Greatness

The world is filled with all kinds of people. There are millions of us with endless ideas and expressions regarding how things should go and what we should do. Most people are good and will do their best to live a noble and virtuous life, and we can always make  good decisions about own lives. As we strive to live well, there will always be a lot of influences around us. There are constant messages about how we should look, what we should have, where we should live, and thousands of other opinions. We could never measure up to all the values and attributes others suggest, and trying to do so may lead to feelings of inadequacy and imperfection. The world is full of ideas and it’s impossible to emulate every single one. If we try to become what someone else thinks we should be, or do what they think we should do, we will lose our own uniqueness and the gifts we have to offer will be lost. We were created to be exactly who we are. We are the only one like us in all creation. The only one. Nobody else will ever be able to give the world what we offer. It doesn’t matter what others are doing, it doesn’t matter what they think or how they want us to live. What’s important is that we’re authentic to exactly who we are. It’s easy to forget the greatness we bring, but it will always be there inside us, ready to share. We can recognize what a true blessing we are and how important our influence is to the world around us. Nothing could ever replace us or take our place. We are where we need to be at this very moment, and can do anything we want going forward. The whole world is blessed because we are here, and our influence is great and valuable.

It’s always easy to bring people together when they share a common interest. They understand each other’s perspectives and their shared concerns give them a base for recognition and communication. We can share anything we like in our lives, but we never need to conform to someone else’s view. Going along to get along will never bring us the happiness or satisfaction we deserve. Being completely authentic and genuine in our choices will bring us great contentment and gratification.

Pianos do not have unlimited keys. They always have eighty-eight keys and although the tones are limited, the melodies that can be created using them are endless. Imagine what would happen if they had endless keys and tones. The possibilities are beyond our comprehension. Our lives are like a piano with unlimited keys. We can do anything, go anywhere, and accomplish any goal we desire. Nothing, absolutely nothing, is off limits. We can make every dream come true and reach any destination we desire. We are powerful and incredible, and our greatness influences everything around us for good.

Today if you’ve been following someone else’s ideas about how you should live your life, remember how great and unique you are. You are like a rare, perfect diamond, one of a kind, and irreplaceable. Be exactly who you are and your influence will enrich us all. Nothing can ever take your place, and the whole world is blessed because you are here.

Bad to Worse

Nobody’s perfect and we all make mistakes. Even when we’re trying our best, things go wrong sometimes and we may do something we regret or don’t want others to know about. The mistake we’ve made may be so difficult that we try to hide it from those around us. That may work sometimes, but if it doesn’t and someone finds out, in our embarrassment or shame, we may lie and say we didn’t do it, or don’t know anything about it. We may hope it’ll just fade away and no one will ever bring it up again – which again may work sometimes. However, if others get involved trying to find out what happened or who is responsible, and we keep lying to cover our tracks, our situation will only worsen. A mistake isn’t the end of the world and even if it’s bad, we can recover. But complicating matters further by lying and denying won’t solve anything. Instead our situation may deteriorate and we may find we’re in deeper than if we’d told the truth at the beginning. It’s like digging a hole. The first denial is the first shovelful of dirt out of the ground. Each additional lie or distraction digs us in further and before we know it, we’re in a hole we can’t get out of. One mistake is just that – one mistake. Even if it’s big and impacts others negatively, owning up to it at the beginning will make it possible for us to fix whatever has gone wrong, and start again. Wrong turns teach us a lot about the way forward. We discover what doesn’t work and can use that information to help us find the best roads ahead. Life is all about learning and we’re going to stumble from time to time. When we falter, admitting what we’ve done and gaining all we can from the experience, will help us find success as we move forward.

When we’re interacting with someone who wants us to do something difficult, it may not be easy to comply. If the task is hard and we’re struggling to get through, we may try to find a way around it. When asked about our progress, we may lie and say we’re doing fine, when in fact we’re no closer to completion than when we started. We never have to compromise our values in an effort to please someone else. If we can’t do what’s been requested, we can say so. Being honest in all our dealings, even those that are complicated and difficult, will bring us great confidence and satisfaction.

It’s possible to get tangled up in someone else’s problems. They may come to us for advice but then dump their issue onto us. We can always help but we never have to take ownership of anyone else’s trouble. We can be supportive and allow them to keep what is theirs. Our lives are important and we deserve to be happy and comfortable. We can make excellent decisions, and find our way with confidence and clarity.

Today if you’ve made a big mistake and are trying to cover your tracks so others won’t know, think again. Be honest and own what’s yours. Then step forward and adjust your course until you find the best road ahead. You are amazing and strong, and nothing can hold you down. Be confident and trust yourself. All the answers are there for you and you will prevail.

Glue

When we have two things we want to stick together, glue is a very useful tool. We all use it from time to time, and when we need it, nothing else will do. As we go through our lives we’ll meet and make connections with all kinds of people, make decisions that will take us to many different places, and choose every road we want to travel. We may build relationships that help us move forward, and take us to the destinations we desire. However, it’s also possible the relationships we value may hold us in place. Tradition and custom carry a lot of power and some people believe they must be honored and maintained no matter the cost. If we’re close to our families or loved ones, and they want to keep everything the same as it’s always been, it may be hard for us to do anything outside their norm. They may pressure us to conform to the traditional model and we may feel we can’t move and are glued in place. Trying to make others happy may keep us from achieving the goals we most desire. It would be easy if we all wanted the same things and agreed on every step ahead, but that will never be the case. We’re all unique and deserve to live our lives authentically, in ways that express our individuality and personal choices. Traditions and customs have a place and we can honor them, but our lives are ours alone and we can design them any way we like. Nothing can hold us in place if we’re determined to move. We can be respectful of others, recognize and value their decisions, and still make our own. Our destinies are ours to choose. We can go anywhere and do anything. We can have the lives we dream about, and find great success.

Keeping things the same and following roads that have been traveled well by those around us may bring comfort and security. But there are unlimited roads to travel and endless destinations to choose. Limiting ourselves to what is known and commonplace will only bring us experiences that are known and commonplace. If we all did the same things, life would be stagnant and boring. We can reach beyond where we are, step onto new roads and make them ours. The whole world is there for us, and we can reach further and achieve more.

Most of us like ice cream. It’s sweet and delicious, and there are endless flavors we can choose. Of course, we can always get vanilla. We’ve had it many times before and know what to expect. But limiting ourselves to only one closes the door to the exciting experiences we could have by trying something new. A life filled with repetition may bring some satisfaction, but will never fulfill our fondest dreams or help us reach our most treasured goals. By choosing what we want most and traveling the roads that will take us there, we can make our dreams come true and live the lives we want.

Today if you’re being pressured to keep things the same and stick with what’s known, remember your life is valuable and you can make your dreams reality. You are not glued in place. Nothing is out of reach and every goal you desire is possible. Look ahead and choose the road you want the most. Step forward and reach further. You can make your dreams come true, and every success is possible.

One Step Further

There are unlimited things we can accomplish in our lives and we can go anywhere and do anything we desire. Everything is possible and with focus and determination we can create the lives we want and make our fondest dreams reality. When we’re pushing toward a goal and we’ve been working on it for a while, we may tire and need to stop for a time until we decide on our next steps. We may be reticent to halt our progress even temporarily, and want to continue to push through despite our fatigue. However, standing still gives us the chance to review how far we’ve come and look ahead at the options before us. Seeing the road ahead before we move forward will help us avoid pitfalls and complications that are obvious before we begin. We can’t read the future and there is no way to predict problems that may occur, but if we take the time to look carefully before we proceed, we may be able to head some of them off before they arrive. It’s good to be focused and push ahead, and we can achieve any goal we desire, but before we take one step further, we can review every option and make the best choices possible. We have all the wisdom and insight we need to find our way to any goal we’ve chosen. There will likely be obstacles in the way from time to time, but we will always be able to find the path around them. If the road we’re on stops or ends, we can find another one to continue moving forward. Nothing is impossible and we have everything we need to prevail, no matter where we want to go. If the goal is huge and complex, we can take it apart and advance one step at a time. We are smart enough and strong enough to go anywhere and do anything. Nothing is too far to reach, and we will have the lives we desire most.

When we reach a goal and have accomplished what we set out to do, there may be a great sense of achievement and relief. We may feel we’ve finally arrived, and take some time to relax and bask in our success. It’s good to reach our goals and feel complete, but life continues on and although we may be happy with where we are now, as we move forward, there will always be another step to take. The possibilities are endless and with each success, new doors before us will open and offer new horizons to explore.

Keeping our lives small and restricted may make us feel secure and comfortable. We know the players around us, and what to expect. It’s fine to stick to the same patterns if we want a simple, predictable life, but the world is filled with opportunities and possibilities. If we reach just a little further, and try something new, we may find great happiness and satisfaction. There are endless things to do and we can fill our lives with worthwhile and enriching experiences. We can have the lives we dream about and accomplish anything we desire.

Today if you’ve reached a goal you’ve been striving for and feel content and happy, enjoy your success and everything you’ve earned. There are unlimited possibilities awaiting you and the whole world is there for the taking. Move forward with confidence, take another step further, and you’ll find great happiness and satisfaction.

Invisible Thread

The world is a busy place. There are billions of people doing billions of things all the time. Even in our small circle, there are others all around us and a lot going on. It might seem we’re all separate and doing things on our own, and sometimes we are, but in the overall scheme of things, we’re all connected more than we may realize. What one person does may have far reaching affects on the lives and decisions of those around them. Even insignificant, and seemingly unimportant choices may ripple through and change things in their path. Everything that happens creates something new. We never know how much impact our presence makes. Every step we take, every person we encounter, everything we say and do, creates a new reality around us. Like an invisible thread running through the world, our circles intertwine and our influence blends with those around us and creates the world we live in. There is no way to be in the world and leave it untouched. Just by being here we are making an impression of some kind. If we’re negative and mean, that impression may bring unhappiness and frustration. If we’re kind and caring, it may bring great comfort and satisfaction. Who we are and what we do will either embellish or detract from our experience and the experiences of those around us. We don’t live in a vacuum and will make an impact of some kind. Our lives are ours to design and we can do anything we like. We can bring light and joy and experience complete happiness. There is greatness in each of us. What we do with it is up to us.

When we think of the enormity of the world, we may feel insignificant and unnoticed. In the towns where we live, big or small, we feel ignored and overlooked. There is often a lot of noise and busyness, and if we’re demure or quiet, we may struggle to be heard. There is value in every voice and we all have something to offer. We can be confident, even if we’re not the fastest, the strongest, or the loudest, that our opinions and ideas are important. The gifts we have to offer are unique, and when we share them, we can change everything.

We’re all one human family and as such, feel each other’s pain and suffering. We feel grief when we hear of disasters and turmoil in far away places, and compassion for those who are struggling. We’re all different and there may be conflicting views, but we can overcome them by honoring our human connections and trusting each other. We’re all in this together, and each choice we make will either enrich us or detract from our experience. There is no way to remove the influence of our presence. We are integral and valuable. We can bring happiness and joy to those around us, and give light to the world.

Today if you feel like you’re not important and nobody cares about what you’re doing, remember nobody else in the entire world can give the gifts you offer. You are unique and precious, and the whole world is blessed because you are here. Be confident and trust yourself. You are amazing. Your influence reaches further than you imagine, and we are all enriched by your presence.
