In the Balance

19 Nov

Life is filled with all kinds of activity. We’re often busy and as we rush from one task to the next, our days fly by and before we know it another week has passed. It’s great to be engaged and contributing to the world around us, but as we move along focusing on what must be done, it’s easy to get caught up and lose touch with what’s most important. To accomplish all the responsibilities before us and manage everything expected of us, we sometimes have to juggle to find any sort of balance. We move one thing aside to allow for something more important to enter the picture. Finding ways to balance everything can get complicated and stressful. If we want to reach success and hold onto our personal happiness, we must find balance in our lives. Personal balance helps us stay connected to what matters most, and stand strong when the wind begins to blow and things get complicated. But finding a way to maintain it when there are things pressing on us and pushing us one way and another isn’t always easy. The world and those around us may make demands on us, and we always have pressing responsibilities that need our attention. No matter how much is in the way, or how much we have to do, we can take the time we need to center our thoughts and plan the way ahead to confidently manage whatever we must and still have time for ourselves. We are the most important person in our lives. If we fall down, nothing will be accomplished. Taking care of ourselves is the best gift we can offer. When we’re strong and focused, we can find harmony between our needs and responsibilities, and reach any destination. We are powerful and strong, and nothing is too difficult for us to manage. We can keep our eyes trained on the goal ahead and balance our efforts to reach success.

When we feel unsure about the road ahead, we may lean on someone else’s understanding and knowledge. It’s good to reach out when we need help, but when we lean on others, it’s impossible to stand on our own. Leaning on someone else may help for a time, but eventually we’ll need to move forward. We can take any advice that helps us and then trust ourselves to find the way ahead. We already know what we want to do, and have everything we need to accomplish it.

When we’re in stressful situations and there are a lot of factors in play, it can be hard to find stability and balance. When there’s a lot of noise, and many people and ideas involved, finding clarity can be difficult. We can step back and take time to see everything objectively, and then with determination and confidence, decide on the best way forward. We are intelligent and capable, and nothing is too complex for us to unravel. We can be confident and positive we will find all the answers we need, and step forward with certainty that we will succeed.

Today if you’re confused about a situation before you and aren’t sure how to proceed, take the time you need to see everything clearly. You know what you want and where you want to go. Look at all the options before you and choose the best road ahead. Every answer you need is there, and nothing can keep you from success.

Magic Lamp

7 Sep

We go through countless experiences as we move forward and each one teaches us something and changes us in some way. Despite the constant adjustments, we may find ourselves in a routine that is predictable and uninspiring. It’s easy to do the same things every day. There is comfort in knowing what to expect and over time we may become lazy and instead of looking for new opportunities, simply go through the motions of what we already know. But if we decide we want more or something different we can have it. We can think about achieving what we really want but thinking and dreaming will not make the change come to us. If we want something different, we actually have to do things differently. We can do anything we choose but it’s unlikely what we want most will simply come because we desire it. There is no magic lamp that will make it appear. If we want a change in our lives we must do things differently and move in a new direction. We are brave enough to let go of what we know and reach for something new. The whole world belongs to us and there isn’t anything we can’t accomplish. We can decide what we really want and then do what is needed to achieve it. Our lives can be fulfilling, exciting, and joyful as we stretch beyond where we are to where we want to go. Nothing is out of reach.

Some people bemoan their lot in life. There may be a relationship that doesn’t work, a job that is unsatisfying, a family situation that is difficult or a thousand other issues that are stressful or bothersome. We can complain all we want about where we are but complaining will never change the situation. If we’re unhappy we can do what is needed to create a better plan going forward. We deserve to be happy and joyful in our lives. Every day is a blessing and we don’t need to waste time in situations that don’t embellish us. We can change our circumstance and create the lives we want the most. Everything is available to us and we can have it.

Change can be daunting and we may hesitate even if we really want something new. Nobody knows what the future will bring and it can be unnerving to step into the unknown. But unknown territory is just someplace we haven’t been. We have enough courage to open a new door and see what’s behind it. No matter what we face we are smart enough to find our way through. Every road is open to us and there isn’t anything we can’t accomplish. We can start with one step, and then take another. As we push forward our lives will change, our experiences will grow, and we’ll become the person we most want to be. We can have the lives we dream about. There is nothing standing in our way.

Today if you want a change but aren’t sure, take the first step. You can have the life you dream of. There isn’t anything you can’t do and no place too far to reach. Take one step and then take another. Design the future you want the most. It’s all there for you and nothing will keep you from it.

Square One

13 Nov

When we’re working on something, or trying to move forward with a situation in our lives, we try to choose the best course. But sometimes after we’ve been at it for a while we find we’re in the wrong place, and what we’ve been doing isn’t working. And then we have to stop, and rethink the situation. It can feel defeating to discover we are back at square one again, and we have to start over realizing all the progress we thought we were making was an illusion. We need to regroup and reconsider where to go from here. Being at square one after we’ve been working to move forward can feel like failure, but there is sometimes no way to see where we’re going until we get there. Choosing the wrong path doesn’t mean we’ve failed. It means we tried one option that didn’t work. Returning to the beginning again isn’t always a step backward. Sometimes it’s the next step forward. We’ve discovered what doesn’t work and are wiser from the experience. Now we can choose again knowing more than we knew before.

Nobody can tell the future and there is no way to know how things will develop. Even if we try to consider all the possible complications that may occur, there is bound to be one we didn’t see. All we can do is use the information we have to formulate our best plan and go forward. When that doesn’t work, we have to try again. We never fail when we keep trying, but only if we stop and give up. Some things work out the first time, but often when we’re trying to learn new things, accomplish something complicated, or correct our path, it takes a few attempts before we figure things out. We learn as we go and each experience gives us valuable information to use going forward.

The expectations of others sometimes create stress as we are trying to find our way. There may be some who expect us to get everything right the first time, or some who are impatient with how long it takes us to get the job done. But we are all different, and we process things differently. We can take a little more time if we need to, and we can try a few different roads until we succeed. When we do things our way we’ll find what works and we will succeed. We are capable of figuring out any problem or situation that comes to us. Returning to square one will enable us to reevaluate, and use the new information we have to determine the best way forward.

Today if what you’ve been doing isn’t working, you can change your course. Start over, rethink the situation, and look at it again with all the information you have. You will find your way and you’ll be successful. Returning to square one is not failure. It’s the chance to begin again. Use it to define what will work and you’ll succeed.
