Behind the Scenes

Our lives are complex and filled with endless decisions. Every day brings something new and whatever we choose will bring some kind of result. If we’re intent on staying the course moving ahead, and make choices that push us forward, we’ll continue to advance. But there are few times when everything is black or white and easy to see. Many times our decisions may be influenced by what’s happening around us, how we feel, who’s involved and dozens of other factors. Although we may try to be honest in all our dealings, we may face a time when we decide to step off center and do something behind the scenes that will make the road easier. Maybe we fabricate a story that makes us look better, or we bribe someone to say or do something that opens a door we want to go through. Our ethical standards and choices tell the world and those around us who we are. If we fall prey to situational ethics – meaning the situation instead of our standards decide what we’ll do – we may open all kinds of new risks to our project, ourselves, and our integrity. If the goal is very important, we may think it’s worth the tradeoff when we start, but there is no way to see the end or any road from the beginning. One left turn may take us completely off course, or bring more trouble and discord than we expect. It’s not always easy to make the best choices, and sometimes doing something less than honest that appears to pave the way ahead looks very appealing. We must decide what we want the most. Is the goal really worth selling out to get it? Will the reward be worth the cost? Only we can make these decisions, but one thing is certain. When we choose the first step on any path, we are also choosing the last. Choosing the roads that will take us to the destinations we most desire and enhance our credibility and true character will always bring success. We have greatness inside us, and with wisdom and clarity, we can share it with the world.

There are lots of people willing to do whatever it takes to reach a goal. They will manipulate, lie, steal, coerce, whatever is needed to make it happen. They don’t care who they hurt or how much damage they do. Their devious and unethical behaviors may bring them great success, and lots of money, but none of it will augment their character or make them better people. It’s easy to cheat and manipulate to get our way, but nothing can compare to the nobility of true honesty and integrity.

Our lives are ours to design and we can do anything we like. If we don’t care about ethics or morality, there will be lots of opportunities to get what we want without them. However, true happiness comes when we choose what we know is best and hold fast to our personal standards. Not every destination will be easy to reach, but by keeping our eyes on the goal and continuing forward, we can go anywhere and do anything. Nothing is out of reach and every success is possible.

Today if there’s a chance to do something untoward that will make your journey easier, think carefully about the person you most want to be. You have so much to offer and all the wisdom and intelligence you need to accomplish anything you desire. Trust yourself. There isn’t anything too difficult for you. You are amazing and capable, and have everything you need to succeed. Show us your best, and be confident. There is great success just ahead, and you will reach it.

Accepting

Life is filled with possibilities and opportunities to do just about anything we want. We can decide on a goal and then plan to do what’s needed to make it ours. It sounds simple enough, but sometimes it doesn’t exactly go that way. Even if we want something very much, we may get sidetracked and distracted on our way to achieving it. Everything we want requires something from us – our time, our focus, our diligence and attention. If we step away again and again, as time goes by, we might begin to believe we’ll never succeed. Maybe we haven’t lost that weight we’ve wanted to, or gone back to school like we planned. Maybe we didn’t work as hard as we could have and missed a promotion, or haven’t taken that vacation we’ve been dreaming about. Life is busy and full of unexpected developments. If we let all the details and distractions get in the way, it will be hard to stay focused on the goal. We’re in control of our lives and can do anything we desire, but if we want to accomplish the things that mean the most, we have to make them a priority. There will always be complications and unforeseen problems to muck up the works. We can deal with them as they arise. We don’t have to let them push us off the road we’re on. We can accept the situation as it is, stand firm, hold tight to the goals we’ve chosen, and continue forward. We may face times when because of circumstance our progress is very slow. It can be discouraging when we can’t move ahead but there is no rush. As long as we keep moving forward, we will reach the destination we seek. Every dream is possible and nothing is too far to reach. With determination and patience, we will prevail.

We may not be where we want to be right now, but there are great blessings possible in every situation. Accepting ourselves as we are now, and deciding what we want to do next will give us the confidence we need to move toward the goals we most desire. We are incredibly capable and nothing is too difficult or challenging for us to manage. Each step forward will take us closer to where we want to be, and as we move ahead, we’ll gain greater clarity and focus. We can accomplish anything we desire. Every dream is possible, and we can make them ours.

Every choice we’ve made so far has brought us to where we are. If we want something different, we can always change direction and choose something new. There are endless options possible, and we can achieve anything. It doesn’t matter if it’s difficult, we will manage. It doesn’t matter if it will take a long time, we can be patient. We deserve complete happiness and choosing to do what we want the most will bring it to us. Success is there for us. We need only step forward and claim it.

Today if you’re disappointed because you haven’t accomplished something, think about what you want the most. There isn’t anything you can’t do. Make a plan and step forward toward the goal. Every destination is there for you, and nothing can keep you from anything you desire. Be strong and confident. You will succeed.

Under Fire

Every person in the world has their own perspective and ideas about how things should go. There is nobody exactly like us and with all these differences there’s bound to be conflict from time to time. If we feel strongly about something and others disagree, we may face a difficult situation filled with emotion and intensity. Sometimes the lines between right and wrong are obvious and everyone agrees on the limits. But most of the time, the options are flexible and will bend depending on what we want to accomplish and who we’re dealing with. If there are several others on one page and we’re on another, there may be a strong campaign to get us to change. We can always alter any views we like, but if we feel intensely about our position, we may hold fast to it and push ahead despite the opposition. When we’re on the outside of the prevailing viewpoint and want something different, we may find ourselves under fire. If we’re being criticized, ridiculed or denounced, it may be very hard to keep our composure and maintain our self-control. Of course, we always have the right to stand and defend our position and if we’re being unfairly treated can return equal fire. But screaming back and getting into an altercation will never help us settle the situation. We can keep our resolve, agree to disagree, and move forward on our own road. We have the right to live our lives any way we choose, even if it means going against everyone else. We don’t need agreement or permission to do things our way. If others disagree, they can deal with that. Our lives are ours to design and we can live them in ways that bring us complete satisfaction and happiness. Nothing is out of reach, and we can make our dreams reality.

Conformity is easy to manage. If everyone does the same things, we all know what to expect and there are few surprises. But conformity often requires us to go along with someone else’s ideas about life and when we sacrifice who we are and what we want, we can never reach our own goals. Our lives are important. We have unique and exclusive talents to bring and specific things we want to accomplish. We never have to trade what we want most to get along. We can live our lives individually and honestly, and reach any destination we desire.

We all want to get along with those around us and live a peaceful existence. If we’re under fire for a decision we’re making, we may be uncomfortable. We can always abandon our views and agree to do what everyone else wants, but if we give up on our dreams, we will never achieve them. We deserve complete happiness and by holding fast to what is important and choosing our own destinations, we will create the life we want the most. Every dream is possible and with determination and focus, we can make them ours.

Today if those around you are trying to convince you to go their way, but you have something else in mind, stay to true to what you want. Your life is important and you can choose your own way forward. Be confident and step forward with clarity. You are amazing and capable, and all your dreams are possible.

Deserving It

Life is filled with surprises and uncertainty. We don’t have any control over what comes to us or what others are doing, but we always have control over our own decisions and choices. We can decide what we want, with whom we’ll associate, and where we want to go. Sometimes things will go exactly the way we want them to, and other times we’ll face trials and struggles that challenge us and make the road ahead difficult. When things are going wrong and nothing seems to work, we may wonder what we did to deserve this. Is it possible we caused all this heartache to come upon us? Our decisions always have consequences and there will probably be times when a choice we make takes us somewhere uncomfortable, but often when hard times come, they are the result of a thousand different things over which we had no control. Nobody wants to suffer but trouble will come to us all. We can’t possibly make enough mistakes to deserve every problem that comes our way. We don’t deserve to struggle – it’s just part of life. What we do deserve and can achieve is complete happiness. We can make excellent decisions and choose the roads that take us where we most want to go. There is great satisfaction in being in control of our lives and making choices that move us closer to our goals. Even when things fall apart and everything is upside down, we can be calm and confident that we will prevail, and find the answers we need. They will always be there for us and we have all the wisdom and courage to do what is needed to find them and solve any problem we encounter. Life is uncertain but we can be confident that no matter what comes, we will prevail. We deserve the very best life has to offer, and with patience and determination, will get it.

Our relationships are important to us and when they are positive and beneficial, bring us great peace and comfort. However, we may have a relationship that works against us, and causes pain and hardship. Our lives are ours to design and we never have to stay in situations that bring us pain and sorrow. If our association is keeping us from fulfilling our dreams or causing us serious duress, we can step away. If we are connected by family or professional ties, we can alter the way we interact so that we are comfortable and able to move forward.

We are all unique and have special gifts to offer the world. Nobody can take our place or offer the blessings we have. If our lives aren’t where we want them or we’re headed toward something we don’t desire, we can stop and re-evaluate the way forward. We deserve every dream we choose. There is a road to every destination we want, and we can change course and begin toward them at any time. Every happiness is possible and we have everything we need to find success.

Today if you’re struggling and the dreams you desire seem far away, remember how strong and powerful you are. There isn’t anything you can’t do. You deserve the very best life has to offer and every happiness can be yours. Be confident and trust yourself. Step onto the roads that will take you to the destinations you want the most. Every dream can come true and nothing is out of reach.

Gaining Wisdom

All the experiences we go through in our lives teach us something.  Some lessons are easy, some are harder and some may be difficult and painful.  We can take everything we learn with us as we move forward and use it to help us understand our lives more fully and the world around us.  Experience is a great teacher but it only benefits us if we are willing to learn the lessons provided and then use them to help us in the future.  Life is funny.  If we don’t learn as we go and embrace the changes growth brings, situations tend to loop back around and we may get the opportunity to go through the same thing again and again until we finally understand what we need to learn.  Intelligence is a great asset but intelligence is not wisdom.  Intelligence signifies how smart we are, but wisdom is what enables us to use our intelligence in ways that benefit us and help us move forward.  We may be very smart but if we don’t use what we’ve learned and incorporate it into our lives, we miss the opportunity to become wise and discriminating.  Wisdom helps us sort out what is real and what is false, and enables us to make better choices and choose the best options.  If we want to be wise we have to pay attention to what we’re learning and incorporate it into our lives.  Sometimes after learning something new we see things in a completely different light.  We may decide we need to change direction to move forward, or change a connection or relationship we see is holding us back.  Wisdom is a beneficial and powerful asset and as we gain it we understand our place in life and how those around us fit into it.  We are capable of greatness and nothing we want to do is out of reach.  Embracing wisdom and using it in all our decisions will help us find great success.

Problems come to all of us and as we find our way through them we have the chance to explore many options.  We can always find the answers we seek, but when our problems are attached to others we’re involved with it can be harder to find our way through.  Emotional attachments can keep us from the best decisions if we’re trying to make everyone happy and keep the peace.  It’s good to be considerate of others and nobody wants to cause pain but sometimes the way forward will not be the easiest path.  We deserve every happiness and with wisdom and patience we can make the best decisions.

If we’ve made a mistake in judgment and it’s taken us somewhere we don’t want to be, we can carefully consider where we want to go and begin forward on the road that will take us there.  No decision is permanent and no matter what we’ve chosen in the past we can change direction at any time.  Great success is always possible and we can re-evaluate our choices and choose the best road going forward.

Today pay attention to the lessons you’re learning and use the knowledge you’re gaining to increase your wisdom.  You have so much to offer and learning to be wise will help you achieve every goal you dream of.  Take your time and travel the roads that will take you exactly where you want to go.  Be wise and choose well.  You are powerful and strong, and have everything you need to find happiness and success.
