Most people are good. They try to be kind, pay their bills on time, do an honest job, and don’t look for ways to cause contention and strife. Although there are varying degrees of goodness, there is nobility in everyone. We all possess the ability to do good in the world. Some people strive to be the best they can be and their contributions are obvious. But if we run into someone who is mean, and rude, who calls us nasty names, or picks on us, it can be hard to see anything good in them or how they are benefitting anyone. They may cover their innate nobility with prejudice, hatred, anger or other displays. Perhaps their lives have been very difficult and they feel persecuted, or someone somewhere hurt them badly, or they just have a terrible attitude. Whatever their reasons for acting out in problematic and damaging ways, their influence can be detrimental and hard to manage. It’s difficult to find anything noble in what they’re doing, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. Keeping something deeply hidden and denying its existence doesn’t make it disappear. It’s still there. It may be tiny and undeveloped, but the potential exists. Potential is powerful, but until it’s realized, and we move closer to excellence, it will lie dormant and wait. We can do anything we like. We can cause trouble, stir up anger, create chaos and make a mess of every situation, but nothing will be gained until we choose to honor the best within us. By choosing the better part of every situation, we will find great satisfaction and success. Every opportunity is there for us, and nothing can keep us from success.

Some people love drama. They embellish situations to create intrigue and distrust, and tell stories that complicate and confuse. They may suffer from low self-esteem and feel powerful when they’ve gained control of a situation and caused things to go awry. It’s perverse to set traps for others and then stand and watch while everything falls apart. We never have to participate in their web of contention and grief. We can step back and look at everything objectively, and then decide how we will proceed.

They say misery loves company. When some people are unhappy, they want everyone around them to be miserable as well. Instead of looking for ways to manage whatever problems they’re facing, they prefer to create scenarios that bring others down with them. Acting out in destructive ways diminishes the goodness that lies within. Being mean to others when we’re suffering will never negate our own experience. No matter what our circumstance is, we can choose to be open, honest and kind, and focus on moving toward resolution and success.

Today if someone is causing trouble and creating distrust, step back and see everything clearly. Goodness and light are there. Look for them, and let them lead you forward. You are amazing and intelligent. Nothing can hold you in place. Be strong, wise and confident, and step forward. All your dreams are possible, and you will succeed.

Exempt

We share the world with billions of other people, and there will always be people coming and going in and out of our lives. They interact with us, work with us, share families with us, or just see us in passing. Everyone is different and we’re all doing different things. In an effort to make things go more smoothly, there are rules for civility and politeness that help us all get along without increasing friction. Most of us try to be pleasant and polite, and don’t get up in other people’s faces just to annoy them. We try to get along and be positive, but there is always the exception. No matter where we are, there may be someone who is rude and difficult, who may make our lives miserable. They have bad manners, interrupt us when we’re speaking, leave a trail of trash behind them, and ignore any suggestions for improvement. They don’t care how they affect others or if they degrade those around them. It’s very hard to deal with people like this. They can complicate our days and when they come around, we may try anything to avoid them. People will do what they will do, but we can hold fast to the standards we set. There will always be many roads to get to our goals, and we can find ways around any problem that arises. We can be polite even if those we encounter are not. The road to success is rarely paved and clear, but we have everything we need to move ahead, no matter what is standing in the way.

Some people are very good at telling others what they should do, how they should act, and where they should go. They constantly preach and pontificate, giving instructions regarding whatever is happening around them. They are great at explaining the rules and demanding compliance, but because they see themselves as set apart on a higher plane, feel they are exempt from following them. They simply do what they want, and expect others to accept it. It is never appropriate to set standards for others we do not intend to follow. We are all part of the whole, and if one must comply, we should all comply.

We are all human beings sharing the planet at the same time. Although some may have fame and fortune, some may have privilege and power, nobody is more worthwhile than anyone else. Our circumstances do not determine our value. We are precious and priceless because we are unique, and there isn’t anyone now, nor has there ever been anyone who can offer the gifts we have to give. We deserve complete happiness, and can do what is necessary to achieve it. Every blessing is there for us, and every dream is possible.

Today if you must deal with someone who is unpleasant and rude, remember how valuable you are. Set the example for excellence and step forward with confidence. You know what you want and nothing is out of reach. Be the best you can be, and every destination will be yours.

Deep

We will face innumerable challenges in our lives. Some trials are seriously hard and there may be times when we don’t believe we’ll survive. Hard times will come, we may face our most dreaded fears, and we may suffer intensely as we try to get through. Nobody can predict what life will bring, and there is no way to see what’s around the next corner. Things may happen we know nothing about that bring us hardship and difficulty. The future is unknown, and our paths may change suddenly and without warning. Although we may feel unsure and threatened, we have already overcome many troublesome and challenging times, and we can be confident we can conquer whatever we must. We have great reserves of courage and stamina within us and when we’re up against harsh and punishing winds, can dig deep and capture them. We may be pushed to our limits, but we will never be so pressed we can’t prevail. We don’t need to cower or surrender to anything. We are stronger and more powerful than we imagine, and no matter what is happening or where we are, we already possess everything needed to succeed. By trusting ourselves, and standing firm, we can continue forward and find every answer. Nothing can stop us or hold us down forever. Every destination is there for us, and we can reach them all.

Some people are very loud and bossy. When they want something, they may try to intimidate us by being forceful and demanding. They can do anything they like, but we are in control of our own lives. If we’re under their authority we may have to comply, but if not, we don’t have to buckle. They may be louder or bigger, or have more power than we do, but we’re in charge of our own decisions and can choose whatever we like. Our lives are ours to design and we can be confident in choosing our own way.

When we’re trying to accomplish a big goal, and we’ve been pushing toward it for a long time, and still the end of the road is far off, we may begin to tire and question our motives. When we’re weary and frustrated, it’s easy to give up. If the goal is important to us, it doesn’t matter how hard it is to achieve or how long it takes. We can manage whatever we must to make it ours. We can dig deep, and confirm our resolve to push forward. Every dream is possible and with determination and focus, we can reach them all.

Today if you’re facing a daunting situation and aren’t sure you can get through, trust yourself. You are mighty and powerful, and nothing is too difficult for you to manage. All the answers you need are already there for you. Stand strong and step forward. Be confident and sure. Success is just ahead, and you will reach it.

Looking Up

Life is full of challenges. We try to plan ahead but we never know what will happen next. Some days everything sails along and we feel fine. Things are going the way we want them to, and we feel confident and settled. But nothing lasts forever, and eventually everything will change. People may get in our way, problems may creep up, the landscape may change overnight, and all our plans may go up in smoke. Our situation may go from calm and positive to turbulent and critical in a moment’s notice. It’s hard to feel good when lots of things are going wrong. It’s hard to look ahead when we feel overwhelmed and pressed down. We may face our worst fears, and doubt our ability to survive, but all is never lost. No matter what happens, no matter what comes, no matter how bad it seems, there will always be a way out. We are strong enough to face anything and there isn’t anything powerful enough to stop us in our tracks permanently. By trusting ourselves, and looking at all the options before us, we can find the answers we need to continue forward. Hard times will come to all of us. We will be tested and pushed to our limits, but we will not break. By looking up and standing strong, we can step forward. Things may go wrong, everything may fall apart, but nothing can keep us from success. There will be a road waiting, and with patience and clarity, we will find our way.

Nobody gets a perfect life where nothing ever goes wrong and they never falter. We’re all human and all make mistakes at some point. When we’re struggling it may seem like someone else has it easy, and nothing negative ever happens to them, but we never know what’s going on in anyone else’s life. Everyone gets their share of hard times and trials, and nobody is exempt.

Life has a way of looping around and a mistake we made in the past may surface and trip us up when we least expect it. Nothing is permanent, but some decisions have lasting effects. If we’re reminded of something that didn’t go well, or some mistake we made, it doesn’t need to overcome us. The past does not define our future. We can learn from what is gone, and confidently move forward.

Today if you’re inundated with trouble and feel overwhelmed, look up. There are endless roads available and every destination is possible. Do what is needed to pave the way ahead, and step forward with clarity and confidence. Every success is waiting, and nothing can keep you from it. Your dreams are still there, and you will make them yours.

Steadfast

There are opposites in everything – black and white, good and evil, right and wrong. Whatever opinions or beliefs we hold, someone, somewhere will have an opposing view. Endless ideas and interpretations are everywhere and if we haven’t decided which way we’re going, we may be pulled in countless directions. We can listen to all the views around us and when we’re ready, decide what is best and how we want to proceed. Everyone is different and we will undoubtedly face times when our views clash with those around us. If everyone else is singing one song and we’re on another page, we will likely face conflict. We’re all entitled to our own beliefs and decisions, but that doesn’t mean the power of the group won’t come into play. It’s far easier to get to the goals desired if everyone agrees. When there is dissent, it can make the road a lot rockier. In an effort to make things easier for those around us, we may be pressured to go along and asked to conform with something we disagree with. Of course, we can do anything we like and if we want to acquiesce we can, but our ideas are important and we are entitled to express them any way we like. We never have to follow anyone else if we want something different. We can be polite and still be steadfast in our decisions. Our lives are ours to design, and we may live them any way we choose. We don’t need agreement or permission to choose our own way forward. By trusting ourselves, and being confident, we can step ahead on the roads we desire most, and find great success.

Some people are very loud and forceful. They believe their ideas are best and may press us to do things their way. Being loud may open some doors, but certainly doesn’t equate to having power over us. We can do what we like, even if it’s different from everyone else. There are countless roads to every destination, and we can choose the ones we’ll travel. Our dreams are ours alone. We can take control, choose our own direction, and move toward any destination we desire.

Group think squashes creativity and removes individual responsibility. Nobody makes their own decisions, and nobody gets blamed when things go wrong. Nothing could be more damaging to personal growth. It’s good to have friends and build connections, but we can connect with others and keep our own autonomy. We are all unique and have special, individual gifts nobody else can offer. By honoring our personal differences, and stepping forward according to our own specific desires, we will bring great depth and blessing to the world around us.

Today if you’re being pressured to align yourself with others, remember your contribution is important. Trust yourself and follow your own road. You have so much to offer and bring gifts nobody else can give. Be steadfast and confident. You are amazing and powerful. Your light brings great joy and we’re all blessed because you are here.
