Spider webs are amazing creations. Intricate and lacy, sticky and deadly, and a perfect trap for the prey the spider seeks. Although we don’t construct physical webs like the spider, we can, with great detail and precision, use lies to create scenarios that attract and hold others where we want them. We can say and do anything that will create the situations we desire. If the facts don’t work for us, we can make up something else that will push us ahead or move us closer to where we want to be. Lying is easy and we can use it to get out of trouble, or open doors that will help us reach our goals. We can pave the road ahead with fiction and say whatever is needed to make sure we get what we want. One lie leads to another, and then another, and before we know it we may find we’ve created something completely different than what is real. We may get away with it at first, but the problem with lies is, just like the spider’s web, they tend to cross over one another and we will eventually get entangled in the web of deceit we’ve created that’s difficult to navigate and squirm out of. It’s hard to remember lies we’ve told because there is no basis in fact. When confronted, we might try to use distractions or attempt to rewrite history by denying what we’ve done. But in the end, however long that takes, we’re going to be found out. Lying creates weak links in our relationships, and will never build trust or confidence. Every lie takes something away from us, and each time we do it, we lose valor and integrity. Our lives are our responsibility and who we are is defined by what we do. Truth brings strength and wisdom. No matter where we are or what’s going on, honesty will always be the best option for moving forward. There is greatness in us, and when we honor the very best we have to offer, every road ahead will open, and we will reach success.
If we lack confidence or are unsure of ourselves, we may think pretending to be something we aren’t will get us through. We can make up any stories we like, and if those around us don’t know any better, we may be able to spin a completely fictitious tale that is believable on the surface and helps us squeak through for now. If it works, we may think we got away with it, and we may have for a time, but truth is powerful and will eventually show itself. It’s far better to admit we don’t have the answers and ask for help instead of trying to bluff our way through. Nobody knows everything and we may be amazed at the support we get.
It’s very hard to keep up a ruse indefinitely. It takes a lot of focus and energy to remember the lies we’ve told, and try to keep the story straight. The time it takes to come up with continuing fictional developments may be extreme and exhausting. Instead of wasting time on creating endless tales, we can use that energy to focus on how to reach the goals we most desire. A clean plan filled with facts and clarity will enable us to more quickly reach the success we want, and pave the road ahead.
Today if you’ve been making up stories to get people to follow you or open doors, trust yourself. You are amazing, and nothing is better than who you really are. Be confident and let your true self shine. You have gifts to offer nobody else can give. Stand strong and step forward with clarity and faith. Nothing is out of reach and you will succeed.
