Pushed Beyond

Everyone has dreams and goals they want to achieve, and places they want to go. We can do anything we like but how we proceed depends on a lot of factors. Timing is everything. There may be times when something we want is out of reach and nothing we do can bring it closer. When that happens, we can set it aside for a while until the situation changes and then try again. If we’re focused and determined we can generally get to whatever goal we’re seeking. But that doesn’t mean we have to push ourselves beyond our limits. We don’t have to work on the goal 24/7 and sacrifice everything else in our lives, seeing only the one destination to the exception of all others. Giving everything up to the exclusion of one desire, and doing nothing but working on that constantly, pushing ourselves beyond what is reasonable, may create serious complications that come back to bite us. We don’t have to destroy our personal lives and health to reach any goal or prove we are worth some standard we have set. Instead of only seeing the prize at the end, we can focus on our personal growth and progress, and find the way forward with calm and confidence. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and we don’t have to do everything all at once. We are valuable and a great blessing to the world just as we are. Whatever goals we accomplish will enhance our experience and bring us greater satisfaction. There is no rush to reach success. It will always be there for us, and with consistency and determination, we can do anything we desire. Every day is a blessing, and we have everything we need to find great success.

When we want something badly, it’s hard to patiently work through whatever is needed to make it ours. If we want to lose weight, we may decide it all needs to come off this week. We know it took us a lot longer to gain it, but we want it off – like now. Instead of looking at the situation realistically, we may starve ourselves or exercise our bodies into complete exhaustion thinking we can make things change immediately. Extreme measures rarely work, and the costs we have to pay for them may be high. By taking the time necessary to logically think through what is appropriate and reasonable, we can come up with a plan that works effectively, and helps us reach our goal.

The influence of others often comes into play when we’re trying to accomplish something. They may tell us how they think we should proceed, and give us all kinds of suggestions. We can certainly take any advice offered, but nobody knows us better than we know ourselves. We know what will work, and how to proceed in ways that take us to success. By trusting ourselves and being patient, every goal is possible. Nothing is out of reach and we will prevail.

Today if you’ve been pushing yourself to exhaustion trying to reach a goal, stop and think about all the options possible. You are completely capable of accomplishing anything you desire. Make a workable plan and step forward with confidence. Every destination is already there for you, and with patience and clarity, you will reach them all.

Finally Enough

Our lives belong solely to us and we can do anything we like. Everyone has an idea of how they want things to go and what they want to do, but the desire to accomplish something isn’t always enough motivation to get us moving. We may really, really want to lose weight, but somehow find a way each day to sabotage our efforts. We might truly want a new career, but don’t take the time we need to start looking for other options and preparing for something new. Desiring something is only the first step toward getting there. Whatever we want to achieve is possible, but we must follow through on what is necessary to make the dream reality. There is enough wisdom and intelligence in all of us to do whatever we want, but we have to decide once and for all that it will be ours, and then focus clearly on doing what is needed to obtain it. If we’ve wavered for a long time, and have experienced several failures to follow through, it’s not too late. Once we finally decide we’ve had enough delaying and putting it off, we can begin the journey forward. People are complex and there will always be a thousand reasons to wait on any decision. We might be really busy, and have a lot of projects going on right now. Or our relationships may require a lot of attention. Or we don’t feel at our best, or it’s raining outside. If we want an excuse to stay put and do nothing, there will always be something available. There are lots of reasons why we may not pursue what we want, but if we really want to accomplish the goal, nothing can keep us from it. We just have to decide what we want the most. Once we’ve decided, we can do what is needed to take the first step. We can have the lives we want the most if we’re willing to take control and make them ours. Nothing is out of reach, and we will find our way to success.

Nobody sets out to take a trip without deciding where they’ll go. If we simply get in our cars and drive all day with no planned destination, the odds of ending up where we want to go are slim to none. We can live our days simply following along and taking whatever comes and hope we’ll end up with the lives we desire most, but that isn’t likely to happen. If we want to be happy, we must decide where we’ll go and what we’ll do, and then begin forward with purpose. Every destination is there for us, and with clarity and determination, we can make them ours.

Most things are achievable but not everything will come easily. Getting fit and losing weight takes constant diligence and focus, gaining a new career will require research and maybe additional education. If we determine that the cost to achieve the goal is worth the benefit once we get there, we can make a plan and step forward. Everything is possible and nothing is too difficult or too far away. We know what we want, and have everything we need to get it.

Today if you’ve been putting off a goal you want to achieve, decide what you want the most. There isn’t anything you can’t accomplish. Make a plan and step forward with confidence. Every dream is possible and with focus and patience, you can make them yours.

Small Moves

Nobody gets a perfect life and we all have things we’d like to change about ourselves or our situation. They may be big alterations like wanting to move to a new location or changing our careers. Big changes take a lot of planning and encompass many moving parts that may be complex and difficult to navigate. But not everything we want to change is all encompassing. There may be smaller things we’d like to alter, like exercising more or taking more time for friends and family. We’re in control of our lives and can do anything we like, but lots of things will happen on their own. Life has its own rhythm and if we just coast along we’ll end up in a lot of places and do a lot of things, but they may not be the things we want the most. Routine is comfortable and even if we dream of something different, unless we focus and decide to do what is necessary to make them ours, we might just go from day to day and let things remain the same. Change requires effort and will likely push us out of our comfort zones. Thinking about everything and looking at the whole picture may be overwhelming, and instead of jumping in and starting, we may back away thinking we can’t do it. In reality, we can do anything we really want to do, but we can’t do it all at once. Instead of trying to make lots of changes right away, we can break it down into small moves that are easy to manage. Small moves are just as effective as big ones, and each step we take will move us a little closer to the goal. In time, if we persist, we’ll reach the destination. Success is always possible and there is no rush to reach it. We can make small changes and take our time. As we move closer, we’ll gain more confidence and see everything more clearly. We can have the lives we desire most. Every single destination is possible, and we have everything we need to make them ours.

Rome wasn’t built in a day. Historians believe it took approximately 1,010,450 days to construct. That’s a lot of time and effort to create one city. We won’t ever need that much time to complete any goal we desire, but it helps to remember we have all the time we need to get it done, and we don’t have to hurry to get there. We can plan our time effectively and move forward at a pace that allows us to feel comfortable and still achieve the goal.

When we want something badly, we may try to rush to obtain it. If we suddenly decide we’re finally going to lose the twenty pounds we’ve gained over the last five years, we may take drastic measures to make it happen fast. Making big moves to achieve a goal may seem like a good idea at the beginning, but it’s hard to maintain behaviors that require us to make big changes immediately. We’ll be more successful making reasonable alterations we can stick to that lead us step by step to success.

Today if you’ve decided you want to make a change, think about small moves that will take you to the goal. You really are so amazing and capable and can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Decide what you want, and then step forward with confidence. Every dream is possible, and you will succeed. With persistence, you can make all your dreams come true, and find great satisfaction and happiness.

What Counts

Our lives belong to us and we can design them any way we want. There are endless goals we can achieve and with determination and focus, we can accomplish anything we desire. Some goals are easy and we get them done quickly, but others are harder and we may suffer many setbacks as we try to push ahead. Losing weight is one example. All we have to do is eat less and exercise more. Simple right? It sounds easy enough but we may discover pretty quickly that what seems easy on paper is harder to do in real life. How about managing our time more effectively? That’s a cinch. We just have to be more realistic when we set up our schedules and stay away from anything that distracts us from the task at hand. We may clearly understand the concepts of reaching our goal, but putting them into practice may take more effort and focus than we might imagine. It’s easy to understand what we need to do to change our personal behaviors, but change takes practice and time. We’ve carefully carved a nice clean road going the way we used to do things. Moving in a new direction means cutting a new path and then walking on it again and again until it becomes ours. Big changes may take longer than we expect, and after yet another detour we may begin to believe we’ll never succeed. But every step we take in the right direction matters. Every single time we choose to stay on course is success, and every success counts. We are successful every moment we don’t quit. It’s great to reach a big goal, but each step forward before we get there is a win. We can do anything. We are stronger and more powerful than we know, and every dream is possible.

When we want to do something new, we may try to learn everything about it we can before we begin. Knowledge is power, but knowledge does not predict how we’ll manage the changes ahead. Some roads may be far harder than we imagined, and we may stand confused and overwhelmed at first trying to find our footing. Every goal is possible, but some will be harder and more complex than we know at the beginning. If we’re determined and keep moving forward, we can accomplish anything. We are capable and smart, and nothing is beyond our reach.

Our plans won’t always work out the way we want them to the first time we try. It doesn’t mean we can’t achieve the goal, but only that our first attempt didn’t work out. There are endless roads to every destination. If the first one didn’t move us forward, we can try another, and keep trying until we find the one that works. Every answer is already there for us, and we can always find our way. We can have the lives we desire most, and make all our dreams come true.

Today if you’ve stumbled again trying to get to a goal you desire, don’t give up. You are amazing and capable, and a setback isn’t the end of the road. Every step you take brings success. Decide how you want to proceed, and move forward with confidence. The road ahead is waiting and every goal is possible. Nothing is too far or too difficult for you to reach. Keep going. You will win.

Heavy

We’ll have many happy days as we go through our lives but there will also be days when the sun won’t shine and we’re burdened with problems, concerns and difficult issues that rob us of peace and make us miserable.  Misery happens and even if we try to shield ourselves by making good choices, things will inevitably go wrong from time to time.  We can get through anything we need to and all the answers will come eventually but while we struggle we may feel unhappy and heavy with worry and concern.  When the cares of the world are weighing upon us it can be hard to face our days and continue pushing forward.  We can refuse to look at the issue and pretend everything is fine, hoping that somehow it’ll work itself out.  It’s possible but seriously unlikely that our problems will resolve themselves.  Instead of trying to hide from them we can face them head on and do what we must to resolve them once and for all so we can let them go.  Carrying around a heavy burden is tiresome and will keep us from moving toward the goals we want the most.  By stopping and looking at everything clearly, opening all the doors to the roads ahead, we can find the answers we need to solve any problem.  It doesn’t matter how hard the issue is, it doesn’t matter how many times we’ve already tried to fix it, we can try again and find success.  Life is filled with opportunity and when we’re bogged down with trouble, we can push forward and find our way.  We are stronger and more capable than we think we are and nothing is heavy enough to hold us back.

Lifting weights will help us build physical strength.  As our muscles get stronger, we can lift heavier and heavier weights until we reach our goal.  Gaining strength doesn’t come easily.  Sitting around and hoping we’ll magically get stronger by doing nothing will never work.  We have to push ourselves and test our limits and then push through them until we achieve the strength we desire.  The same is true in our personal lives.  When we’re tested with heavy burdens and difficult challenges, as we find our way through we gain additional skills and build our personal strength.  We learn about ourselves as we struggle and can use the knowledge we gain moving forward.  There isn’t anything we can’t manage.  We can be confident and continue moving toward our goals.

If we’re going through a serious complication that completely takes over our focus we may believe we can’t survive it.  We might think the problem is too difficult, too intense and too pervasive for us to manage, but we are strong.  We can believe in our ability to handle whatever is before us, no matter how serious the issue is.  The answers will always be there for us and if we look carefully we’ll find them.  We can do anything.  Success is always possible and we can reach it.

Today if you’re overwhelmed with a problem and don’t know how to get through, trust yourself.  You’ve overcome many difficult issues already and you will find the answers.  You are strong and wise, and nothing is too heavy for you to carry.  Be confident.  You will prevail and find your way forward.
