End of the Road

15 Nov

We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives.  Every decision has a result and takes us somewhere.  Sometimes those destinations and consequences are exactly what we’re hoping for, and other times we may end up somewhere we don’t want to be.  It’s sometimes easy to see where the road before us is headed and may be obvious which way we should go.  But roads aren’t always straight and where they lead may be difficult to see from the beginning.  We can objectively look at them and try to discern where they are headed to make the best choice going forward.  If we’re in a hurry to decide or feel pressure to choose we may begin forward without taking the time we need to be sure of where we’re going.  If we’re angry and impetuous we might choose a direction without thought and end up somewhere we never wanted to go.  Every decision has a result and we are accountable for every destination we reach.  What we do today may have an intense impact on what we face tomorrow.  It’s important to take the time we need to evaluate all the options before us and make sure we choose roads that will take us where we really want to go.  All our dreams can come true if we plan for them and prepare the way forward.  If we’re not getting closer to the goals we desire we can change our course and redirect the way forward.  We are in control of our lives and every choice we make designs the lives we have.  It’s all up to us and with careful thought we can go anywhere we desire and make all our dreams come true.

We all face times of conflict when situations don’t go well and we may feel angry or upset.  If we act in ways that bring disharmony, the ramifications of our behavior may impact the days ahead.  If we are rude and mean to those around us we may find ourselves alone when we need support.  If we are manipulative and dishonest others will learn they cannot trust us, and it may be difficult to build relationships.  We can do things that bring us loneliness and sorrow, or companionship and happiness.  Everything we do has a consequence and if we’re careful and thoughtful those consequences will be exactly what we’re hoping for.

The decisions of those around us may impact our lives unexpectedly.  Someone near us may make a choice that brings problems to everyone around them.  We interact with others but can only control the decisions we make.  If we must endure negative consequences because of situations out of our control we can walk through them with confidence staying true to our personal values.  We can clear the way forward step by step and adjust our trajectory toward the direction we want to go.

Today if you’re dealing with complications from decisions you’ve made in the past and are unhappy with where you are, take the time you need to determine how to move forward.  Decide where you want to go and make decisions that will take you closer as you move ahead.  Every destination is reachable and you can do anything you desire.  Create the life you want the most and you’ll find every happiness you seek.  You can accomplish anything.  Go forward with confidence and clarity, and you’ll reach every goal.

Around and Around

14 Nov

As we set goals and decide how we want to move forward, it’s wise to objectively look at what must be accomplished in order to succeed. There may be many things we need to do to move us ahead. Perhaps we must go somewhere new, or meet with others who will give us necessary information, or we may need to change something within ourselves in order to progress. Doing external things may take time but they are generally easier than changing something in our personal behaviors and choices. Change is rarely easy and often takes serious thought and commitment to achieve. If we aren’t sure we can do what is needed, we may decide to simply work with what we have instead. That might be enough for a time but if we really must change something in order to succeed it will only delay our progress. We can go around and around the issue indefinitely but if the only way forward requires change, until we do what is needed to make that happen, we may stand still. Even if we’re clear on where we want to go, if we haven’t done what is required to reach the destination we may find ourselves running in place. There isn’t any goal we can’t reach and we can do anything we desire. We have all the wisdom and courage needed to ensure our success. The world is open to us and we can do what is required to move forward and overcome any obstacle in our path.

It’s good to be creative. We can look at situations in different ways and use alternative methods to solve problems. Often there are many ways to resolve issues and we can discover and create new solutions in each case. However, if there is only one way to move forward and it requires a change within ourselves we may need to consider our options. We can look at what is required and then decide if the goal is worth the effort. Personal change takes time and concentration. If the destination is important to us we can do whatever is needed to reach it. Nothing will stop us if we are determined to succeed.

We can never fool ourselves into success. Pretending will never get us to the goal. If we don’t want to do what we must to succeed, we can make excuses for the lack of progress and try to explain why things haven’t worked out. But all the excuses in the world will never be enough to compensate for failure to move forward. If we don’t want the goal we can let it go, but if it’s valuable to us we must do what is needed to achieve it. We can do anything we desire and success is always there for us. We can take charge of any situation, accomplish what must be done, and find success. Once we decide we will win nothing will stop us.

Today if you’ve been going around and around trying to make things work without doing what is needed to move forward, decide what you really want. You have all the wisdom and determination you need to do anything. Choose the way forward and do what is needed to succeed. Everything is available to you and nothing is out of reach. Be confident. The world is yours to conquer and you will win.

Accomplished

6 Nov

We meet all kinds of people as we go through our lives.  Some of them share common traits with us and others are very different.  We all define success in unique ways and accomplish many different things as we navigate forward.  Sometimes if we meet new people who have achieved great and impressive goals we may feel our lives are small in comparison.  We may look at ourselves compared to them and believe we haven’t done enough or our contributions are in some way less valuable.  None of us will have identical experiences and we all move in different ways on the roads we have chosen.  When we see the success others have achieved we may think our successes aren’t as important or are somehow beneath them.  It’s easy to believe we haven’t done enough when we compare ourselves to others we admire but every achievement no matter how small has value.  Every single step we take forward is an important success.  If we’re on the road we want to be on and headed in the direction we want to go we are successful.  The world’s ideas of success mean nothing.  We define our personal success by the standards we set for ourselves.  Maybe we haven’t published a book, run a marathon, or built a corporation.  But if what we’ve done has brought us satisfaction and happiness, we are successful.  Nothing can compare to the joy we find when we accomplish something we truly desire, no matter if others notice or not.  We are defined by our own standards.  Our lives are valuable and important and our contributions count.  Everything we do makes an impact and we are an integral part of the world around us.

Fame and fortune are big and spectacular.  We see it splashed across headlines, the covers of magazines and those who enjoy it get a lot of attention.  If we get caught up in what others think we should achieve and aren’t on those roads, we may believe we are failures.  If we haven’t earned a lot of money, or done anything sensational and noteworthy to those around us, we might think our lives are inconsequential and meaningless.  But every life has value.  Every one of us plays a role in the history of the world.  Every decision we make brings a result that affects the situation around us.  We fill an emptiness the world would experience without us.

We define our lives and design them in ways that bring us happiness and satisfaction.  What we value may not be what others find important.  Our goals are unique to what we want to accomplish.  We need not define our personal success by the parameters the world sets.  Our happiness is achieved when we do what is most important to us and takes us where we want to go.  The world belongs to us and we may define it according to our unique standards and desires.

Today if you’ve been comparing yourself to the successes of those around you and feel you haven’t accomplished enough, remember your life is yours to define.  You decide what your personal success looks like.  You are important and the world needs your influence.  Be yourself and be confident.  You have so much to offer and we’re all lucky you’re here.

False Prophets

2 Nov

As we go through our lives we have many destinations we want to reach.  Everything is possible and if we need assistance can seek the help and guidance of others.  There are likely many people around us willing to offer advice and information as we move forward.  Sometimes we take their counsel, and other times we may review their input and then continue on in our own way.  Although most people are good and will help us find the right way forward, there are some with personal agendas who may tell us to do something that will serve them in some way and keep us from progressing.  We don’t always know the motivations of others and like false prophets some may tell us to do things that instead of success bring us hardship and confusion.  Although they may appear to be our allies at first, if they are leading us astray the truth will rise and in time we will see things as they truly are.  It’s good to trust others and believe in them but not everyone is worthy of that trust.  We are wise and capable, and if we discover our trust has been abused we can turn another way and redirect our path forward.  If we follow someone else and discover they are taking us in the wrong direction we can step aside and start again.  We know what we want to do and where we want to go.  We have all we need to discern truth and find the right road.  Every destination is available to us and with careful determination we will reach any goal we desire.  There is nothing we can’t accomplish.  Finding the right road forward will help us achieve what we are seeking and bring us success.

We may face a time when someone in our circle who does not want us to succeed.  Perhaps they are intimidated by our accomplishments, or don’t have the courage to move forward themselves and want others to stay behind with them.  They may offer advice that will confound our efforts or suggest we are going the wrong way as we approach our goal.  We may listen to their comments and advice, and then let it go.  Our lives are ours to design and we know exactly what we want to do.  No matter what others want for us or where they think we should put our efforts we can continue forward according to our personal desires.

There is an old saying that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.  Everyone has their own ideas about how to define success.  If we want to do something that others do not value they may try to adjust our focus and pull us off track.  We are all in control of our lives and can live them any way we choose.  Our perception of what personal success looks like is unique to us.  We don’t need the approval of others to do what we want to do most.  Every opportunity is there for us and we can move forward on the roads that will take us where we want to go.  We are strong and intelligent, and we know what we want.  We can do anything and find success.

Today if you’ve been following the advice of someone else and find you are not getting closer to your goal, redirect your course according to your personal desires.  Be confident and sure.  Everything is there for you.  You know what you want and you know how to get it.  You can do anything.

Standing Alone

23 Oct

Most of us are born into some kind of family unit, often with others around us much of the time.  As we grow we learn from watching them, talking to them, and living our lives alongside them.  As adults we may have large groups of people we communicate with every day or small gatherings where we share our lives.  We may become partners, friends and companions, or make different types of connections to those around us.  As children, if we’ve had a strong family experience, we may believe that everyone in the world will help us and guide us along as we grow.  When we first step into adulthood we soon realize we are the only ones really looking out for us and our successes depend solely on our personal determination and direction. No matter how close our ties are, and no matter how many connections we make we are independently living our lives.  Nobody can live our lives for us and we stand alone in every choice we make.  We choose our own way forward every day.  We are strong and powerful and no matter where we are or what is going on we have everything we need to manage our lives effectively.  There isn’t a problem too complex for us to solve and even in the most difficult of times we will find our way through.  We stand alone with every decision but standing alone isn’t a deterrent.  It allows us to independently choose our own path and reach any destination we desire.

Some people like to have others around them all the time.  They like to engage them with every decision they make and feel more confident if someone else helps them make choices.  While it’s helpful to get advice when we need it, if we rely on others to help us make every decision we may forget we have everything we need already to choose wisely.  We know what we want and can confidently determine what we want to do and where we want to go.  We can be sure of our ability to make excellent decisions and move forward toward success.

Understanding that we are ultimately living our lives independently doesn’t mean we don’t need or want others around us.  It’s good to make connections and build relationships that make life more enjoyable.  We can share our lives as much as we like and allow others to get close.  Being able to make decisions on our own and respect our personal self-reliance doesn’t preclude us from allowing others to connect with us.  We can be part of a group and still maintain our personal autonomy.  We can be strong standing alone even when we stand side by side.  Our lives belong to us and we own every decision we make.  We can be strong, wise, careful and confident.  The world is ours for the taking and success is always there for us.  There isn’t anything we can’t do and do well.

Today if you’ve been leaning on others to help you make decisions, remember how strong and capable you are.  You already know what you want and have everything you need to find success.  There is greatness in you.  Nothing will stop you from winning.  Stand strong and go forward with confidence.  The road ahead is there for you and you will reach every destination.
