressing up the truth changes nothing. Truth is what it is. Trying to make it appear different to be more pleasing or easier to accept doesn’t change the situation. We can manage anything that arises and face any complication or problem, sure we will prevail. Nothing is too hard for us to handle, and every success is always possible.

Today if you’re tempted to make a bad decision out of desperation or uncertainty, remember how strong and capable you are. Face things as they are and make choices that will help you move forward. Every destination is possible, and with honesty and clarity, you can do anything you desire. You are amazing and capable, and nothing can keep you from success.

Nothing Bigger

23 Dec

Life is full of possibilities. There are endless roads to travel and unlimited things to accomplish. We can do anything we desire and reach any destination we like. The world is a big place filled with unlimited options. When we think about everything possible, we might think we want something bigger than ourselves. It’s good to reach for something beyond our grasp, but it’s impossible to find anything bigger than ourselves. We are the number one focus of our lives. If we don’t attend to our personal needs and desires, it will be nearly impossible to succeed at anything else. Our personal safety and health must take priority if we intend to reach our goals. Ignoring what we need to thrive will rob us of the vibrance we need to succeed. There are a lot of demands on us much of the time and it’s easy to put off our own needs while we tend to others. If we aren’t careful, we may find all our time is taken in service and assignments. Sacrificing our time to help and serve those around us is noble, but if we give everything away and keep nothing for ourselves, we will ultimately fail. Success comes when we find the balance between giving and taking. It’s not selfish to take excellent care of ourselves – it’s wise. When we make sure our personal needs are met, getting enough sleep, eating well, and getting the exercise we need to be strong, the road ahead is easy. If we suffer neglect, we won’t have the energy or strength to give our very best. Time for ourselves must be a priority if we want to reach our goals and do everything we desire. There is nothing bigger or more important. We are intelligent and capable of making excellent decisions. By valuing our personal best and doing what is needed to ensure we can offer it, we will reach success in every endeavor. Every goal is possible, and with wisdom and clarity, we will reach them.

We live in a time of information overload. We are constantly bombarded with directions and advice about how to live, what to do, and where to go. There is no end to the suggestions we may receive, and we must filter it to fit into our own needs and desires. Our goal is never to do everything everyone else thinks we should do, but to do the one thing we want most to accomplish. It doesn’t have to match anyone else’s ideas. We can choose our own road ahead and move toward success.

Preparation is the key to any successful venture. If we want to be strong and vibrant, we must do what is needed to get there. Desiring success will not magically make it happen. We must first define what we want, then move forward with confidence. Strength comes from struggle and hard work. We are more powerful than we realize and can accomplish anything we desire. By preparing carefully, and moving forward with determination and clarity, we will prevail.

Today if you’ve been sacrificing your own needs for work or service, remember you are the most important person in your life. By caring for yourself you will more effectively move ahead and reach greater heights of success. Be mindful and prepare. Every success is there for you, and with focus and wisdom, you will make them yours.
