Everyone Else

27 Feb

We live in a time bombarded with information. With a single touch we can open ports to endless facts, opinions, and unlimited ideas about every possible subject. It’s good to be able to find data and clues when we need them, but it’s possible to get overloaded and distracted when there is so much available. We can read unending comments and opinions from people we don’t know and probably will never meet, and if we want to, could spend all our time learning about everyone else’s ideas and thoughts. If we constantly tune into what others are saying, and spend our time reading about what they think and what they’re doing, it may leave little time for us to actually live our own lives. We can’t be in two places at the same time. If we spend hours reading about others and their lives, we lose the opportunity to get up and live our own. We can’t focus on our own personal desires and goals while we’re reading about someone else’s. Our lives are important and priceless, and deserve our attention. There are endless goals we can achieve, and incredible destinations waiting for us. We can take control, monitor our time with everyone else, and ensure we do what’s most important to us. We can have the lives we dream about if we plan for them and then do what is needed to achieve them. Instead of focusing on all the interesting things others are doing, we can turn our sights forward toward the goals we most want to achieve. There is great happiness ahead and nothing can hold us in place. All our dreams are possible and we can do anything.

Notoriety can give a false sense of importance. Just because someone is well-known or famous doesn’t necessarily mean their opinions and ideas are germane to our lives. Everyone has their own version of how they think life should go, and there is not one perfect way to live. A big microphone allows people to share their voice with many others, but it doesn’t mean they have all the answers. We can listen to any advice given, and then choose our own way forward. We know what we want and where we want to go. We can trust ourselves to find the best road ahead toward the destinations we desire most.

Our personal perceptions of life reflect the experiences we’ve had and the understanding we’ve gained about the world around us. Therefore, one person’s interpretation about how things are will be different from someone else’s. Differences don’t mean one is right and one is wrong. There are endless ways to view the same ideas and situations. All have value, and express our individualism. We can choose the kind of lives we want, and then make decisions that bring them to us. Every opportunity is there for us, and everything is possible. We can go anywhere and do anything, and with determination will reach success.

Today if you’ve been listening to everyone else’s ideas about what you should do and how you should live, trust yourself. You already know what you want, and have everything you need to achieve it. Every road is there for you and you can do anything. Decide what you want, and then go get it. Success is waiting, and you will reach it.

The Name Game

18 Feb

The world is full of names and labels that help us understand what things are and what we’re dealing with. Although they can be helpful, they can also be misleading. After all, we can call anything we want by any name we desire, and if we want to mask something undesirable, can deflect away from any negative influence. We may see this in advertising campaigns. Sales won’t increase if problems and complications are highlighted, and renaming them in ways that make them seem acceptable can help disguise them. We might do the same in our lives. For instance, instead of saying someone is mean and rude, we might simply say they are challenging and intense. Learning to label things in ways that make them seem easier may help us in some situations, but like all things, there will be two sides to the coin. Truth is truth and no matter how we try to manipulate it or color it to look like something else, will remain. It’s important to be honest in all our dealings. Difficult and unpleasant situations will remain no matter what we call them, so it’s best to simply state things as they really are. We are capable of facing any complication and managing any problem, no matter how convoluted or intense. We can see and accept things as they really are, and proceed with confidence that we’ll find our way through. We have all the wisdom and intellect we need to travel any road ahead, and every destination is possible. With clarity and confidence, we will succeed.

If we don’t like something in our lives, where we live, the job we have, or some other situation that may be embarrassing or in some way makes us feel uncomfortable, we might pretend things are different and simply use terms that aren’t exactly clear when we talk about them. We don’t ever have to tell others more than we’re comfortable with, and saying things that aren’t exactly true may bring unexpected and unwanted complications. Instead of making up a story that veers away from the truth, it’s better to simply say nothing. We’re in control of our lives and don’t have to share anything we don’t want to. We can be honest and still keep private information to ourselves.

When we’re dealing with others it’s important to be completely honest. Trying to influence someone by glossing over the truth or describing something in ways that divert what’s real may work at first, but in time, the whole story will be revealed. Things aren’t always easy but no matter what the situation is, we can face it openly and with complete clarity. We can handle anything just the way it is. We are competent and capable, and nothing can stand in our way.

Today if you’re dealing with an unpleasant situation, tell the complete truth. Be honest about what’s happening and step forward with confidence. There isn’t anything too difficult for you to manage and manage well. The truth will pave the way forward, and you will reach your destination. Be confident and clear. You are amazing and nothing can keep you from success.

Keys

14 Feb

Our personalities are rich with expression and varied in how we interpret and manifest information as we move along. Nobody is completely the same all the time. We feel things differently depending on what’s going on around us and who is involved. Every day brings a new situation and we sometimes have to work hard to figure out what to do next. When we need to unlock something to get in, we may reach for our personal key ring. We might have many different keys to choose from, and in each instance must choose the specific one that opens the door we need. We may have a key for our car, our home, our office, the backdoor, maybe a shed or storage area, or many other options. They might look alike but each represents a unique opportunity to unlock the way ahead. Like the keys on our key ring, we have different personal interpretations and expressions for each situation we experience. Maybe we need our wisdom key for a particular problem, or our patience key when things get intense. We might use compassion to open the way to dialog for someone who is suffering, or simply take out the one that unlocks understanding. Each key we possess opens something new and teaches us more about the world around us. Everything we do tells the world who we are. When we use our keys appropriately in the right situations, the road ahead is often easier than if we mix them up. If we use force when endurance is needed, or leisure when we need to work, we might end up somewhere we didn’t intend to go. Learning how to manifest the right options when opportunities present themselves will move us forward toward the goals we’re seeking. We are wise and intelligent, and can find the keys that open any door ahead. Every goal is possible, and we are smart enough, and strong enough to reach them.

Every day things change and it’s impossible to know what will happen next. We learn new skills with each experience and carry all that information with us moving forward. When things go wrong or what we’re trying to accomplish gets stuck, it doesn’t mean we can’t get to the goal. It just means that for now, we don’t have the key to open this particular door. There are many roads to every destination, and we can turn in another direction and find the way ahead.

Like skeleton keys that open many doors, kindness and consideration can pave the way ahead, no matter what’s in the way. Few things make a situation better than a kind word, or a patient attitude. We can be open to new ideas and patiently work through any problems or issues that arise, confident that no matter what happens, we will reach the destination. We are capable of managing any complication, and with focus and determination, can reach any goal.

Today if you’re not sure you have all the keys you need to open the doors ahead, trust yourself. You are more capable than you realize. Every dream is possible, and you already possess everything you need to win. Be confident and step forward. Nothing can keep you from the goal, and you will reach great success.

Believe Me

13 Feb

Life is filled with all kinds of experiences. If we make a bad decision and create a big mess, we may be embarrassed and try to do something, anything to get out of it. Everyone gets tangled up from time to time, and if we’re wise, when we bungle something, we can admit the error and then do what’s needed to correct the situation. But if we want to hide what’s happened, we may choose to lie about it instead. If those around us don’t believe us at first, we may lie again, louder and with more passion, hoping that somehow, the ruse will prevail. Holding onto a lie and refusing to admit the truth changes nothing. It only prolongs the agony and stress of the situation. Truth is the most powerful thing in life and will always rise. Trying to hide it, change it, or deflect away from it may work in the short term, but in time, everything will be revealed. And when all the facts are evident, we will be accountable not only for the original error, but the dishonesty we displayed after the fact. We are what we do, and those around us will decide if they can trust us by the decisions we make. If we try to manipulate the truth and deceive them moving forward, it will be difficult to make strong and lasting connections with those around us. Things are going to go wrong from time to time. We’re going to make mistakes. It’s the nature of life. We can stand strong even when we falter, admit what’s happened, and work to fix any developing problems. There is enough courage and wisdom inside us to find the best way forward. By trusting ourselves, and those around us, we can proceed with clarity and confidence that we will succeed.

It’s possible to fool others from time to time. We can tell half-truths that advance our cause, and when things are going wrong, keep secrets about what’s really happening. In an effort to look more successful, we can tell only the good parts of the story and keep the problems to ourselves. We’re entitled to privacy regarding our personal lives, but if others are involved, it’s important to be completely truthful about everything. Sometimes there will be problems but they don’t mean we aren’t capable. Every goal is possible, even if the road to get there is filled with trouble and complications. We are strong and powerful, and can accomplish anything we desire.

Life is all about learning. We can only know the information that’s available to us at any time. If things change and the road we’re on gets blocked, we can change direction and start again. Every step teaches us something new and we take all the facts we gain as we progress forward with us. Making a mistake teaches us what doesn’t work, and helps us find success. We can trust ourselves to choose wisely and in time, reach every destination.

Today if you’re embarrassed by a mistake you’ve made and want to hide it from those around you, be confident. Nobody is perfect and mistakes do not define you. Admit the error and then do what is needed to correct the way forward. There is greatness inside you. Step forward with clarity and confidence. You are amazing, and nothing will keep you from success.

Defined by the End

6 Feb

Life is long and we accomplish many things as we move forward. Being in control of our lives helps us reach any destination we desire. If we want something difficult to achieve, and the road is hard and filled with detours and complications, despite our efforts it may feel like we aren’t getting anywhere. Long roads can be exhausting, and if we think nothing counts until we reach the very end, we may start to waver. But success isn’t defined by the end of any journey. Every step we take that moves us forward brings it. The progress we make, even if it’s minuscule, is a marker of success. It’s always exciting to reach the end of a long and arduous road and claim the prize, but that alone does not define us. Our personal success is displayed every time we push through trouble and solve another problem in order to move ahead. The strength we gain as we struggle, the wisdom we realize as we find answers along the way, and the courage we demonstrate as we continue forward make us who we are. We are successful as long as we keep moving ahead. Every particle of progress is an accomplishment. Each step forward we take exhibits success. Our determination to stay the course brings us great confidence, and we learn more about ourselves as we move forward. We are enriched by the answers we find, and fortified when another door opens and we can advance. Everything we need to know we learn on the journey. We are strong and powerful, and every goal we desire can be achieved. Learning to appreciate what the road to get there gives us, will bring great satisfaction and fulfillment.

It’s possible to push through a long, hard road and never reach the goal. Sometimes things change after we start, sometimes the goal isn’t possible at this time, and sometimes there are so many complications we simply cannot advance. That doesn’t mean all our efforts are wasted. Everything we do teaches us something of value. Facing trouble and trying to find answers gives us insight and opens new ideas. We gain information and experience in every effort. If we can’t overcome everything now, when things change, what we’ve learned so far will help us start again.

There is no way to know at the beginning where a road will lead us. We can plan well, and try to get all the information possible before we start, but there is no way to predict how things will develop or what will happen. Unexpected complications will always arise and we’ll be able to overcome many of them. If we get stuck, we have all the wisdom and intelligence we need to find our way through. Focusing on the goal is important, but appreciating everything we’re learning along the way will enrich and empower us. We are incredibly capable and wise, and can carry all the wisdom we gain forward.

Today if you’re only focused on the end of the road, think about everything you’re learning as you push ahead. You are gaining important and impressive skills. Use them to enhance your journey. There are many blessings to be found in the struggle. Acknowledge and embrace them. You are amazing, and every dream is possible.
