Flawless

The natural beauty of the world is all around us. It’s incredible in its scope and diversity, and we may stand amazed at the landscape before us. There’s so much variety and color, and so many lovely scenes it’s impossible to take it all in. We hear the song of a bird and it lifts our spirits. We see the waves crashing on the shore and feel renewed. Everything looks so beautiful and perfect, and we may be swept away. But there is no perfection in nature. Despite all its loveliness, each item is imperfect in some way. When we see the entire scene, everything fits so well together that we don’t notice anything amiss. But imperfections are there in everything before us. They make the scene more beautiful and richer than if it were immaculate and flawless. The imperfections create more definition and interest, and pull us in closer. It’s the same with us. Nobody is perfect and each behavior and personality trait define us individually. We may strive for perfection and do everything possible to be the best we can be. But our imperfections, our personal interpretations and foibles make us unique and desirable. The very things we may think take away from perfect beauty are often the characteristics most attractive to others. We can value and appreciate who we are, just as we are. Perfection in the worldly sense isn’t possible, but we can express it our own way. We can be sincere in our endeavors, and do our best with everything we have. There will always be something more we want to accomplish, or another trait we want to improve, but we are wonderful and desirable just as we are today. We are worthwhile, lovable, and important. We have so much to offer and are a great blessing to the world.

Perfection may be nice to think about but when everything is predictable and exact, there is less interest and desire. It’s boring to be able to predict exactly how things will go every single time. The unexpected complications and surprises may be annoying but they bring depth and clarity to our experience. We reach further and learn more when there are twists and turns. We can navigate any development and when we do, our understanding is increased and we gain a richer awareness of those around us.

They say love is blind and when we’re in the throes of infatuation, that’s often true. If we’re enthralled with someone new, we may only see all the great qualities they possess. As time passes, we begin to see them more clearly and every aspect of their personality becomes apparent. There is great satisfaction is learning about someone close to us and seeing them clearly, warts and all, brings great depth to the relationship. We accept them as they are and as we move forward together, find great satisfaction is sharing our lives openly and honestly.

Today if you feel you should be perfect, remember how amazing you are now. There isn’t anyone else in the entire world exactly like you. You bring specific gifts no one else can share. Be confident and remember you are important and valuable. The whole world is blessed because you’re here. You are incredible just as you are.

Chink in the Armor

Most of try to do the best we can every day. We try to make good decisions, be helpful to those around us, and set a good example. It takes constant attention to choose well and we apply ourselves to the task in an effort to succeed. Often the right choice is easy to see but sometimes the waters get muddy and it’s hard to determine which way to go. At times like that, all we can do is make the best choice possible and see what happens. If every day went well and we never experienced stress, time pressures or confusion, our chances of making a good decision would be enhanced. But life is rarely like that. Most often there’s a lot going on around us, others may press us to hurry, we may have many balls in the air at once, and the time it takes to see everything clearly is lost. We may make a decision out of desperation or frustration and just deal with the results when they come. Nobody is perfect and sometimes we all make mistakes. Even when we’re trying hard, we may get a chink in our armor from a bad choice. We may end up going the wrong way, we might impact others negatively, or shut doors we need to move forward. If we’ve gone far from where we need to be to continue ahead, it may take time to get back on track. We can focus on where we want to go and do what is needed to find our way. A chink in our armor is just a momentary delay. It cannot keep us from progressing or prevent us from reaching success. We have everything we need to be successful in any endeavor. There is sufficient wisdom and courage inside us to take us anywhere we want to go. Every destination is possible and with focus and determination, we will prevail.

Lots of things can go wrong when we’re pushing ahead. We may get the wrong impression, go the wrong way, or get lost completely. Fortunately, nothing in life is permanent and we can always correct anything we need to start again. Nothing is written in stone and everything can be modified. There is no need to despair if we’ve made a mistake in judgement. We can learn everything possible from what’s happened and use the knowledge we’ve gained to move forward with confidence.

Everyone has their own opinions and ideas about how things should go. Some may tell us to go one way, some another, and some may tell us the goal is too difficult and we should give up and stop. Although we may listen to any advice we value, we don’t need approval or permission to do anything. We can design our lives any way we choose and go anywhere we want. Even if everyone else is going south, we can set our journey going north. We know what we want, and with faith and determination can succeed at anything we desire.

Today if you’ve made a big mistake that has set you back and feel like you’ve failed, be confident and trust yourself. Mistakes teach us what doesn’t work and give us more information to help us in the future. Be positive and fearless. You can do anything you desire. Every dream is possible. You are stronger and wiser than you imagine. Nothing can keep you from success and you will reach your destination.

Wide Open

As we go through our lives, we meet many different kinds of people. Our impressions and interpretations color the way we see the world and those around us, and may lead us to believe something before we have the facts. If we’ve heard many things about someone before we meet them, we may form an idea of who they are and what they’re like before we even say hello. When we do finally meet them, those initial impressions may persist even if they aren’t true. If they’re convincing enough, we may believe they’re entirely different than they are, and attribute positive aspects they don’t possess. The right words and a winning smile can be very influential, and may fool us into believing someone is different than they really are. If we want to believe them it may be difficult to find the truth. We may live in the land of fiction and make excuses when they don’t follow through or look the other way when something doesn’t fit, and we can do that for as long as we like. But truth is powerful and always rises. Even if we’ve been fooled and are completely convinced of something that isn’t real, the truth will show itself. When it does, we’ll have the chance to look openly at the situation and see everything clearly. Truth is always there and when we’re ready we can see everything as it is and determine our next steps forward. If we’ve made a mistake in judgement, we can correct it. If we’ve gone the wrong way, we can turn and redirect the way ahead. A detour isn’t the end of the road, and gives us the chance to adjust our direction to get to the goal. We know where we want to go and what we want to do. Nothing can confuse us or hold us in place indefinitely. We can reach any destination we desire and find success.

Some people struggle with honesty. They may lie because they want something, because the truth is too difficult to face, or because they lack confidence in their decisions. The reasons for dishonesty don’t matter. Nothing can change the truth of any situation and even if a lie prevents it from being clear at the beginning, nothing will keep it from showing itself in the end. Life is filled with complications and sometimes the temptation to get through dishonestly may entice us. Who we are is defined by our choices. We can be firm in our integrity, even when it’s difficult, and make decisions that will enhance our credibility and move us forward with confidence.

If we’ve been fooled or lied to by someone we care about, it may be difficult to face what’s happened. We may try to justify what they’ve done and imagine they didn’t mean to hurt us, but there is no way to defend dishonesty. We can accept what’s happened and learn all that’s possible from the experience and take it forward with us. We deserve the very best of everything and with integrity and wisdom can do what is needed to gain it.

Today if you’ve been lied to and hurt by someone else’s choices, stand firm and go forward with honesty and strength. You are worth every blessing you desire and nothing can keep you from success. Be true to your standards and trust yourself. You know what is right and good, and will reach every destination you desire.

All is Lost

Life is filled with possibilities and opportunities. There are unlimited things we can do, places to go, people to meet, and endless chances to change our lives. Sometimes what we want to do comes easily and we overcome obstacles quickly. Other times it seems the road ahead constantly blocks us and we can’t move forward. If we’re intent on achieving a goal and something happens that prevents that from happening, we may get discouraged. If nothing we do changes the situation, we may feel like we’ve failed. There may be so much disappointment we withdraw and decide we’re not trying anything new ever again. We may think all is lost and just give up. We can stop pursuing any goal at any time, and change direction but we need not surrender to defeat. Everything is possible. Just because the goal isn’t available now doesn’t mean it won’t be possible later. Sometime success is just about timing. If we give up and abandon the goal, there is no hope of winning. Disappointment can be hard to get through but it’s just a step in the process. It’s just one step among many. The road is long and if we keep our eyes focused on where we want to go, when our situation changes, we can try again and succeed. We are entirely capable of doing anything we desire. There isn’t anything strong enough or complicated enough to hold us in place forever. We know what we want and have all the intelligence and determination to achieve it. Our lives can be exactly the way we want them. We can trust ourselves to find the way through any problem and reach success.

Life is a long journey with many unexpected twists and turns. Sometimes just when we feel sure we’re headed in the right direction a big detour blocks our way and we have to regroup. Few things we want to accomplish will simply arrive without effort. We will have to plan the way forward, and unravel each complication that arises. It doesn’t matter how difficult the road gets, we have everything we need to find our way. We can find the solution to any problem and with patience and focus will reach the goal.

We may go through a period where it seems nothing is working and everything is standing in our way. Every door we try to open is locked, every road is tangled and dark, and we can’t advance. There are unlimited roads to every destination. If the one we’re on isn’t working, we can try another. If that doesn’t work, we can try another again. If nothing we do pushes us forward, we may decide to set the goal aside for a time and start again later. Setting the goal aside doesn’t mean we’re abandoning it. We can revisit it when things change and find success.

Today if you’ve suffered a big disappointment and feel like giving up, remember everything you’ve already accomplished. You are successful and strong, and nothing can keep you from anything you desire. Decide what you want and choose the road that will take you to it. You are powerful and wise. Don’t give up. Every dream is possible and you will prevail.

Changing Direction

We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives. The choices are unlimited and every day we decide what step we’ll take and choose every turn. Each decision colors our lives and tells the world around us who we are and what we stand for. We can certainly choose anything we like at any time but we’re not free to decide what happens after that. The first step is ours but the results of each decision are beyond our control. Sometimes we may have a good idea of what will happen next and things work out the way we want them to. But other times we may be shooting in the dark as we make choices unsure of what will result. Life is filled with all kinds of variables, and everyone around us is making decisions that may impact our way forward. It’s impossible to know everything and even when we try to choose the right road ahead, there may be times we end up going in the wrong direction and have to start again. The best we can do is take the time necessary to see and evaluate all the options before us, and then decide. If the road turns and we find we’re not headed where we want to go, we can look again, and re-chart our course. Every decision will take us somewhere. If it’s not where we want to go, we can start again. We can change direction at any time and choose how we’ll continue. It doesn’t matter how may restarts or revisions we must make. There are unlimited roads ahead and if one doesn’t work, we can choose another. Success is always possible and with determination and wisdom, we’ll reach it.

There’s always a lot going on around us and when we’re focused on a goal, we may set our sights only on the steps in front of us. We may block out everyone else and close ourselves off in an effort to move forward undeterred. It’s good to be focused, but if we only see the next step forward and don’t pay attention to anything else, we may miss important cues about the road ahead. Those around us may have valuable information that will help us and being open to them can prevent pitfalls we may not see. Every destination is possible and by clearly watching where we’re headed and being aware of everything going on, we’ll get there as quickly and effectively as possible.

Everyone has ideas and opinions about how things should go and we may get all kinds of advice and guidance along the way. We can listen to everything being offered and use whatever will help us move forward. We aren’t compelled to do anything differently or conform to anyone else’s ideas about how we should progress. The journey is ours to design and each decision moves us forward toward the goal. We can do anything and go anywhere. The possibilities are endless and we can choose the future we desire.

Today if you need to adjust your course to get to the goal you’re seeking, choose the best way forward and step ahead. Make a turn, and continue forward. You are amazing and capable. The goal is there for you and you will reach success. Nothing is out of reach and all your dreams can come true.
