Vengeance

People make all kinds of decisions, both good and bad. We can do anything we want to do, and if we’re only thinking about ourselves, may make decisions that work against us. If someone hurts us and we’re angry, we might purposely do something to hurt them in return. We may lie about them and try to turn others against them to bring them pain and make them pay. Revenge can seem fair when we’re determined to settle a score, but never makes things better and can escalate an already difficult situation. We may be successful in hurting the other party and we might achieve whatever negative objectives we’re after, but the cost will be high. Hurting someone else is easy, being mean is easy, and getting revenge may feel good at first but in the end, we may lose more than we imagined. The truth of every situation will eventually be revealed and if we’ve been spiteful and conniving, or have lied or besmirched someone’s reputation unfairly, we will be found out. There is no virtue or nobility in revenge. In the end, we may lose the trust of those around us, and will only gain heartache and a loss of self-respect. Pain happens to all of us and sometimes we may be judged unfairly, or ridiculed, or we may lose something we value. Allowing anger to determine our next steps will only bring us failure and disappointment. Instead of seeking revenge, we can step back and look at everything objectively and clearly. We can decide to move forward with integrity and courage, and choose the most successful road ahead. We are defined by our actions. Making sure they represent the best of who we are will take us where we most want to go.

Time is always moving forward and there is no way to go back and change something in our past. Once we do something, even if we regret it later, it remains forever. Nothing can change it and we must live with it going forward. We all want to make good decisions but everyone makes mistakes. If we’re angry or upset, we may falter and choose something negative that brings us shame. If we’ve chosen badly, we can accept what’s happened, do what’s needed to amend any pain we’ve caused, correct our course, and continue forward.

Nothing is ever gained by hurting others. We may feel justified or vindicated if we make someone who has offended us suffer, but that is a mirage. We gain nothing through revenge. Whatever victory we believe we’ve achieved will be hallow when we realize we’ve traded our nobility to get even. We are worth more than we realize. We can hold onto to our values and choose the right when things go wrong. Every blessing is possible and by choosing wisely, even when we’re in pain, we’ll reach every destination we desire.

Today if someone has offended you and you are determined to make them pay, remember your standards are more important than revenge. Step up and move forward with integrity and honesty. You are a great blessing to the world and when you choose wisely, we all benefit. You can reach any destination you desire. Keep your eyes focused ahead, and nothing will keep you from success.

Starting Again

People are complex beings, filled with all kinds of different ideas, perceptions and emotions. We interpret our experiences through what we’ve already seen and done, and many times, we’ll have an expectation of how things will evolve and what will happen. Things they might actually go the way we think they will, but sometimes unexpected developments turn everything upside down and we are caught unaware and unprepared. Maybe we had no control over how things played out or we didn’t understand the entire situation, or misunderstood something important. A thousand things can go sideways at any time and if we end up somewhere we had no intention of going, or find ourselves in a situation we don’t want, we may struggle to find our way again. We only have control over ourselves and the decisions we make. Everything else is out of our hands. Even if we’ve chosen well, the decisions of others may alter our course and cause disruption in our plans. There are many roads to every destination, and if the road we’re on isn’t working we can step aside and try something else. If we aren’t happy with the direction we’re traveling or where we’re headed, we can turn and start again. We can change anything necessary to create a situation that works best for us. We’re always in control of our lives and we know what we want. We can do anything and go anywhere we desire. There are endless possible options always available and we need only decide how we want to proceed. No road is a permanent destination and nothing can stop us from having the lives we dream about. Everything is possible and we can achieve anything we desire.

A lack of control over our lives can lead to depression and sadness. We may be in a situation where someone else is telling us what we should do and where we should go. If they are powerful and demanding, we may simply follow their lead and obey their direction. If we do, we will end up with the lives they design and desire. We are all unique and deserve to live our lives in ways that bring us complete fulfillment and happiness. It’s impossible to find satisfaction living someone else’s life. Our dreams and desires are important and valuable. We can stand strong and choose to live the lives we want the most.

Our choices make us who we are. Each decision takes us somewhere and teaches us something. If we aren’t happy or feel unsettled, we can change course and start again. We have unlimited opportunities to try something new. We can always move in a new direction that will bring us satisfaction and happiness. Life is filled with possibilities and we can do anything. All our dreams are possible and by taking control and choosing the way forward we can make them real.

Today if you don’t like the road you’re on and want something more, turn in a new direction that takes you toward your dreams. Look ahead and decide what you want. Nothing is too far for you to reach and every destination is possible. You deserve complete happiness. Step forward and start again on the road that will take you to it.

Steering the Ship

Sometimes life takes us to places we don’t want to go.  When we’re struggling we may question how we ended up here.  How did we get to this place that doesn’t fit or move us forward?  We can’t read the future and it’s not always easy to see where a path will take us.  It takes time to consider all possible eventualities but if we don’t rush and think carefully before choosing we’ll have a better chance of ending up where we want to go.  Odds are no matter where we are it’s exactly where we were headed.  Every road has a destination and will take us there every time.  But it’s not the end of the journey.  If we’re unhappy we can move on to someplace that feels better and fits us more perfectly.  We’re always in control of our lives and can go anywhere we want but we have to decide where that is and then do what is necessary to get there.  We can design our lives any way we like but we must take control.  A ship at sea without a rudder and someone turning the wheel to direct it forward will simply flow wherever the water takes it.  Our lives are the same way.  If we don’t control our decisions and choose our paths, life will choose them for us.  We can decide what we want and then steer our ship in the direction we want to go.  There isn’t anything we can’t do and every destination is available but we must take control and move forward toward success.  It’s all up to us.  The world will do what it will and we can follow along but taking charge of what we’re doing will bring us satisfaction and fulfillment.  We know what we want.  With persistence and determination we can achieve anything and reach any shore we desire.

There are always all kinds of unknown variables that may come into play in every decision we make.  Because we never know what’s around the next corner or who will enter the picture, learning to be flexible is an asset that will help us succeed.  There are many ways to accomplish any task.  We can keep our eyes focused forward, make changes as needed, and get to the goal.  We have everything we need to reach any destination.  We can bend when we need to and find our way.

Some people are very self-directed and forceful.  They place great value on their ideas and may be very convincing.  We can follow anyone at any time and simply go wherever they’re headed.  It’s easy to acquiesce and do what we’re told but nobody knows us better than we know ourselves.  What’s best for one doesn’t mean it’s best for all.  Our personal choices are valuable and worthwhile and we can have any kind of life we choose.  We can take our own roads and reach the places we want the most.  Our lives belong to us and we can make our dreams come true.

Today if you’ve been letting others steer your ship and just following along, remember how valuable you are.  You can do anything you want.  Decide where you want to go and step forward.  Be confident and trust yourself.  You have everything you need to prevail and nothing is out of reach.  All your dreams are possible and with determination you will make them come true.

The Last Step

Life takes us down many roads and to countless destinations. Every decision we make takes us somewhere and if we’re wise, we’ll make choices that take us to the places we desire most. But life can get complicated and we’re often busy with details and responsibilities. In the confusion and noise persisting around us, if we’re rushed or distracted, we might make a choice that turns out to be something we never wanted and takes us to a place we don’t like. It’s important to remember that each time we choose the first step on a path we are also choosing the last. It’s unlikely we’ll be able to change the destination of any road and we’ll inevitably end up where it’s headed. As we’re making choices in our personal lives, we can’t always see the end from the beginning. There will always be unknown factors and influences that may convolute our path. Although we can’t know everything that may happen, if we take the time to review the possibilities we can see before we choose, we have a better chance of getting the results we’re hoping for. Life is filled with unknowns but we are wise enough to evaluate all the options before us and make the best choices moving forward. The path may twist and we may have a blind curve or two, but we can be confident of success by evaluating each situation and choosing the best way forward. There are unlimited possibilities available to us. We can make excellent choices and get to all the destinations we desire the most.

It’s easy to walk on a paved, lighted road that’s clear and has all the signs we need to point the way forward. When everything is planned for us and the road ahead is open and leads exactly where we want it to go, we can quickly and easily achieve our goal.
But our lives don’t often work that way. We may be unclear about which way to go, unsure if we can manage the task, and worried about the complications that may arise. There is no way to read the future and we must trust ourselves to make the best choice possible before we begin. No matter what road we choose, if the destination is important, we will overcome anything in our way. We have everything we need to succeed and with determination will reach the goal.

Nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes from time to time. If we’ve made a  mistake in judgement and have taken a road to somewhere we don’t want to go we can stop and redirect the way forward. Nothing is permanent and we can alter our direction at any time. A mistake is inconsequential once we correct our course and we can move forward with confidence that we’ll succeed. Every dream is possible and with wisdom we can make decisions that will bring us the lives we desire most.

Today if you realize you’re on the wrong road and the destination ahead isn’t what you’re seeking, step to the side and consider all your options. Change direction until you’re facing the goals you desire and then step forward. You are amazing and powerful, and everything is possible. Choose the best road ahead and make all your dreams come true.

Looking In

As we go through our lives, every decision we make takes us somewhere and tells the world and those around us who we really are. We can say anything to anyone to convince them we are one way or another, but what we do tells the real story. Our actions will always shine the truth on every situation. If we’re good at pretending and hold fast to what we’re trying to portray, we may even convince ourselves we are different than we really are. But nothing can hold the truth back forever. It will always rise and show itself openly and clearly to us and those around us. We can do anything we like with our lives and gain any attributes we value, but it takes determination and focus to do our best and be honest and authentic in every decision. The world is filled with all kinds of temptations and possibilities. Sometimes it may be easier to get what we want by deception and trickery instead of working toward the goal with integrity and diligence. If we are desperate to win the prize, we may choose a path of deception that takes us far from the person we most want to be. We might fool those around us but when we look in the mirror, the person staring back will always know the truth. There is never a need to compromise our personal values or integrity. There isn’t anything we can’t do honestly and valiantly. It may take longer than cheating the system, but choosing well enhances our self-esteem and builds our confidence. We deserve the best lives possible, and choosing to be honest in all our dealings will help us achieve every goal.

There are all kinds of ideas in the world and a constant tug of war between what is right and wrong. The values of one group may contradict the values of another, and there will always differences of opinion. Despite differences in interpretation, we can choose the best road forward that reflects our personal honesty and ethical standards. There will always be the opportunity to make excellent decisions and choices that are above reproach and enhance us going forward.

Nobody is perfect and imperfections are a natural part of life. We all have things about ourselves we’d like to change and when we’re ready can do what is needed to alter them to better reflect who we are. Despite any perceived shortcomings, there is never a need to hide are true selves. We are valuable as we are and have much to offer. There is nobody else in the world who can give the gifts we have to share. We can be sure of our abilities and go forward with clarity and confidence.

Today, if the goal you’re trying to reach has been difficult and you’re considering cheating to get there, remember your choices tell everyone who you really are. Choose the path that will reflect your personal honesty and integrity. You are a great blessing and your influence can lift us all. Make the best decisions possible and set the example for good. Step forward with confidence, and you will find great success.
