Not Real

Everyone has an idea of how they want their lives to go and what they want to do. There are endless opportunities and we can do anything we want. We know we’re in charge of our direction and what we accomplish, but life is complicated. We have commitments to jobs, to family, to associates and others, and although we’re in control of our lives, sometimes what we want to do takes a back seat to what we feel we must do. As we try to accomplish everything, we may ignore some unsettled issues from the past. Problems we haven’t solved and don’t want to face may pull on us, niggling us they are still there. We’re busy and it’s inconvenient to stop what we’re doing to take care of something from before. Instead, we might just push it behind us, shut the door on it, and hope it will disappear on its own, but that never happens. Truth is truth and will not be denied. Refusing to look at something and pretending it’s not real will never alter our reality. We carry every unresolved issue forward until we finally decide to turn around and face it. Dragging old problems behind us is exhausting and eats into our happiness. It doesn’t matter how difficult or painful the issue is, we have everything we need to see it openly and take care of it. There is always enough time to address any issue that’s holding us back, solve it, and move forward unencumbered. Our happiness is important and doing what is needed to ensure we make the most of it will help us achieve every goal we desire. When we’re ready we can move forward with confidence and clarity, and find great success.

It would be great if each day everything worked out and nobody got in our way. We could move ahead easily and without problems or delays. Unfortunately, life doesn’t usually work that way. Most of the time there will be things we don’t want to endure, issues we don’t want to face, and frustrations that hang us up. We can focus on all the problems and complications, but in the midst of each challenge there will be things going right. We can manage whatever is before us and focus on what we’re learning as we solve each issue. Our lives belong to us, and we can handle them with excellence and certainty.

Nobody wants to suffer but we don’t live in Nirvana, and suffering is part of the game. People may hurt us, our plans may fall apart, lovers may leave, and we may be left standing alone. If the pain is great, we might pretend the issue isn’t happening. We may convince ourselves if we don’t look at it, it isn’t real. Burying our heads in the sand will never help us move forward. What is real exists whether we want it or not. It’s best to accept whatever has happened, solve any issues we must, and take everything we’ve learned forward with us. We are intelligent and strong, and nothing can hold us down indefinitely. Every dream is there for us, and we will succeed.

Today if you’re ignoring a painful issue that’s holding you in place, open all the doors and find the answers you need to move forward. You are amazing, and a blessing to us all. Be confident. You can do anything. Nothing can stop you from realizing your dreams.  Every success is there for you and you will prevail.

What We Can’t See

Life is full of surprises and unexpected developments. We never know what will happen next, and may be astonished by what comes our way. We move forward toward the goals we want to accomplish, and we hope things will go well and there won’t be any hang-ups. Sometimes, we may get to the destination unscathed and happy. But other times things go awry, stuff gets in the way, and we have to back track or even stop for a time. It’s frustrating and if it happens frequently, we may start to doubt our ability to succeed. We may begin to think we’re doomed, that what we can’t see will be disastrous, and every possible complication will happen to keep us from success. We can’t see the end of the road from the beginning and there is no way to know what’s around the next bend. Just because we can’t see what lies ahead, doesn’t mean it’s going to be awful. It may just be wonderful. Some surprises pave the road for us, and benefit us in amazing ways. Not every unknown is bad. The past never predicts the future, and just because things didn’t work out for us in the past doesn’t mean they won’t work out for us ahead. When we’ve had a long run of problems and it seems there is no end of trouble, we may think there’s a stationary black cloud over us and there’s no way to win. Nothing in life is permanent and change is constant. Whatever is happening now is going to change. We can trust that we’ll find our way and the road ahead will clear. Every option is available to us and we have everything we need to go anywhere we desire. We can be confident we’ll prevail and look ahead toward success.

Sometimes it seems like life goes in cycles. Everything moves along fine for a while, and then, bam, it all falls apart and we must face a period of struggle. We only have control over our own decisions, and there are countless others all around us making choices that may impact our plans and keep us from moving forward. We don’t know what we don’t know, and may suddenly face a huge roadblock that holds us in place. It’s not comfortable to stand still when we want to move, but we are intelligent and capable, and can find a way through. Nothing is strong enough to hold us down indefinitely, and no matter what complications arise, we will prevail.

It’s easy to be happy when our plans are working out and we’re moving ahead without any resistance. However, those moments are few and far between. Many times, there will be some push back and problems along the way. There are endless roads to travel, but few of them are smooth and paved. We may have to travel over rocks and ditches, and stumble across endless diversions. Our goals and dreams are important, and if we want them, we can find a way to get them. Nothing is out of reach if we are determined and focused. We already possess everything we need to create the lives we dream about and nothing can keep us from success.

Today of you’re struggling to get ahead, and it seems the problems are endless, hang on. The very next turn may take you straight to your goal. There are blessings waiting for you on the road ahead. You can’t see them yet, but every success is there for you. Be strong and keep going. Every dream is possible, and you will reach them all.

Change of Heart

We’re all in control of our lives and decide at every moment what we’ll do next. We know ourselves better than anyone else, and we know what we want the most. However, life has its own momentum and if we don’t decide how we’ll spend our time, the situations we’re in may decide for us. It’s easy to become complacent when we get used to what’s going on. Change takes attention and effort, and when we’re busy taking care of business, we may simply keep going and ignore our personal discomfort. Even if we’re not happy we may decide it’s good enough and just deal with it. We may continue to stay in a job we don’t like because it’s easier than looking for what we really want. We might stay in a relationship that isn’t working because we don’t want to be alone and just cope with the disappointment. Perhaps we keep repeating a behavior we know is hurting us but haven’t yet been able to muster the courage and attention we need to stop. Or any of a thousand different scenarios. Our lives are ours to design and we can do anything we like, but our happiness is important. Our dreams are important and we can change anything at any time that will move us closer to them. We can decide what we really want in our lives, and then take the first step toward making it ours. All we need to begin is a change of heart. By determining that our personal happiness is critical to our well-being, we can identify what is keeping us from it. We can make the changes necessary to move us toward the destinations we most desire, and reach complete happiness. Everything is possible and there isn’t anything we can’t do. Our lives belong to us, and with focus and determination, we can have the lives we desire the most.

The world is filled with opportunities and we can do anything we want. We can change anything that’s holding us in place – our location, our jobs, those we associate with, what we’re doing, or what needs to be done. We control our own destinies and can never be held is place when we’re ready to move. There is no need for us to get permission, and we don’t need approval for any decision we choose. All we need is to decide what we want, and then step forward to accomplish it.

Life isn’t always easy and the life we want won’t simply arrive because we desire it. If we don’t make a plan and decide where we want to go, someone else will make it for us. Nobody knows us better than we know ourselves, and no one else can possibly know what we want the most. We can take charge of our decisions, and decide our next steps. Every dream is possible if we’re willing to do what is needed to make it ours. If we’re determined and focused, we can step forward and make them all come true.

Today if you’ve been dreaming about how you want your life to go but are still in the same place, decide what you want the most and take the first step forward. You are more powerful and capable than you realize, and can accomplish anything you desire. Be confident and sure. Every dream is possible, and you will make them yours.

Tights and a Cape

Life is filled with challenges and opportunities that teach us new things and give us more information about the road ahead. Sometimes things roll along with little trouble, and other times it seems like everything that can go wrong is going wrong. Nobody gets a free pass on problems. They come to all of us, and when they do, we must find our way through them. We may wish for a life of ease where every day is like a holiday, but if we actually had lives like that, we would learn nothing about ourselves or the world around us. Thankfully, wishes aren’t reality, and we’re going to struggle from time to time. When we’re in the midst of trouble and feel overwhelmed, the answers we need will be there but they may not be obvious. Some answers require us to dig deep and search for them. During times like those it would be terrific if Superman was real, and could show up and just solve everything for us. Unfortunately, if we want tights and a cape to save us, we’ll have to provide them ourselves. We might have to search diligently, and ask for help to find our way through, but we are smart and perfectly capable of managing any issue that’s complicating our lives. Things will go wrong, we will stumble, our plans may disintegrate, and we might find ourselves somewhere we never wanted to go. But we are creative and wise, and there isn’t anything that can hold us down indefinitely. The answers will be there for us and with patience and determination, we will find them. We are capable of incredible success, and nothing is strong enough to keep us from it. Every problem can be solved, and we have everything we need to prevail.

When we’re struggling with something difficult, we may reach out to those around us for help and support. Everyone has different experiences and if we’re facing something new, chances are there will be someone who has already traveled that road, or who can point us in the right direction. If we’re very independent, we may choose to find the answers on our own. We can always do that, but it may take more time and effort than if we reach out for help. Asking for help doesn’t mean we’re weak or can’t do things on our own. We all have a different collection of skills. We can get advice from someone who knows the way forward until we gain our own expertise.

When we’re facing a hard challenge, there may be some who’ll tell us we’ll never prevail and we should just give up and forget it. We can take any advice we like, but we are stronger and more powerful than we think we are. There really isn’t anything we can’t manage. By confidently stepping forward even when we’re unsure, we can open the doors ahead and find our way to success. Life is full of opportunities and we have all the courage and wisdom we need to reach any destination we desire.

Today if you’re facing a difficult challenge and are unsure about how to proceed, trust yourself. You’ve already overcome many difficult problems and you have everything you need to solve any complication. You are intelligent and wise, and nothing is too hard for you to manage. Look forward and step ahead with confidence. Success is there, waiting for you to arrive, and you will reach it.

Phony Baloney

There are all kinds of people in the world. We get to know them as we spend time with them and they reveal more of who they are and where they’re headed. Our lives are often enriched by the differences we encounter, even when those differences are hard for us to comprehend. When we’re honest about who we are others respect us, even if they don’t agree with us. It’s easy to be genuine and express our true feelings when those around us are similar and we fit the current model. But there is unending variety in the world, and if we’re in a group where we’re very different than the customary norm, we may be hesitant to show our true colors. We might even pretend we’re something we’re not as a way of gaining approval. We can do anything we like, but if we profess to be different than what is real, we may dig ourselves into a deep hole as we try to keep the facade believable. Being accepted may seem like a good goal, but achieving it through misrepresentation may backfire in the end. It’s exhausting to try and maintain deception indefinitely, and impossible to keep it going forever. The truth will come out in time, and when it does, if we’ve been dishonest, what we’ve done will impact the trust others have for us. We don’t have to fit anyone else’s idea of what is acceptable. Our unique contribution, no mater how different it may be, is valuable and worthwhile. If others require us to conform to their views in order to be part of the group, we can walk away. Nothing is more important than our own personal honesty. No one else in the entire world can offer the gifts we have to share. We can be confident in who we are, and find great success.

Some people struggle with confidence, and in an effort to make things easier will simply go along with whatever those around them are doing. It’s a lot easier to ride along in the back seat than to take the wheel and choose the way forward. We can always coast and let others make choices for us. It’s easy to get along when we agree with everything that’s being said and done. But if we only do what everyone else decides, we will never be able to express our true desires or get the life we want the most. Nobody knows us better than we know ourselves. We have everything we need to make excellent choices, and all our dreams are possible.

We only get one chance to live our lives. Time flies by on wings of lightening and each day is priceless. What we do with our time, and the choices we make determine the life we get. We are important and can do anything we desire. We can express our true feelings in every situation and honestly face whatever may come. There is no need for phony baloney. We are powerful and capable, and every destination is there for us.  We can trust ourselves to choose wisely, and accomplish any goal we want. We are amazing, and a true gift to the world.

Today if you’ve been pretending to be something you aren’t in an effort to be accepted, remember you are unique and priceless. There isn’t anyone else exactly like you in all of creation. Be yourself and show us who you are. You are a gift to us all, and the whole world is blessed because you are here.
