Life is filled with opportunities and possibilities. There are endless things we can do and unlimited places to go. The earth is huge and even if we traveled every day of our lives, we’d never see it all. The same is true of the opportunities available. There will always be more options possible than we can take advantage of. We can do anything we want but sometimes we stay where we are and continue in a situation that isn’t fulfilling for a lot of reasons. We don’t know how things will go, how hard it will be to get there, how long it will take, and we may be afraid we’ll fail. There will always be many reasons not to do the things we want the most, but they are just complications and we can manage them as they come. The only reason to change our lives and step forward toward the dreams we desire, is because we want them. That’s all we need. We only need to desire the change more than we’re afraid of what it will take to get it. We can think about what we want, dream about how it would be if we achieved it, and make plans until the cows come home, but until we start, they will elude us. Every dream is possible, and the road ahead is already there for us. When we’re ready to move, we can step forward and move closer to the goal. After that, we can step forward again. Our dreams only seem out of reach until we begin to make them ours. One step will lead us to the next, and if we continue, in time, we’ll reach the goal. Our lives belong to us and we can design them any way we like. If we want a change, we must be willing to step into the unknown, and trust ourselves to succeed. Foreign territory can be intimidating, but it’s only foreign until we make it ours. The first step is often the hardest, but once we break the mold, each step will be easier. Every single destination, every single dream is there for us. We can have the lives we want the most. We just need to begin.

Some people are very comfortable with routine. They like things to stay the same and don’t appreciate it when others rock the boat. If we have a relationship with them and share our ideas about a change we’re considering, they may try to talk us out of it. They may tell us it’s not a good idea, it will be too hard, we should be happy with what we have or a thousand other reasons. We can listen to any advice they offer, but nobody knows what we want more than we do. We already have everything we need to prevail, and nothing can hold us back from success.

Mediocrity is easy to achieve. We can coast through our lives and wait for things to improve on their own to a situation we desire. Waiting for life to make our dreams reality is like waiting for the sun to shine at night. It’s not going to happen. Everything is possible, but we must do what is needed to make it ours. Change is constant, and nothing is out of reach. By choosing the roads that take us to the destinations we desire, we will find great satisfaction and happiness.

Today if you’ve been waiting and wishing for your dreams to come true, create a plan to make them yours, and step forward to claim them. Every single possibility is there for you. You are amazing and powerful, and will reach every success you desire.

Fated

Every day we make lots of decisions. We can never read the future, and although we try to choose well, there will be times in everyone’s life when things don’t work out. We may take a wrong turn and end up far from where we want to be, we might choose something that hurts us or those around us, or we may make a decision that makes our lives miserable. We all know when we’re on the wrong road, but because of circumstances, we might not immediately turn around and redirect our course. Life is complicated and if we’re tangled up in a situation with others it may be difficult to free ourselves and walk away. If we continue forward and it turns out we made a disastrous decision, we will pay the price, whatever that may be. We may lose friends, disappoint family, hurt those we care about, or damage our credibility. We can never change the past, but where we’ve been cannot define what we can become. We aren’t fated to failure because we’ve made a mistake. Our lives are in our control and when we’re ready to change direction and start again, we can. Nothing can keep us on a journey we don’t want to make. When we’re ready to change, we can stop where we are, look at all the options possible and choose the best road moving forward. Our past mistakes are not indelible ink, permanently tattooed on us. We can repair damage from a bad decision, rebuild relationships and forge ahead. It doesn’t matter what’s behind us. What counts is what lies ahead and how we move forward. There is great success waiting, and we can do what is needed to reach it. No goal or destination is too far or too difficult to achieve. We can change anything at any time and move toward the lives we want the most. What’s gone is gone, and the future is ours to design. Nothing can keep us from anything we desire, and we will succeed.

There are people all around us most of the time, and when we falter, chances are others will notice. Some may simply see what’s happened and move on. Others may hold onto it and try to use it to hold us in place. They may remind us of where we went wrong in the past, and continually bring up our shortcomings. Nobody is perfect and we all have things we need to work on. There is nothing to be gained by constantly rehashing past mistakes. By learning as much as possible from where we’ve been, we can take that knowledge with us to help us as we move forward.

Personal pain can be very difficult to overcome. If we’ve gotten hurt badly by a choice that tilted us in the wrong direction, it can be hard to let go of the disappointment. We may think we should have known better, but nobody can see the end of the road from the beginning. We are intelligent and can trust ourselves to make the best choices moving forward. We can have faith that no matter what comes, we will prevail.

Today if you’re struggling over a mistake you made in the past, and it’s holding you down, think about all the things you’ve done well. You are good at many things and nothing can keep you from success. Trust yourself and step forward with confidence. All your dreams are ready and waiting. There is great success ahead, and you will reach it.

Going Solo

Life is full of opportunities and we can do anything we like. Our lives are ours to design and every goal is possible. We are in control of our decisions and can make them in ways that take us closer to the destinations we most desire. There will always be others around us, and if we share our vision with them and explain what we want to accomplish, they may cheer us on, or they may disagree and try to dissuade from our dreams. Everyone has their own opinions about how things should go, and we’re all entitled to choose any path we like. We can listen to any suggestions or advice, and then do exactly as we please. We never need agreement or permission to create any scenario we desire. After all, our personal journey is for us, and nobody else. We aren’t here to pave the way for anyone else’s dreams, and we never need to hold ours back because others don’t like it or don’t think we should proceed. We know what we want and although support and agreement is nice, we don’t need it to succeed. We can go solo and chart our own course to every destination we seek. The whole world is there for us, and every conceivable plan is possible. We need only decide what we want and begin forward. We can do what is necessary to achieve complete happiness, even if we must do it alone. We’re born alone and we’ll certainly die alone, but in between there will be others around us. Their influence may be great, and we may value their experience and wisdom. They may want us to do as they ask or go along with them, but we don’t have to follow their lead. We are entitled to our own dreams and desires and have everything we need to make them ours. We can trust ourselves to create the lives we want the most and find great happiness and satisfaction.

It’s great to build good, strong relationships with those around us. Having family and a network of friends can embellish and enrich our lives. We may enjoy spending time with them, sharing activities, and learning new things. They may invite us to do many things, or want us to emulate their decisions, but we never have to do anything we don’t want just because we have a connection. If they want us to go somewhere we’re not interested in, or do something that isn’t right for us, we may politely decline. Having a relationship doesn’t mean we must be the same.

Our journey is ours to determine. We are unique and individual, and there never has been, nor will there ever be anyone exactly like us. The roads we choose to travel are ours to choose, and we may go anywhere and do anything. By embracing our own desires, and appreciating our specific gifts and talents, we can find great pleasure and joy each day. Every success is there for us, and we can reach them all.

Today if you’re being pressured to change your plans and go in a different direction, choose the road that will take where you most want to go. You never have to go along to get along. Be confident and chart your own course. Nobody knows you better than you know yourself. Step forward on the journey you desire and proceed toward the goal. Nothing is out of reach, and you will succeed.

Whisper

Difficult challenges and trials are a natural part of our experiences here on earth. Nobody gets a continually charmed life where everything always goes well, and they never suffer. There are ups and downs in every life, hard times and easy times, and we may face extreme and serious problems. When trouble comes, and we feel pushed to the limit and unsure we can endure another moment we may believe we are doomed, and failure is inevitable. In those moments, even if we’re convinced we will not survive, there will be a tiny whisper in the back of our minds that tells us we can take another step. It may be small and quiet, but it will be there, always ready to comfort and cajole us to keep trying. No matter how sure we are of imminent disaster, there will always be the possibility of success. Even if it’s dark and the clouds above us are black and threatening, even if the wind is punishing and it’s hard to see, the road will still be there for us beckoning us forward. There isn’t anything powerful enough to hold us in place forever. We may need to stop and take a breath, we might need to rest and regroup, but with determination and focus, no matter how hard the journey is, we can prevail. Hard times will come, and we will surely be tested. We may have no idea at the beginning how we will get through, but we don’t have to see the end of the road to trust that it’s there for us. We can take one small step forward, and then take another. As we unravel each complication, we will get stronger and the road ahead will open a little more. In time, however long that takes, we will get through and the sun will shine on us once again. Every problem has a solution and every trial will end. No storm can last forever. We are stronger and more courageous than we think we are, and nothing, absolutely nothing, can overcome us. By trusting ourselves and believing we will prevail, we will succeed.

Some people delight in the suffering of others. They may laugh when we fall down, and ridicule us because we’re struggling to work through something difficult. It’s hard to understand what their motivation is, but their words mean nothing. Support from those around us is certainly beneficial when we’re trying to overcome a hard challenge, but if we don’t have it, we can manage whatever comes on our own. Every answer is already there for us, and with patience and determination we will find the way ahead.

We may face a situation that takes a long time to resolve. No matter what we do, we may not be able to improve things quickly. It’s hard to endure suffering for a long time, and we may grow weary. We can always give up and walk away, letting go of whatever it is we’re trying to accomplish, but turning away from success will never bring it to us. If we need to rest, we can, and then start again when we’re ready. Every single destination is there for us, and we have everything we need to win.

Today if you’re facing a big challenge, and aren’t sure how you can survive, trust yourself. You are stronger and more powerful than you imagine. Listen to that whisper that says you can prevail. Be confident and stand strong. Take one step forward and stay focused the road ahead. Every success is waiting, and you will reach it.

Making It Rock

Life is complex and since we don’t live in a vacuum there will likely be other people around us much of the time. When we’re closely connected to someone else, they may have suggestions about how they think we should live our lives and what we should be doing. It’s easier to nod and agree than to set out on our own, and in an effort to keep things even, we may simply go along. When we’re in a group and everyone is doing the same things, there may be pressure to conform. Following along may keep the peace, but it’s impossible to reach our own destinations by riding in the back seat. Most people feel comfortable when those around them are on the same page and doing the same things. It’s easy to fit in when you look like everyone else. Floating along downstream may be scenic and comfortable but sitting in someone else’s boat won’t take us where we want to go. The destinations we desire can only be reached if we step out on our own and begin toward them. Getting out of a boat is going to make it rock, and some may be unhappy because we’re upsetting the balance. “Why can’t you just sit still and go along” they may ask. Well, we could, but our lives are important, and all our dreams are waiting. When we’re ready to reach them, we can step away from the tide and set out on our own. Support from those close to us would be nice, but we don’t need it to design the way forward. We know what we want, and already possess everything we need to get it. By choosing what’s most important to us and moving toward the goals we most desire, we will gain great happiness and satisfaction. Every single dream is possible, and with conviction and determination, we will make them ours.

Blue is a beautiful color. It’s the color of the water and sky, and it’s pleasing to see. It’s lovely, but if everything we wore and everything we owned was blue, it would become tiresome and boring. Colors are enhanced when they’re accented by their opposites or those next to them on the spectrum. Differences bring depth and interest, and enrich our experiences. We never have to go along with all the “blues” if we want to be something else. Every color and every choice are possible, and we can paint our lives any way we desire.

Life is unpredictable and we never know what will happen next, but we can plan our way forward, moving toward the goals we most desire. Complications will likely come, problems may arise, and the road may get twisted and turned around, but we are intelligent and can find our way forward. Broken pavement doesn’t mean a final stop. We can step around what’s in the way and continue toward the goal. Every destination is possible, and we have all the wisdom and courage we need to reach them all.

Today think about what you want the most, and then take the first step toward the goal. You are amazing and your life is important. Every dream is possible, and you are powerful enough to make them yours. Decide what you want and begin toward the goal. Nothing is out of reach, every dream is waiting, and you have everything you need to succeed. Trust yourself and be confident. The whole world is there for you.
