Seeking Diligently

26 Jun

As we travel through our lives we may come upon many complicated situations, problems, confusions or obstacles we must navigate and solve.  There is an answer to every question we encounter but sometimes those answers may elude us.  Although we know we can solve any problem we face, finding the solution may take serious work and thought and we may find ourselves stumped from time to time.  When looking for answers, often how quickly we find them depends on how seriously we seek them.  If the issue isn’t too bothersome we may half-heartedly look for the solution or we may even ignore the problem hoping it’ll just fade away.  When the problem is serious or impacts our lives greatly we may be more motivated to look for the answer.  It’s unlikely we’ll find any answer we aren’t looking for and if we really want to find it, seeking diligently will help us get there as quickly as possible.  To be diligent means to be steady and energetic.  Solutions we need won’t just appear out of nowhere.  We must make the search for them a priority, and seek them earnestly and seriously in order to find them.  Complications come to all of us and the only way to live in harmony is to find the answers we need so we may navigate them effectively and with as little stress as possible.  Seeking diligently will allow us to find the solutions we need as quickly as possible to solve any problem we are facing.  We have everything we need to live our lives well.  We can resolve issues and find peace and comfort going forward.

There may be times when things go wrong we feel the problem is too intense or too complicated for us to face.  When that happens we may purposely look away and refuse to see what is really happening.  But looking away will never change the facts and until we decide to see things as they really are we will be stuck.  Nobody want’s trouble in their lives but when trouble comes to us, looking away and ignoring it will never help us get through it.  We can see everything clearly and begin the process of openly and diligently searching for answers until we find what we need to move forward.

Sometimes a quick fix or a temporary patch feels like an option to help us resolve a difficult situation.  They may work for a time but because they are not permanent the problem will return and we’ll have to solve it again.  Instead of facing the issue over and over again it’s better to take the time we need to really examine it and find a permanent solution.  Being able to move forward without dragging along complications from the past will enable us to live more fully and successfully.  We have everything we need to live happily.  Seeking diligently and then applying the answers we find will enable us to move forward with confidence and clarity.

Today if you’re facing a difficult situation that is complicated and daunting, look at it clearly.  You have everything you need to solve any problem you face.  Seek diligently and the answers will come.  Move forward with confidence.  There isn’t anything you can’t do and do well.  Success is there for you.

Obstacles

16 Jun

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.” Henry Ford

No matter what goals we’re striving for or what we’re seeking chances are it won’t just fall into our laps without some effort.  While it’s true some things come more easily than others, it’s also true that what we want most generally takes work.  There will always be complications and unforeseen problems and keeping our eyes on the goal helps us navigate them and move through them patiently and effectively.  But sometimes our vision is blocked and when we see all the things that may go wrong and everything we must overcome to get to the destination we may lose our confidence.  If all we can see are the problems blocking our way it’s impossible to see the road ahead.  If we lose our focus and can’t see the way forward we can take a break.  We can take the time we need to regroup and refocus.  We can recharge and when we’re ready to start again the road will still be there waiting.  We can accomplish anything we want to and if we keep our eyes on the destination, no matter how complicated things get or how many times we have to revise our plans, we will have all the wisdom and courage we need to continue on.  Every dream we seek is available to us.  Every goal can be reached and every destination conquered.  We can plan our way forward effectively and do what works best to achieve anything we desire.

Nobody knows what the future will bring and we may be surprised by something we never expected to stand in our way.  It may be hard to figure out how to navigate around complications.  All the answers we need are available to us but we have to keep our eyes open and be willing to look for them in order to find them.  If we are determined we will find everything we need to discover a way around any obstacle.  We know where we want to go and we can choose the best way forward.

It’s nice to think about things working out without any effort but thankfully that isn’t real life.  The struggle to make something work, and the effort it takes to make our wishes become reality teach us the lessons we need to find additional success going forward.  The challenges we overcome and the trials we navigate give us priceless tools that teach us how to find success.  The experience we gain as we push through difficult situations is valuable and worthwhile.  If we remember what we’re learning when things go wrong we will have more confidence to continue.  There isn’t anything we can’t accomplish if we keep our eyes on the goal and keep moving forward.

Today if you’ve been distracted by all the things in your way that are keeping you from moving forward, focus on the goal you want to achieve.  Complications are just indications that you need to adjust your path forward.  You can accomplish anything you desire.  Keep your eyes on the goal and take another step.  You’ll get there and all your dreams will come true.

Uncovering Truth

13 Jun

As we go through our lives we experience many things. We have bad experiences, good ones, difficult times, easy moments and a huge spectrum of emotions. We feel everything we go through and whatever we experience involves some sort of emotion. Some people are stoic and it’s hard to know what they are feeling and others wear everything out in the open for all to see. Whether we display them or not we will feel a broad range of emotions every day. They help us understand what we’re going through but we must be careful that our emotions don’t deceive us. Feelings can lie to us and make us believe things that aren’t true. They are often reflective of experiences we’ve had in the past and if we have unresolved fear, unsettled disappointment or uncertainty our emotions may bring it to the surface again. They may color our interpretation of what we’re going through now even though they have nothing to do with our current situation. When we feel unsure or afraid we can take a moment to think about what is triggering the emotion. Does it pertain to what’s happening now or is it just a memory resurfacing? We can uncover the truth and take control of our lives. Emotions are complex and deeply ingrained in who we are. We can manage them effectively by looking at them objectively and seeing them for what they are.

Our emotional memories are very strong. Someone may say something or we see something that reminds us of a difficult time and all the emotions we felt may come flooding back. We can’t control the response but we can control what we do when it happens. If we’re suddenly overwhelmed with sorrow or fear we can take a breath, let the flood wash over us and then objectively determine how we will go forward. We don’t have to crash and burn because a difficult memory has momentarily overtaken us. We can resettle ourselves and remember the past is behind us and need not control us going forward. Every day brings new opportunities for growth and learning, and we can let the past go and keep walking.

Everything we experience changes us in some way. We are all the sum total of our experiences and each experience teaches us something we can take with us going forward. Even our worst trial gives us some value that benefits us. When old emotions take us back to the struggle, we can find the lesson we learned to help us going forward. Feelings may lie to us and tell us we haven’t moved at all, but we can uncover the truth and continue forward with confidence. We are amazing, capable and strong. There isn’t anything we can’t do or overcome.

Today if you feel bad over something in the past and it’s affecting your ability to move forward, look at the situation clearly and see everything you’ve learned. You can take the best lessons forward with you and leave the rest behind. You have everything you need to find happiness and success, and nothing will hold you back. Take control and move forward. The best is there for you and you will be happy.

Paying the Bill

5 Jun

There is an old saying that there is no such thing as a free lunch, meaning no matter what we do or what we seek there will always be a price to pay.  Everything we do has a consequence.  We are not isolated living on a desert island alone and every choice we make, everything we say, and every action we take will have a result that may impact others.  We are accountable for everything we do and if we create stress or problems we will have to correct the situation.  If we are wise and careful in all our dealings our balance sheet may be easier to manage than if we simply do anything we like without regard to what may happen afterward.  We know how to make excellent decisions and for the most part try to do our best, but complications come to us all and sometimes the way forward is cloudy and hard to decipher.  When that happens we make the best decisions with what we have and if things go awry we can do what is needed to turn things around.  Being accountable for our actions is not optional and is required in everything we do.  We can make positive decisions and plan our choices carefully so they bring us the results we are seeking.  We can pay our bills as we go and move forward with confidence taking all we’ve learned along with us.

Some people are careless and thoughtless.  They make decisions based on how they feel at the moment with no regard to consequence.  There may be issues with self-control, temperament, or personal discipline and when things go wrong they often blame others or circumstance.  We can do anything we like and if we don’t care about others we can make choices based simply on our personal desires.  Whether we acknowledge it or not we are accountable and must pay for every choice we make.  We can make excuses and blame others but in the end we own our decisions.  If we are selfish we may lose connections with others, if we are insensitive we may lose relationships with those we care about and if we are careless we may hurt those around us and ourselves in the end.  Like a pebble dropped in a pond, every decision we make may have many ramifications.  Remembering those possibilities will help us make the best decisions possible and prevent problems as we move forward.

Even when we’re careful and plan wisely sometimes things go wrong.  When they do if we’ve been wise in our decisions we will find the way through.  There are always lots of factors we can’t control and there may be situations of which we are unaware.  When problems develop we have all the courage and wisdom we need to find the answers and re-direct our way forward.  We can see all the options available to us and choose the best road ahead.  There isn’t any complication too complex for us to manage and we will find success.

Today if you’ve made a mistake in judgment and the consequences are difficult to manage, look ahead and find the best way forward.  You know where you want to go.  Choose wisely and move ahead with confidence.  You are strong and smart, and there isn’t anything you can’t do and succeed.  Keep moving.  The best is yet to come.

Indelible Ink

31 May

When we’re working on a project with ink pens sometimes we might slip and get a mark on our clothing.  If the ink is permanent and indelible we may be stuck with the mark forever.  We could scrub and scrub and try every possible cleaner but if the ink is permanent it will remain.  It’s frustrating to get a mark on something we can’t remove and when it happens each time we see it we will be reminded of when it happened.  We might think of our lives that way.  We make choices and it’s easy to believe the results of our choices are permanent.  While some decisions may bring lasting consequences no matter what has happened often there is a way to modify the outcome.  Life is unpredictable but the one thing we can always count on is everything will change.  Even if we try hard to make the best decisions, there may be times when because of circumstance or unknown factors we may choose something that takes us somewhere we don’t want to go.  It doesn’t mean we are doomed to stay there.  We can evaluate where we are at any time and change any situation we don’t want.  No mistake has the power to hold us forever.  There is no indelible ink involved.  We can change direction, correct any errors, resolve any problems and move forward.  The road to success is never a straight upward line.  We travel here and there as we find our way and when we hit a snag or choose the wrong door we can back up and turn again.  There isn’t anything we can’t change and we can reach any destination we choose by continuing forward with confidence.

Guilt is a self-imposed emotion.  Nobody can make us feel guilty.  Although they may say or do things that trigger that response we decide whether we hold onto it or not.  It does nothing to help us move forward and it can’t correct any problems we are facing.  Sometimes we will err and when we do we can look at the situation openly and then determine the best way forward.  Regret is a common response to a bad choice but it need not stop us from continuing on.  We have the ability to make excellent decisions and we can correct any mistake we’ve made and move forward toward success.

There may be times when a situation arises where a decision has disastrous consequences.  We don’t always have all the facts and sometimes things go awry.  If we’re facing a difficult situation that is hard to unravel we may feel we’ve ruined our lives and there is no way out.  But life is constantly changing and nothing stays the same forever.  If we step back and see the problem objectively we will find a way through and be able to begin the process of rebuilding.  We can be confident in choosing wisely and we will find success.

Today if you’re facing a mess and feel lost trying to find your way through, you have everything you need to overcome anything before you.  You are wise enough to make excellent decisions and correct your course.  There is nothing you can’t resolve and no problem too great for you to manage.  You are strong and capable.  Do what is needed to move forward and be confident.  You have everything you need to succeed.
