Real Intent

24 Aug

As we go through our lives we’ll do many different things. Our experiences are unique to each of us, but no matter who we are, we’ll accomplish many different goals and go through countless different scenarios. When we want to do something, success will depend on how sincerely we want to succeed. If we’re thinking about something, and decide it might be nice to have, we may try to achieve it. However, if we aren’t determined to succeed, when the first challenge appears, we may simply let it go and walk away. We can do anything and go anywhere, but we’ll never accomplish anything without real intent. We must want to succeed no matter what comes, what goes wrong, how many challenges we must face, or how hard the road gets. If we only kind of want it, chances are we’ll only kind of succeed. Having real intent is imperative to achieving the things we desire most. If we doubt ourselves, the road will be much harder than if we believe we can prevail and press forward with confidence. Nobody can read the future and there is no way to know what will happen until it does. Life is full of surprises, twists and turns, and sometimes everything goes haywire and upside down. We can’t control what comes but we have complete control over how we manage it. We are intelligent and powerful, and nothing is strong enough to hold us in place. Every single dream is possible and with courage, faith and determination, we can have the lives we dream about.

It would be great if those around us supported all the decisions we made or the things we wanted to accomplish. Although agreement is nice, we don’t need it to do anything we desire. We don’t have to swim downstream with everyone else, or follow along. Our lives are ours to design and we can create them any way we like. We are a blessing to the world and have incredible gifts to offer. How we express them, where we go and what we do, is up to us. Nothing is out of reach, and we can do anything we desire.

We may have a bad experience that makes us lose faith in our ability to accomplish the things we want the most. Maybe we’ve experience failure, or a serious disappointment that has convinced us we’ll never succeed. Failure is hard to endure, but it teaches us what doesn’t work and helps us better understand the world around us. If we learn everything possible from each experience, and are determined to move forward, we’ll be enriched and strengthened as we push ahead. We are stronger and wiser than we imagine, and nothing is beyond our reach.

Today if you’ve been toying with an idea you think you want to pursue, decide what you really want and step forward. Be confident and determined to win. You are amazing and highly capable, and nothing is too difficult for you to manage. Step forward with determination and real intent. Success is there for you and you will reach it.

Paying the Bill

5 Jun

There is an old saying that there is no such thing as a free lunch, meaning no matter what we do or what we seek there will always be a price to pay.  Everything we do has a consequence.  We are not isolated living on a desert island alone and every choice we make, everything we say, and every action we take will have a result that may impact others.  We are accountable for everything we do and if we create stress or problems we will have to correct the situation.  If we are wise and careful in all our dealings our balance sheet may be easier to manage than if we simply do anything we like without regard to what may happen afterward.  We know how to make excellent decisions and for the most part try to do our best, but complications come to us all and sometimes the way forward is cloudy and hard to decipher.  When that happens we make the best decisions with what we have and if things go awry we can do what is needed to turn things around.  Being accountable for our actions is not optional and is required in everything we do.  We can make positive decisions and plan our choices carefully so they bring us the results we are seeking.  We can pay our bills as we go and move forward with confidence taking all we’ve learned along with us.

Some people are careless and thoughtless.  They make decisions based on how they feel at the moment with no regard to consequence.  There may be issues with self-control, temperament, or personal discipline and when things go wrong they often blame others or circumstance.  We can do anything we like and if we don’t care about others we can make choices based simply on our personal desires.  Whether we acknowledge it or not we are accountable and must pay for every choice we make.  We can make excuses and blame others but in the end we own our decisions.  If we are selfish we may lose connections with others, if we are insensitive we may lose relationships with those we care about and if we are careless we may hurt those around us and ourselves in the end.  Like a pebble dropped in a pond, every decision we make may have many ramifications.  Remembering those possibilities will help us make the best decisions possible and prevent problems as we move forward.

Even when we’re careful and plan wisely sometimes things go wrong.  When they do if we’ve been wise in our decisions we will find the way through.  There are always lots of factors we can’t control and there may be situations of which we are unaware.  When problems develop we have all the courage and wisdom we need to find the answers and re-direct our way forward.  We can see all the options available to us and choose the best road ahead.  There isn’t any complication too complex for us to manage and we will find success.

Today if you’ve made a mistake in judgment and the consequences are difficult to manage, look ahead and find the best way forward.  You know where you want to go.  Choose wisely and move ahead with confidence.  You are strong and smart, and there isn’t anything you can’t do and succeed.  Keep moving.  The best is yet to come.
