Momentum

Our lives are ours to design and we are in control of every decision we make. We all know this, but there may be times when we do things we don’t really want to do because of external pressures, or circumstances that affect how we proceed. Sometimes others intervene in ways that hold us in place, or situations arise that keep us from doing things exactly the way we prefer. Although we are strong and know what we want, the momentum of something out of our control might make turning in a different direction very difficult. Tradition is powerful and even if we choose to do things differently, the influence of those around us might keep us from proceeding. The patterns of family, and the routines of our relationships can be very defined and difficult to change. If we try, there may be serious push back and insistence on compliance with the norm and what is expected. We can do anything we like, but changing direction and going against the flow takes real desire and determination. We can do anything we like, but not everything will come easily. If we’re ready for a change and want to step away from where we’ve been, nothing can stop us. We just need to decide exactly what we want, and step forward. There isn’t only one way to live well. We can change anything we like and have the lives we want the most. Momentum is powerful, but we are stronger than any influence around us. Every single destination is possible, and with patience and clarity, we will reach them all.

Mediocrity and conformity are easy to achieve. We can go along with whatever is happening and simply agree with whatever is decided. Riding in the backseat will certainly take us along on the trip but if we aren’t driving, we will never go where we most want to be. If we’re comfortable doing what others are doing, we can keep our heads down for as long as we like. But our lives belong to us, and we are responsible for our own happiness. Nobody is going to make our dreams come true for us. We can take control of our own destinies, and create the lives we want the most.

It takes courage to step away from the crowd and move toward something new. Foreign territory is unknown, and it’s impossible to see the end from the beginning. We are intelligent and can certainly manage anything that comes. When we’re ready to achieve a new goal, the road will be there for us. Nothing is out of reach, and every dream is possible. By trusting ourselves and confidently moving forward, nothing can keep us from success.

Today if you’re ready to move toward your dreams, decide what you want the most and take the first step forward. Then take the next, and the next, and before long, you will have achieved the goal. You already know what you want, and have everything you need to reach anything you desire. Stand strong and be confident. The road ahead is waiting. Every dream is possible and you will make them yours.

Cards We Get

Life is unpredictable and nobody knows what will happen today or tomorrow or next week or ever. We may be humming along and everything is going fine when suddenly something changes and we have an entirely new set of problems and issues we have to face. We only have control over our own decisions, and there are things happening all around us all the time we don’t know about and have no control over. We get what we get. It’s like playing cards. We may know the rules of the game and even be very good at playing it, but we have no control over the cards we get. We might luck out and get four aces, or we might get a jumble of cards that have nothing to do with one another that take us nowhere. There’s no way to know anything before we get them and how we manage the situation determines what happens next. If everything is useless, we can fold, and walk away from the game. Or we can play along and try to move ahead despite our misfortune. If we’re facing a turbulent, difficult, trying issue and we feel overwhelmed, we can always just sit down and refuse to do anything, hoping we can just wait it out until it goes away. That might work but if we don’t find the answers to our problems they will never stay away forever. Unresolved issues always return until we take them apart and fix them. Hiding from conflict just delays the inevitable. No matter what’s happening or how confusing and convoluted the problem, we have what we need to find our way forward. The answers are always there for us and with patience and determination we will find them. Success is always possible, and nothing is powerful enough to hold us down. We are strong and wise, and will find the way forward.

Nobody gets a charmed life where all the streets are paved in gold and every day is sunny and bright. Life is filled with challenges and trials, and every time we unravel and solve one, we gain more information and new skills to take forward with us. If we’ve been struggling with one thing after another, we may tire and feel we can’t succeed. We can always step back, stand still and take the time we need to rest and look again at all the options possible. There will never be a tangle we can’t unravel or a problem we cannot solve. We are intelligent and capable, and we will prevail.

If we’re on a road trip and there are many obstacles and detours on the road ahead, we can look at a map and find another way around. There will never be only one road forward or one answer to any complication or problem. Other possibilities will be available and we can always re-route the way forward and change direction. Every destination is there for us and with determination, focus and clarity, we will find the best way forward and reach success. We can do anything we desire and every dream is possible.

Today if you’re facing a complicated and difficult issue and don’t know how to proceed, look at everything objectively. Nothing can hold you in place indefinitely. Trust yourself. There is a way forward and you will find it. You are more powerful and stronger than you imagine, and there isn’t anything you can’t do. Stand strong and step forward. Every success is waiting and you will claim them all.

Preparing to Win

There are endless things we can accomplish and unlimited places to go, and we can do anything we like. Everything is possible and knowing what we want is always the first step. There will always be many options possible, and it’s up to us to determine where we’ll go and how we’ll spend our time. Everyone wants to succeed and no matter what’s going on, we all want to win. But wanting to win alone will never take us to the prize. If we really want to get there, we must prepare to win. What that entails will be different for every goal we want to achieve. We may have to change our schedules or location to accommodate what must be done. We may have to alter behavior traits and set up routines to which we’re unaccustomed. Most accomplishments will require that we change something, and it may be easy or uncomfortable and difficult. How much we want the goal will determine what we’re willing to do to reach it. If it requires a lot and the price is more than we’re willing to give, we can set the goal aside and focus on something else. We can always return to it again if we decide we’re ready to try. Whatever we want to do is possible, but nothing will come simply because we desire it. We will never achieve our goals if we don’t do what is necessary to get there. Our lives are ours to design. We’re responsible for our own happiness. We can reach any destination we want and find complete satisfaction. Nothing is out of reach and with planning and determination, we will win.

Marathon races are big events. Lots of people participate and there are many people who come to watch and cheer the runners on. Often the atmosphere at the finish line is very festive and exciting. We might go to one and get caught up in the excitement, and decide we want to run in a marathon race. Lots of people do it, how hard could it be? We may buy great running shoes and good exercise clothes to prepare, but if we don’t get out on the road and actually start running and condition ourselves for the race, there is no way we could ever win. Every goal we want to accomplish is the same way. If we want to win, we must define what we need to do, and then do it.

When we’re on a road trip, we really appreciate good pavement. It makes the trip smoother, and easier to endure. Preparing effectively to reach a goal is like laying down a clear, smooth path that will help us move forward and ensure our success. Preparation is always the most important key to success. We may have all the enthusiasm possible and be highly interested in the goal, but if we don’t pave the way to get there, we won’t succeed. We already know what we want, and we have everything we need to get there.

Today if there’s a big goal you want to achieve, start preparing the way forward and move ahead with confidence. You have all the wisdom and courage you need to accomplish anything. Plan your steps carefully and prepare to win. Every dream is possible, and nothing can keep you from success.

Out of the Way

As we go through our lives, we interact with all kinds of different people who have all kinds of different ideas about everything. Some are pleasant and easy to deal with, others not so much. We may even have to interact with people who are rude and ruthless. There is a huge spectrum of personalities and perspectives. When someone is very self-interested and pushing forward on their own path without regard to others around them, they may push us out of the way as they press ahead. We be may be only obstacles in their path as they shove their way around us and continue on. We’re all entitled to our own interpretations and if we want to be selfish, we can choose to focus only on our own interests and disregard anyone else. We might get to the goal faster, but we’ll surely be alone in the victory, and we’ll miss any benefits building relationships along the way may bring. Nobody knows everything and everyone has something valuable to share. If we close ourselves off and keep ourselves apart, pushing everyone else away, we will miss the chance to gain information others may be willing to give us. Our goals are important and we all want to achieve success. We can move forward concentrating on the road ahead, and still build valuable relationships along the way. Each person we allow into our lives will give us something new to take with us. Our lives will be enriched by the many expressions and interpretations around us and we’ll gain further knowledge that will help us reach our goals. We’re all here together. Learning to let others into our lives and embracing everything they bring will teach us more about each other and our world. No success is out of reach and by joining together we will reach every destination.

A long road trip with days and days of endless highway can quickly become tedious and boring. Being alone by ourselves for a while can be restful and refreshing, but if the time stretches beyond what is comfortable, we may yearn for someone to talk to and share our experiences with. We can allow others to share the journey with us and gain the benefit of different opinions and viewpoints. Everyone has a different perspective and each idea has value. We can share our lives and our dreams with those around us and gain insight and ideas to help us move forward.

Each day we make decisions that take us further down the road as we continue our journey forward. If we get stopped or lose our way, it’s helpful to have someone else’s perspective to find the way forward again. What’s unclear to us may be obvious to someone else. Every bit of knowledge we gain helps us move forward and we can be open to asking for advice and listening to suggestions. We can share our lives and our dreams, and reach every destination we choose.

Today if you’ve been pushing others out of the way in a rush to reach your goals, remember you can’t know everything. Others have much to share and you can let them in. If you do, the road will be easier and the journey will be more satisfying. Every success is there for you. Be wise and confident, and nothing will keep you from your dreams.
