Leading On

There are many kinds of leaders in the world. There are kings and magistrates, presidents and ambassadors, and different influential and powerful individuals. The world is filled with billions of people and when there are righteous, honest, valiant leaders to help them, much good can be accomplished. In our personal lives there are people around us who can teach us things and show us the way when we’re confused or lost. They may not be formal leaders but they are available when we need help finding the way forward. While we depend on them at one time or another, we are all leaders in our own way. We all have gifts to share but we can only lead as far as we’ve gone. We can’t share what we don’t possess, and there is no way to teach someone something we don’t know. Before we can have influence and share our knowledge, we have to gain it. Everything we do teaches us something and if we expand our reach and step beyond where we are, we learn more and gain greater skills and insight. Knowledge brings confidence and helps us move ahead with clarity and power. When we share that knowledge with others and push forward toward a goal, there is nothing that can keep us from success. We may not think of ourselves as leaders, but everything we do changes the world in some way. By sharing what we know we can expand our influence and reach every goal we set.

If we want to lead those around us, we must be willing to step forward into the unknown and forge the way ahead. What we know is comfortable and predictable but can never afford great change or growth to enter our lives. If we stay within our comfort zones, we may have an easier time but we won’t experience the thrill of knowing what we can accomplish. We are capable of amazing experiences if we allow ourselves to step beyond where we are. A new road will take us to new destinations that will enrich us and broaden our understanding of life. Once we embrace the road ahead, we can show others the way forward and reach any destination we desire.

Everything we do is visible and open to those around us. We are setting an example with each choice we make. If we live true to the standards we’ve set for ourselves, our integrity and honesty will impact those around us and may affect the decisions they make. They will learn to trust us and rely on our judgement and wisdom. We can change the world by choosing to be valiant and true in every decision. There is greatness inside us and we can make good, strong choices that guide our lives and lead others toward excellence.

Today if you want more experiences in your life, step away from what you know and try something new. Choose a new path that will take you somewhere different. Make the unfamiliar yours and then share it with those around you. Take control and show others the way. Life is filled with experiences that will enhance and delight you. Do everything you dream and be the person you most want to be. The whole world is there waiting and everything is possible.

Steering the Ship

Sometimes life takes us to places we don’t want to go.  When we’re struggling we may question how we ended up here.  How did we get to this place that doesn’t fit or move us forward?  We can’t read the future and it’s not always easy to see where a path will take us.  It takes time to consider all possible eventualities but if we don’t rush and think carefully before choosing we’ll have a better chance of ending up where we want to go.  Odds are no matter where we are it’s exactly where we were headed.  Every road has a destination and will take us there every time.  But it’s not the end of the journey.  If we’re unhappy we can move on to someplace that feels better and fits us more perfectly.  We’re always in control of our lives and can go anywhere we want but we have to decide where that is and then do what is necessary to get there.  We can design our lives any way we like but we must take control.  A ship at sea without a rudder and someone turning the wheel to direct it forward will simply flow wherever the water takes it.  Our lives are the same way.  If we don’t control our decisions and choose our paths, life will choose them for us.  We can decide what we want and then steer our ship in the direction we want to go.  There isn’t anything we can’t do and every destination is available but we must take control and move forward toward success.  It’s all up to us.  The world will do what it will and we can follow along but taking charge of what we’re doing will bring us satisfaction and fulfillment.  We know what we want.  With persistence and determination we can achieve anything and reach any shore we desire.

There are always all kinds of unknown variables that may come into play in every decision we make.  Because we never know what’s around the next corner or who will enter the picture, learning to be flexible is an asset that will help us succeed.  There are many ways to accomplish any task.  We can keep our eyes focused forward, make changes as needed, and get to the goal.  We have everything we need to reach any destination.  We can bend when we need to and find our way.

Some people are very self-directed and forceful.  They place great value on their ideas and may be very convincing.  We can follow anyone at any time and simply go wherever they’re headed.  It’s easy to acquiesce and do what we’re told but nobody knows us better than we know ourselves.  What’s best for one doesn’t mean it’s best for all.  Our personal choices are valuable and worthwhile and we can have any kind of life we choose.  We can take our own roads and reach the places we want the most.  Our lives belong to us and we can make our dreams come true.

Today if you’ve been letting others steer your ship and just following along, remember how valuable you are.  You can do anything you want.  Decide where you want to go and step forward.  Be confident and trust yourself.  You have everything you need to prevail and nothing is out of reach.  All your dreams are possible and with determination you will make them come true.

Doubt

When we’re children we might imagine being a grown up as a great adventure filled with all sorts of freedom and privileges. As we age and mature, we begin to understand how life works and each day teaches us something new. As we navigate all the ins and outs of each situation, we gain skills that help us move forward toward the successes we desire. We learn valuable lessons and gain confidence as we make good, strong decisions and find our way. Sometimes things go well and other times things go wrong and we struggle to figure out our next steps. If we’ve had to face many difficulties or have suffered a serious failure, we may doubt we can live well and find happiness. We may believe we’ll never find our footing or the right road ahead, and that we’re doomed to a life filled with stress and despair. While it’s true we can’t control most of what happens, we are always in control of our decisions and outlook. If we’re convinced we will fail, no matter what we do, the chances of success are diminished. We can create our own self-fulfilling prophecy. There is always the chance we’ll falter in any situation, but there is also always the chance we will prevail. Doubt is only a feeling of uncertainty and we can acknowledge it and then set it aside and trust ourselves to get through. We can push forward with determination, and any failure we may experience will be diminished by our personal self-confidence. Everyone has doubt from time to time but we need not give it power over our decisions. We can do anything we desire and nothing can hold us in place. Every goal is possible and with confidence and certainty we can achieve anything.

There is no way to guess what life will bring us. Change is constant and no matter what we’re experiencing today, chances are it will be different tomorrow. We may face situations so daunting we don’t feel we can manage them. They seem too hard to look at and we may feel sure we can’t survive. But deep within we have incredible resources of strength and courage, and regardless of what comes have everything we need to endure and overcome. We are stronger and more resilient than we may realize and can do whatever is necessary to manage anything that comes.

Sometimes we may choose to do something that others around us doubt we can achieve. They may try to dissuade us from the journey, telling us it’s too hard, too long or not worth the effort. We can always listen to any advice we like, but our choices are ours to make and approval isn’t necessary. We can design our lives and create them any way we like. We can do anything we desire and push ourselves toward any goal. We have everything we need to be successful and can reach any destination with confidence and clarity.

Today if you’re facing a difficult situation and aren’t sure you can manage it, remember how strong you are and trust yourself to find the answers. You already have everything you need to succeed. Pull courage from within and stand strong. Every goal is possible and nothing is too difficult. Be confident and step forward. All the doors will open and you will succeed.

The Last Step

Life takes us down many roads and to countless destinations. Every decision we make takes us somewhere and if we’re wise, we’ll make choices that take us to the places we desire most. But life can get complicated and we’re often busy with details and responsibilities. In the confusion and noise persisting around us, if we’re rushed or distracted, we might make a choice that turns out to be something we never wanted and takes us to a place we don’t like. It’s important to remember that each time we choose the first step on a path we are also choosing the last. It’s unlikely we’ll be able to change the destination of any road and we’ll inevitably end up where it’s headed. As we’re making choices in our personal lives, we can’t always see the end from the beginning. There will always be unknown factors and influences that may convolute our path. Although we can’t know everything that may happen, if we take the time to review the possibilities we can see before we choose, we have a better chance of getting the results we’re hoping for. Life is filled with unknowns but we are wise enough to evaluate all the options before us and make the best choices moving forward. The path may twist and we may have a blind curve or two, but we can be confident of success by evaluating each situation and choosing the best way forward. There are unlimited possibilities available to us. We can make excellent choices and get to all the destinations we desire the most.

It’s easy to walk on a paved, lighted road that’s clear and has all the signs we need to point the way forward. When everything is planned for us and the road ahead is open and leads exactly where we want it to go, we can quickly and easily achieve our goal.
But our lives don’t often work that way. We may be unclear about which way to go, unsure if we can manage the task, and worried about the complications that may arise. There is no way to read the future and we must trust ourselves to make the best choice possible before we begin. No matter what road we choose, if the destination is important, we will overcome anything in our way. We have everything we need to succeed and with determination will reach the goal.

Nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes from time to time. If we’ve made a  mistake in judgement and have taken a road to somewhere we don’t want to go we can stop and redirect the way forward. Nothing is permanent and we can alter our direction at any time. A mistake is inconsequential once we correct our course and we can move forward with confidence that we’ll succeed. Every dream is possible and with wisdom we can make decisions that will bring us the lives we desire most.

Today if you realize you’re on the wrong road and the destination ahead isn’t what you’re seeking, step to the side and consider all your options. Change direction until you’re facing the goals you desire and then step forward. You are amazing and powerful, and everything is possible. Choose the best road ahead and make all your dreams come true.

Making it Real

There are unlimited things we can accomplish as we go through our lives. Every option is possible and deciding what we want to do is the first step toward achieving it. However, simply defining what we want doesn’t change anything in our lives. Setting a goal doesn’t suddenly create it for us. If we want the change, whatever it is, we’ll have to modify our lives in some way to make it happen. Continuing to do the same things the same way will only allow us to maintain the same lives we’re living now. We can dream about the goals we have in mind and think about them for as long as we like. We can plan and ponder and consider everything necessary to move toward them but until we actually begin to redesign our efforts to accommodate what is required to gain them, nothing will change. Our dreams are reachable and we can make them come true. We can gain every attribute we desire if we’re willing to invest what is necessary to make them real. Nothing is out of reach. We are powerful and capable, and can decide what we want and then change our lives to move us toward success. The lives we dream about are possible. We need only focus and step forward with determination, and the willingness to face any obstacle before us and move past it. There isn’t anything that can hold us in place. We are strong enough to achieve whatever we desire and wise enough to find our way to any goal. The whole world is there for us and we can accomplish anything.

Complications are a normal part of life. No matter what we’re doing or where we’re going chances are some problem will arise that makes moving forward difficult or some obstacle will stand in our way to prevent us from pushing through. A setback isn’t the end of the road but a signal that points us in a new direction. There are countless roads to every destination and if the road we’re on gets blocked we can turn our course and continue forward on a different path.

It’s impossible to see the future and sometimes the goals we set take longer than we planned or turn out to be more difficult than we imagined. We’re in control of our lives and can let go of any objective at any time. We can change our plans but if the goal is still important it doesn’t matter how long it takes or how hard it is to push ahead. Success is always possible and we can accomplish anything we truly desire. We can hold fast to the road ahead and continue forward through anything and find our way. We have unlimited potential and by exercising faith and diligence, can reach any goal we choose and have the lives we want.

Today if you’re thinking about something you want to achieve, plan your way forward and take the first step toward the goal. Be confident and start the journey. You can accomplish anything you desire. You are strong and capable, and will find your way forward. Every dream is possible and with determination and patience you can make them come true. The life you desire most is waiting for you. Step forward and claim it.
