Bankrupt

17 Jun

Everyone has a lot going on in their lives much of the time. We have many responsibilities, chores and things that need our attention, and there are others around us who may ask for our help as well. We can’t stretch the days any longer than they are and when we’re busy, and someone asks for our time, despite the pressures we’re already under, we may agree and try to find a way to get it done. We may say yes even when we can’t see how we’ll be able to accomplish the task. Most of us want to be helpful, but we must all work within the limits we have. It does no good to over extend ourselves and bankrupt our time. We’ll only end up frustrated and overwhelmed with too much to do and no way to accomplish it. There are lots of people around us and we all have a lot to do. There is no way we can help everyone who asks or be there continually for others, and still get our personal responsibilities cared for. Our time is limited and it’s important and appropriate to manage it in ways that move us forward and give us the opportunity to accomplish our own tasks as well as help others with theirs. Our needs are important and we can value and care for them. It’s counterproductive to commit to more than we can accomplish or get so busy we have no time to take care of ourselves. We can be helpful and still be pro-active. We can offer what works within our personal constraints and then say no to any more. There will always be more need than we can fill. With patience and wisdom, we can exercise self-control and manage our time in ways that help others while still having time for ourselves.

It can be hard to say no when we’re pressed to help. Those close to us may require more support than we can comfortably give, but we may try because they need us. It’s not selfish to decline requests that will be more than we can handle. We can help when possible and understand that we’re all responsible for our own lives. If we fall apart from exhaustion because we’ve over committed, we won’t be able to take care of anything. It’s appropriate to care for ourselves first and then attend to all the other demands around us.

Our personal relationships are important and need attention to keep them happy and healthy. Scheduling too much to do and pressing ourselves to accomplish so much that we neglect time with those we love will hurt us in the end. The world is filled with need. We can do our part without doing too much, and manage our time effectively. Our lives are always in our control. With careful consideration, we can take good care of ourselves and still serve those around us.

Today if you’ve agreed to do more than you can manage and find yourself overwhelmed and over extended, step back and look at what you can comfortably manage. Revise your commitments so that you have the time you need to care for yourself and those you love. Help when you can but manage your time in ways that benefit you and those around you. You are amazing and the whole world is blessed by your presence. Take the best of care and step forward with confidence.

Paying Attention

4 Jun

There’s a lot going on around us all the time. There are people constantly coming in and going out of our lives, and endless things to grab our attention and distract us. It’s easy to get caught up in the action and lose track of what we’re doing or where we’re headed. People and things interrupt us, others ask questions or need our input, and we may get sidetracked until we forget where we were. There’s no way to keep the world out of our lives completely, and as we push ahead if there’s a lot going on, our own personal progress may get stalled. We might get involved in what others are doing, or set our goals aside so we can help with something specific. It’s good to interact with those around us and we learn a lot by being part of other people’s lives. But the destinations we want to reach are important and we can carefully and judiciously monitor our time so that while we’re sharing it with others, we still have enough to do what we want for ourselves. By paying attention to our own personal needs as well as those around us, we’ll find great success and satisfaction. We can’t do everything at the same time, but we can plan effectively to make sure what’s most important gets our energy and focus. Our lives are ours to design and every decision we make determines what we’ll accomplish and where we’ll go. If we keep our eyes on the goals ahead, even if we step away for a time, we’ll reach them. Every destination is possible. We can plan our time effectively, prioritize what’s most important, and succeed. Nothing is too complex for us to manage, and with patience and wisdom we can make every dream a reality.

When we’re struggling to find our way forward, and there are many details we need to work out, the distractions around us may become invasive and irritating. If there’s a lot of noise and activity, it can be hard to focus on what we’re doing. We’re never frozen in place, and if where we are isn’t working, we can move to a location that is more amenable and helpful for us. Instead of complaining, we can take action. We’re always in control of our lives and can do what is needed to achieve our goals.

Nobody lives in Nirvana and we all suffer from time to time. As we’re pushing ahead, we may notice someone near us having a problem. Our goals are important but offering to help when needed won’t prevent us from reaching success. We develop great compassion and understanding as we assist others. Our lives are enriched and we understand our part in the big picture. We’re all more connected than we may realize and reaching out to help someone else will always embellish us and move us forward.

Today decide how you want to proceed and pay attention to what’s going on around you. You can focus on the goals you want to achieve and actively move forward, or set your project aside and work with others for now. Everything you want to accomplish is possible and with planning and determination you can go anywhere and do anything. Be in control and step ahead with confidence and courage. Every dream is possible and you will make them yours.

Long Con

30 May

There are all kinds of people in the world and some of them aren’t as honest or trustworthy as we would hope. Some people make choices based on greed, or control, or manipulation or a thousand other negative reasons. If they enter our lives and are dishonest with us, we may find ourselves in a very uncomfortable and difficult situation. Perhaps they’re co-workers who want to discredit us to move themselves forward, or intimate relationships with others who convince us they love us when they only want something from us. When the truth of the situation appears, if we are deeply entrenched, it may be hard to believe what’s happened. Looking back after all the facts are laid bare, we will see everything clearly and may wonder how we ever fell for the trap. We may feel like fools, and struggle to forgive ourselves for believing the lie. But it’s good to trust others, and there is sometimes no way to know the whole story from the beginning. If we’ve been manipulated and used by someone else, we may believe we should have known better, or somehow should have seen what was happening. We don’t know what we don’t know, and can only work with the facts we’ve been given. If we’ve been conned into believing something that isn’t true, once we discover everything, we can learn from the experience and take that knowledge with us going forward. Most people are honest and will do the right thing. We can forgive ourselves if we’ve been fooled, and move on with increased clarity and confidence. We are wise and capable, and nothing can hold us down indefinitely. We know what we want, and we will find success.

Our emotions can be very powerful and if we’re transfixed by someone we believe in, we may forge ahead blindly, ignoring warnings around us that something isn’t quite right. Others may try to caution us, but it’s up to us to listen. We can do anything we like, even if it leads us to disaster. Everyone makes mistakes and if we find we’ve arrived at our desired goal, only to discover it isn’t anything like we thought it would be, we can stop, look at all our options and choose the best road going forward. Life is all about change and nothing is permanent. Mistakes don’t define us. We can always adjust our plans and start again.

If we make a serious mistake with long reaching consequences, it may be hard to trust ourselves again. We may believe we’ll never choose well, and everything we do will end badly. That will never be true. We are smart enough to learn from our mistakes and can always make excellent choices. Every success is possible and we can trust ourselves to find the right roads ahead. Nothing is beyond our grasp and we will reach every destination we desire.

Today if you’ve been manipulated and lied to, and are doubting your ability to choose wisely, trust yourself. You’ve made many excellent decisions already and will make them again. You are strong and intelligent, and nothing is too difficult for you to comprehend. Learn everything you can and move forward with confidence. Every success is there for you and you will reach it.

Not Working

9 May

As we strive to achieve our goals, we may try many different methods and ideas until we’re able to push forward. Although we know where we want to go and what we want to do, the way to get there isn’t always clear. We may spend considerable time reviewing options and trying different things until we find one that works and moves us ahead. If we keep our minds open and look at ideas we never thought possible, it will be easier to get to an open road. However, if we’ve decided we already know the best way forward, we may refuse to consider any other suggestion. That might work out and we might find success. Everything may go exactly as planned, or we may get stalled and unable to move. If we’re determined to make our way work, we may keep pushing and pushing, and hoping that eventually we will prevail. There are endless roads to every destination, and if we stay on one that isn’t moving, we won’t reach the goal. Making the same wrong turn over and over won’t get us on the right path. It’s good to be confident in our decisions, but if they aren’t working out, we can modify them and try something else. Changing direction doesn’t mean we’ve failed. We gain more information as we move forward and sometimes what was clear at the beginning may become cloudy and obstructed. By remaining flexible and open to new ideas and suggestions, we can revise our plans when needed, and turn our course toward success. There isn’t anything we can’t do. We are smart enough and strong enough to find every road and every destination. If we keep our eyes open and listen carefully, we’ll find success.

Life is filled with uncertainty and sometimes things go awry because of circumstances of which we were unaware or that are out of our control. Our personal confidence will help us overcome complications and detours that may arise, and help us move forward. It’s good to have confidence and trust ourselves but it’s important to remember we can never know everything about every situation. Things may change, and continuing on the same road when it’s going nowhere will keep us from success. Being flexible and making adjustments to help us move forward will ensure we reach the goal.

Nothing is permanent in life. Everything is constantly changing and sometimes those changes get in the way of what we’re trying to do. Something blocking our path isn’t a sign that our goal cannot be achieved, but a signal to re-evaluate the way forward. It’s a good time to stop, look around at all the possibilities, and decide on the best direction moving ahead. We know what we want, and we are wise enough to find the way forward to get it.

Today if you’re sure the road you’re on is the best choice but you’re unable to advance and can’t move forward, re-evaluate your plans. Be open to every option possible and adjust your direction. You are intelligent and capable, and nothing is too difficult for you to manage. Revise your plans and move forward. You will find the way ahead, and reach success.

Half the Equation

26 Apr

We live in the world with billions of other people. Of course, we won’t ever meet them all but we’ll generally have many people coming and going out of our lives all the time. As we work with them or affiliate with them in any way, they may ask us to do things for them. Most people want to be helpful and will often do as they are asked. It’s fine if we get all the information we need and can accomplish what they’ve requested but sometimes we may be in position where we don’t have everything necessary to effectively do what we’ve agreed to. Maybe we didn’t receive all the facts to answer any questions that come up, or the situation changes while we’re in the middle of it and nobody informs us. We don’t know what we don’t know and if we aren’t told about key changes, we can’t possibly choose the best way forward. It’s very uncomfortable to try to manage something over which we have no control and it only gets worse if we can’t reach those who can shed light on the issue. If we can’t let go of the responsibility or return it to those in charge, we may be stuck holding the bag. If we can’t get out from under it, we’ll have to manage things the best we can. We can stand firm, and explain the situation to those who are negatively affected by it until we can address the issue and correct it. We are capable and can be confident that no matter what happens we will choose the best options possible. Problems arise, and complications are a continual issue. We can manage everything with confidence and grace, and find our way through.

Some people rush through their lives, always in a hurry, and moving on to the next thing. It’s hard to get all the information and facts correct if we rush over them and don’t take the time needed to make sure we understand all the facts. If we have to guess, we might get it right sometimes, but often we may miss out on important facets that will help us through. We are always in control of our lives and if a situation isn’t clear, we can ask for more information until we understand exactly what is needed.

Some issues are complicated and complex. In order to resolve them, we must get as many facts as possible so we have a clear picture of what’s going on. Getting half the information we need will never help us succeed. If we can’t get the answers necessary, we may feel frustrated and miserable trying to plow through. It’s a waste of time to try to solve anything without all the facts. We can set the problem aside and wait until we have more information and then start again and resolve it. We are intelligent and capable, and we know what we need to succeed.

Today if you been tasked with resolving an issue but you don’t have all the information you need or the tools necessary to complete it, step back and look at all the possibilities before you. If you cannot solve the problem at this time, set it aside until you get what you need to be successful. Waiting for clarity doesn’t mean giving up. When you get everything necessary to resolve the issue you can move forward. You know how to be successful and nothing is too confusing or difficult for you to manage. Every success is possible and you will prevail.
