Standing By

There are a lot of things we want to accomplish in our lives, and we can reach any goal we desire. If all the parameters of success are up to us, and we have control over each step forward, it may be easy to reach the goal. But life is complicated, and many times our success depends not only on what we do, but on what’s going on around us, and the decisions being made by others. We’re all more connected than we think we are, and things happening far beyond our reach may prevent us from moving ahead. It’s not easy to wait when we want to move, and it’s hard to be patient when we’ve done all we can and must wait for the situation to change. Standing by and watching others move forward while we stand still can be maddening. If we’ve done all we can, and still are unable to progress, we will have to wait. If it looks like the wait will be long, we can set the goal aside and begin working on something else. We never have to stand in place indefinitely. We can set our sights on something new, and when things change and the road opens up ahead, we can start again, and proceed toward the original goal. Every destination is possible but timing is everything. What we want may not be available to us right now but that doesn’t mean it will never be possible. What’s out of reach at the moment will not be out of reach forever. We can be patient and work on other projects and goals until we are able to gain success. Every option is always there for us, and there are many ways to reach success. We can trust ourselves to find the answers we need, and if we must wait, can still proceed forward. All our dreams can be ours, and we can reach every destination we desire.

Sometimes it seems the road ahead is paved and we move forward with few problems, accomplishing the task with little discomfort. Other times, it seems that everything that could possibly hold us in place comes into play and we struggle to make even the tiniest bit of headway. Trouble moving forward doesn’t mean the goal isn’t meant for us or we won’t be able to succeed. Complications give us the chance to learn something new and refine our patience. We can do anything, and already have everything we need to get to any destination. Through wisdom and persistence, we can reach the goal, and have the lives we dream about.

Standing by and waiting for a chance to move forward toward an accomplishment cannot keep us from completing other goals. There are many destinations available to us and if one is locked up now, we can focus on another. Life is long and there is time to achieve the things that are most important to us. We can design our lives any way we like, and with patience and focus, will make our dreams come true.

Today if you’re standing by, waiting for things to change so you can move ahead, look at all the possibilities available. Step toward another goal and actively move forward. Your life belongs to you and every goal is possible. Decide what you want, and take the first step toward it. You are amazing and capable, and nothing is beyond your reach. Success is there for you, and you will reach it.

Out of the Way

As we go through our lives, we interact with all kinds of different people who have all kinds of different ideas about everything. Some are pleasant and easy to deal with, others not so much. We may even have to interact with people who are rude and ruthless. There is a huge spectrum of personalities and perspectives. When someone is very self-interested and pushing forward on their own path without regard to others around them, they may push us out of the way as they press ahead. We be may be only obstacles in their path as they shove their way around us and continue on. We’re all entitled to our own interpretations and if we want to be selfish, we can choose to focus only on our own interests and disregard anyone else. We might get to the goal faster, but we’ll surely be alone in the victory, and we’ll miss any benefits building relationships along the way may bring. Nobody knows everything and everyone has something valuable to share. If we close ourselves off and keep ourselves apart, pushing everyone else away, we will miss the chance to gain information others may be willing to give us. Our goals are important and we all want to achieve success. We can move forward concentrating on the road ahead, and still build valuable relationships along the way. Each person we allow into our lives will give us something new to take with us. Our lives will be enriched by the many expressions and interpretations around us and we’ll gain further knowledge that will help us reach our goals. We’re all here together. Learning to let others into our lives and embracing everything they bring will teach us more about each other and our world. No success is out of reach and by joining together we will reach every destination.

A long road trip with days and days of endless highway can quickly become tedious and boring. Being alone by ourselves for a while can be restful and refreshing, but if the time stretches beyond what is comfortable, we may yearn for someone to talk to and share our experiences with. We can allow others to share the journey with us and gain the benefit of different opinions and viewpoints. Everyone has a different perspective and each idea has value. We can share our lives and our dreams with those around us and gain insight and ideas to help us move forward.

Each day we make decisions that take us further down the road as we continue our journey forward. If we get stopped or lose our way, it’s helpful to have someone else’s perspective to find the way forward again. What’s unclear to us may be obvious to someone else. Every bit of knowledge we gain helps us move forward and we can be open to asking for advice and listening to suggestions. We can share our lives and our dreams, and reach every destination we choose.

Today if you’ve been pushing others out of the way in a rush to reach your goals, remember you can’t know everything. Others have much to share and you can let them in. If you do, the road will be easier and the journey will be more satisfying. Every success is there for you. Be wise and confident, and nothing will keep you from your dreams.

Remembering

As we move through our lives we face all kinds of situations, meet various kinds of people and learn constantly.  We know who we are and what we want to do, but there are continual influences all around us.  Some are intense and strong, and as we get caught up in everything going on we may fall into those influences and forget who we really are.  As time goes by if we continue to adopt the patterns and choices of others instead of choosing what we want for ourselves, we may end up living a life that doesn’t genuinely represent us.  It’s possible to live our whole lives doing things others expect, or living in ways that fit someone else’s ideas.  Our lives are precious and belong completely and utterly to us alone.  We can manage them any way we desire and design them to fit perfectly into the choices we want.  It takes courage and strength to stand on our own if our choices don’t match what’s happening around us.  Everyone is different and we all have our own ideas about how life should go. It’s easy to go along with everyone else and try to assimilate into the expected norm.  But we deserve to be ourselves and can remember what we really want and where we want to go.  Life is an incredible blessing.  Living our lives authentically and doing what is most important to us, even if it’s different from those around us, will bring us happiness.  We have everything we need to find satisfaction and happiness in our lives.  Being true to who we and remembering what we want will take us there.

When we need to drive from one place to another and we’re in a hurry, a nice paved super highway is a good idea.  There are no stoplights to impede our progress and the roads are straight and clean, making the journey easy and quick.  If we need to accomplish something quickly, we may choose to simply go along with everyone else in an effort to get the job done as fast and efficiently as possible.  That’s fine when all we want is to reach the goal.  But if we want our views heard, our ideas are important, and we can slow things down, speak up, and choose what’s best for us.

There may be someone in our lives we are very attracted to, or admire very much, and their ideas and opinions are important to us.  We may bend our personal needs and preferences to accommodate them and adopt their ideas in order to get close to them.  Letting go of our own choices are might work for a time but we cannot keep who we are boxed in forever.  We need to be free to express ourselves genuinely and remember what’s important to us.  We have gifts to offer that no one else possesses and we may offer them openly and with confidence.  When we are true to ourselves we will find success and happiness.
