Not Working

9 May

As we strive to achieve our goals, we may try many different methods and ideas until we’re able to push forward. Although we know where we want to go and what we want to do, the way to get there isn’t always clear. We may spend considerable time reviewing options and trying different things until we find one that works and moves us ahead. If we keep our minds open and look at ideas we never thought possible, it will be easier to get to an open road. However, if we’ve decided we already know the best way forward, we may refuse to consider any other suggestion. That might work out and we might find success. Everything may go exactly as planned, or we may get stalled and unable to move. If we’re determined to make our way work, we may keep pushing and pushing, and hoping that eventually we will prevail. There are endless roads to every destination, and if we stay on one that isn’t moving, we won’t reach the goal. Making the same wrong turn over and over won’t get us on the right path. It’s good to be confident in our decisions, but if they aren’t working out, we can modify them and try something else. Changing direction doesn’t mean we’ve failed. We gain more information as we move forward and sometimes what was clear at the beginning may become cloudy and obstructed. By remaining flexible and open to new ideas and suggestions, we can revise our plans when needed, and turn our course toward success. There isn’t anything we can’t do. We are smart enough and strong enough to find every road and every destination. If we keep our eyes open and listen carefully, we’ll find success.

Life is filled with uncertainty and sometimes things go awry because of circumstances of which we were unaware or that are out of our control. Our personal confidence will help us overcome complications and detours that may arise, and help us move forward. It’s good to have confidence and trust ourselves but it’s important to remember we can never know everything about every situation. Things may change, and continuing on the same road when it’s going nowhere will keep us from success. Being flexible and making adjustments to help us move forward will ensure we reach the goal.

Nothing is permanent in life. Everything is constantly changing and sometimes those changes get in the way of what we’re trying to do. Something blocking our path isn’t a sign that our goal cannot be achieved, but a signal to re-evaluate the way forward. It’s a good time to stop, look around at all the possibilities, and decide on the best direction moving ahead. We know what we want, and we are wise enough to find the way forward to get it.

Today if you’re sure the road you’re on is the best choice but you’re unable to advance and can’t move forward, re-evaluate your plans. Be open to every option possible and adjust your direction. You are intelligent and capable, and nothing is too difficult for you to manage. Revise your plans and move forward. You will find the way ahead, and reach success.

Middle Road

1 May

No two people are exactly alike. We may have friends who share similar interests and agree with us on lots of things, but we’re all unique in many ways and there will always be differences. Sometimes those differences are insignificant and we can overlook them, but other times they may be extreme and difficult to ignore. If we’re diametrically opposed to someone else’s idea or opinion, it may cause disagreements and conflict as we try to interact with them. Some people are intensely convinced their viewpoints are the best and don’t like being questioned. They’re committed to their opinions and don’t respond well when others disagree. They prefer unwavering loyalty and want others to follow along. It may be easier to remain quiet when we disagree with those who have strong opinions, but our ideas are just as important as anyone else’s. We never have to go along to get along, and can certainly express our own thoughts at any time. We can be polite and gracious to the opposing viewpoint, and still hold fast to our own beliefs. There is always a possible compromise no matter how far apart our ideas may be. If we’re willing to bend a little, and meet in the middle, we can allow everyone to have a voice, even if our views are completely different. We all want to be heard, and deserve to have our ideas honored and respected. We can listen to other interpretations, even if we don’t agree, and find a way to work together. There is no one, perfect way to live and every road offers something of value. We can be open to new ways of thinking, and share the journey with those who are different. Life is all about learning and with each experience we gain something of value to carry forward.

When we’re sure of ourselves and believe our ideas are best, it may be hard to comprehend how anyone could disagree. Although we’re happy on the path we’ve chosen, that doesn’t mean there aren’t other roads that will take us to success. We can listen to other ideas and find a compromise that allows everyone to participate. By turning a little to the left or right, we can work together to reach any destination.

If we’re convinced there is only one way forward, we may demand that others comply with our wishes. Digging in our heels and refusing to budge will never move us forward. It’s impossible to advance when we’re standing still arguing over how to proceed. Few people will be convinced to follow along if they are forced to agree. It’s far better to use our positive influence to express our views and then listen to other opinions. The best answers are always available and by being open to hearing all options possible, we will find them.

Today if you’re sure you know the best way forward, express your opinion to those around you and ask for their input. Be open to other ideas and listen carefully. All options are possible and hearing every opinion will open new doors. Find answers that include everyone and move forward with confidence. You are incredible and capable. Nothing is beyond your reach. Every destination is possible and together, you will reach it.

Half the Equation

26 Apr

We live in the world with billions of other people. Of course, we won’t ever meet them all but we’ll generally have many people coming and going out of our lives all the time. As we work with them or affiliate with them in any way, they may ask us to do things for them. Most people want to be helpful and will often do as they are asked. It’s fine if we get all the information we need and can accomplish what they’ve requested but sometimes we may be in position where we don’t have everything necessary to effectively do what we’ve agreed to. Maybe we didn’t receive all the facts to answer any questions that come up, or the situation changes while we’re in the middle of it and nobody informs us. We don’t know what we don’t know and if we aren’t told about key changes, we can’t possibly choose the best way forward. It’s very uncomfortable to try to manage something over which we have no control and it only gets worse if we can’t reach those who can shed light on the issue. If we can’t let go of the responsibility or return it to those in charge, we may be stuck holding the bag. If we can’t get out from under it, we’ll have to manage things the best we can. We can stand firm, and explain the situation to those who are negatively affected by it until we can address the issue and correct it. We are capable and can be confident that no matter what happens we will choose the best options possible. Problems arise, and complications are a continual issue. We can manage everything with confidence and grace, and find our way through.

Some people rush through their lives, always in a hurry, and moving on to the next thing. It’s hard to get all the information and facts correct if we rush over them and don’t take the time needed to make sure we understand all the facts. If we have to guess, we might get it right sometimes, but often we may miss out on important facets that will help us through. We are always in control of our lives and if a situation isn’t clear, we can ask for more information until we understand exactly what is needed.

Some issues are complicated and complex. In order to resolve them, we must get as many facts as possible so we have a clear picture of what’s going on. Getting half the information we need will never help us succeed. If we can’t get the answers necessary, we may feel frustrated and miserable trying to plow through. It’s a waste of time to try to solve anything without all the facts. We can set the problem aside and wait until we have more information and then start again and resolve it. We are intelligent and capable, and we know what we need to succeed.

Today if you been tasked with resolving an issue but you don’t have all the information you need or the tools necessary to complete it, step back and look at all the possibilities before you. If you cannot solve the problem at this time, set it aside until you get what you need to be successful. Waiting for clarity doesn’t mean giving up. When you get everything necessary to resolve the issue you can move forward. You know how to be successful and nothing is too confusing or difficult for you to manage. Every success is possible and you will prevail.

Waking Up

25 Apr

It’s amazing when springtime rolls around and we see all the plants and trees start to shed their winter drab and put on their new buds and blooms. The leaves begin to form on the trees and there are endless shades of green all around us. The early flowers pop through the ground and display their amazing blossoms and incredible perfume. Winter is a beautiful season, but when it’s over it’s exciting to see everything waking up again. There is a newness everywhere and we feel the great promise of the coming summer. Our lives ebb and flow like the natural seasons. Sometimes we feel awake and engaged, and other times we may feel bogged down with routine and boredom. No matter what’s going on around us, we decide what we’ll do and where we’ll go. We never have to stand still if we want to move, and every destination is open and waiting for us to arrive. If we feel stuck, we can choose a new goal and start moving toward it. If we’re bored, we can turn and go in a new direction, meeting new people and learning about new places. Living each day to the fullest, wide awake and aware of everything around us will enrich us and deepen our understanding of the world and our place in it. There are endless possibilities always available. Like the spring buds popping open around us, we can be open to new experiences and challenges. It’s easy to get stuck in a routine doing the same things over and over, and forget all the opportunities around us. If we stay on the same road every single day, we may miss countless new experiences and the chance to share our lives with others. We can manage our responsibilities and take care of our obligations, and still expand our horizons. The world is a huge place with billions of people, all of whom have something different to offer. We can reach out to them, step away from what we know and try something new. Every destination is possible and nothing is out of reach.

There is security in keeping our lives small and never extending ourselves beyond where we are. We may feel safe knowing how things will go every day and what to expect. But if we step beyond the common roads we’ve been traveling we may find incredible adventures we never dreamed possible. By stretching further into foreign territory, our imagination will be awakened and we will be delighted by each new experience. We can open our eyes to everything that’s possible and learn new things, meet new people, and find great fulfillment.

Today if you’ve been going along following the same road again and again, step out and see what life brings you. There are incredible blessings waiting for you if you will embrace them and try something new. Decide to live your life wide awake and aware of every possibility. There isn’t anything you can’t do. You are incredible and amazing. The whole world is there for you. Reach further, stretch beyond where you are, and claim it.

Waiting for Luck

10 Apr

We’re always in control of our lives. We decide what we’ll do, where we’ll go, with whom we’ll associate and how we’ll live. Every decision we make defines who we are. We can make excellent decisions and each time we choose we determine the road ahead. When we know what we want and the options are clear, it’s easy to choose but sometimes the waters are muddy and seeing exactly where the choice will take us isn’t obvious. Not every decision is easy and sometimes we may have no idea what we should do. We may hesitate, or if we’re completely lost, just wait around and hope somehow, we’ll get lucky and it’ll work out by itself. Waiting for luck to save us rarely works. We must decide. Some decisions can be pushed aside and might even eventually fade away on their own, but that’s unusual. If we’re stuck and unsure, we can review everything and choose the best option possible. It might work out the way we want it to, or it might go awry, but whatever happens, we’ll find our way through. We can’t read the future and must proceed with the information we have. If there’s more to the story, or things unfold in ways we couldn’t predict, even if we’ve chosen well, we may end up somewhere we never intended to go. We only have control over ourselves and there are always unseen developments that may hinder our plans. We don’t need luck to find our way. We have everything necessary to make good choices and can modify our plans when needed. Success is always possible and nothing can keep us from getting to our goals.

When we take the first step on any path, we also choose the destination it takes us to. That’s fine if we can see where the road will end, but that isn’t always possible. We may start out thinking the end result will be one thing and then discover as we move forward that we’re nowhere near where we thought we were headed. Life is filled with unexpected surprises and when the road bends we may have to turn around and start again. With determination, focus and patience, we can go anywhere and reach any destination.

When we have to make a difficult decision and none of the options are appealing, instead of working the problem, we may decide it’s too hard and set it aside. We might hope if we leave it alone long enough, someone else will take care of it. We may have to overcome many difficult and unpleasant tasks. Working through them and learning to find resolutions will bring us great knowledge and benefit. We gain wisdom with each challenge we overcome and learn more about ourselves and the world around us. Instead of looking away, we can address each issue as it arises, confident we’ll find the answers we need and prevail.

Today if don’t want to face a difficult decision before you, remember how capable and strong you are. There isn’t anything you can’t figure out. You don’t need luck to save you. You already possess everything needed for success. Look at the situation clearly and choose the best path forward. You are amazing and powerful, and nothing is too difficult for you to manage. Be confident. You know what to do and you will win.
