Blown Apart

27 Jun

There are opposites in all things and all kinds of people in the world. Some are good or bad, kind or wicked, helpful or hurtful. They may be a great asset to us or they may try to take everything away. If we’ve suffered through a situation where someone destroys our sense of well-being – they breach our accounts and steal all our money, or break into our homes, or take our car – or any other serious, malicious situation, we may feel extremely vulnerable and violated. Everything may feel blown apart and we may struggle for a time to find our footing again. When our foundations have been shaken and what we thought was strong has been penetrated and looted, the exposure may shatter our sense of safety and security. When something has been broken it takes work to rebuild and fortify it again. If it’s very personal it may take serious courage and intense focus to unravel everything and put it back together. Dangerous and difficult issues are not easy to process and overcome. We may be attacked and left standing bereft and confused, but all the answers we need will be there for us. We will never be left devastated without a way out. It may take a lot of time and work, but there will always be a way forward. Even in our weakest moments, we are strong enough to prevail. There isn’t anything we can’t manage, and nothing is powerful enough to hold us down forever. We can trust ourselves to do what is needed to correct anything that happens, and find resolution. Life is complicated and trouble may come, but we are intelligent and wise, and no matter what goes wrong, no matter how hard the road is, we will reach success.

It’s hard to understand wickedness and why some people hurt others for their own personal gain. We hear stories about it all the time, but until it happens to us, we may have no idea how pervasive and painful it can be. With one action, someone may destroy our security and peace. The shock may leave us speechless for a moment, but we are stronger than we imagine, and with determination and clarity, will be able to figure out how to amend the situation and start again.

When terrible things happen, and we feel tremulous and worried, it’s natural to want to hide. The fight or flight reflex may kick in and tell us to run, and we can lock ourselves up in our rooms and hide under the covers. But looking away from trouble will never solve it. It doesn’t matter how bad everything seems, it doesn’t matter how desperate the situation appears, we already have what we need to overcome it. We can stand strong and step forward with confidence, sure we will find every answer and be able to correct every issue. There isn’t anything too difficult for us. We are powerful and wise, and we will win.

Today if something terrible and extreme has happened, and you feel unsure and exposed, trust yourself. You are intelligent and highly capable and nothing can hold you down indefinitely. Get the help you need and confidently begin. All the answers are there for you and every success awaits. Be confident and sure. The whole world is still there for you and you will prevail.

No Tolerance

3 Jun

Life is complicated and we’re often busy attending to meetings, chores, appointments, details and unexpected developments. We never know what will happen next, and sometimes things get in the way and disrupt our plans. We may be delayed due to circumstances out of our control, or have to change direction because of some unplanned detour. If we’re late and others are waiting, they may be annoyed and express that once we arrive. Some people have no tolerance for disruptions in their schedules or routine. They may fuss and fume when things go wrong, or their schedules have to change. It’s fine to have high expectations, but this is the real world, and we can’t predict anything. Things will go wrong, stuff will get in the way, and our plans may go up in smoke. Accepting that and learning to be flexible will help us find alternatives when the road turns and everything gets switched around. If we’re on a tight schedule and something waylays us, we may get frustrated and concerned, but by being patient and looking at the situation calmly and openly, we will find the best way to continue ahead. Lots of things may go wrong, and the plans we made may get completely turned around, but we are intelligent and can figure out any complication. By looking at every option available, and carefully choosing the best path, we can reach the destinations we desire. Success doesn’t always come the first time out, but by thinking clearly and being persistent, we can overcome any detour and find our way.

We all want the roads ahead to be clear and paved. It’s great when we can go from point A to point B without any roadblocks or problems. That will happen sometimes and we’ll sail on through, but there are always things going on around us we may be unaware of. Someone may make a decision that completely upends our plans, or something may develop we have no control over that stops us in our tracks. The schedules we set may be confounded and we may need to find a new way to get to the goal. It doesn’t matter what happens or what doesn’t work. We are perfectly capable of figuring out any problem and finding the solutions we need to succeed.

Some things need a lot of pre-planning and preparation. We can never see the end of the road from the beginning and there is no way to predict what might happen. If we’re open to making a change and altering our direction, we will more easily be able to manage disruptions and issues that may arise. There isn’t any goal that is unreachable and if things get jumbled up, we can trust that we will find our way to the destination.

Today if the road ahead is blocked and you’re stuck, look at all the options possible and choose the best way forward. Being delayed does not mean you will fail. Success is still there for you and with patience and clarity, you will find your way to it. Be calm, be confident and wise. Nothing can keep you from anything you desire. It’s all there for you and you will reach it.

Tea Leaves

19 May

Every day we make lots of decisions, and each choice for good or bad, changes something. Some things go exactly the way we want them to, but that doesn’t always happen. We are capable of achieving many successes in our lives, but chances are we’re also going to experience some failures. If we’ve taken a wrong turn and fallen hard, and everything has gone haywire, we may struggle to figure out what to do to straighten our course. Nobody is perfect and there is no way to see the end of any road at the beginning. We’re all going to face failure at some point but that will never be the end of the journey. Some people may criticize, pointing out our failures as proof that we will never succeed at anything. They may believe the past will predict the future, but a previous disaster doesn’t mean nothing will ever go right again. Being superstitious, reading tea leaves to see the future, or believing previous mistakes will hold us down forever is just fiction. Like any good book of fiction, once we put it down, it can be forgotten. No matter what’s already happened, we can trust ourselves to do anything we like. Success will always be possible, and with persistence and focus, nothing is out of reach. We can always find the way forward, and achieve any goal. We are more powerful and wiser than we think we are, and can accomplish anything we desire.

Life is a constant process of learning. Everything we do teaches us something, and when things go wrong we learn what doesn’t work. If we learn all we can from each experience, and take that knowledge forward with us, it will increase our ability to understand the world more clearly and see the road ahead. There will always be countless complications and unforeseen developments that take us by surprise and upend our plans. Change is constant, and when the way forward turns or gets blocked, we can step back, look at everything objectively and choose the best options to proceed. Problems may come but that can’t stop us from reaching success. We are intelligent and wise, and will prevail.

Our personal behaviors may be an asset or a liability depending on what we express. If we have a quick temper and are easily angered, it may be harder to see solutions when things go wrong. If we’re vindictive and judgmental, it may be difficult to get agreement and support from those around us. We can pave the road ahead with wisdom and clarity, or complicate it by making choices that hold us back. We are all responsible for our own lives, and the decisions we make will either move us forward, or create obstacles. We know what we want and can do anything we choose. By being wise and thoughtful and doing what is needed to move ahead, every success will be possible.

Today if you think a past failure will prevent you from gaining success, stop and think again. Learn everything you can from what’s already happened and step forward with confidence. The past can never predict the future, and every goal is within reach. Decide what you want the most and begin the journey to make it yours. You are strong and wise, and nothing is out of reach. Every happiness is there for you, and you will reach them all.

Shoulda Woulda…

5 May

Everyone’s experiences in life are different. We make our decisions and choices based on what we’ve learned, what we want, and how we feel. Some things go exactly the way we expected, and others, not so much. Most of the time we try hard to choose the best path moving forward. We don’t know what we don’t know and there is no way to have every single fact about every single situation. We must work with what we have and deal with the consequences. If we’ve had a stumble and something we did blew up in our faces, there may be others around us willing to give us their opinions about what happened. They may tell us we should have done this or that differently, or maybe if we’d asked them they would have had all the answers. Uh huh, sure. It’s very easy to armchair quarterback and see everything clearly after the fact. We can look back with all the knowledge we now possess and see where we made the wrong turn, but using insight and knowledge we didn’t have at the beginning to judge our actions is a fool’s game. It’s always easy to see the road after we’ve traveled it, but there is no way to see the end at the start. No matter what’s happened, we don’t need to demean ourselves thinking we should have done things differently. We can learn from what’s happened, and take all that knowledge forward to help us in the future. What’s done is done and there is no way to change the past. We are intelligent and completely capable of making excellent choices. By trusting our own personal wisdom and doing everything we can to move ahead with clarity, we will reach success. Nothing is permanent and we have everything we need to do anything we desire.

Most of us have met someone who thinks they know everything. They tell others what they should do, where they should go, how they should dress, and everything else they have an opinion about. We can certainly take any advice we’re offered, but we know who we are and what we want. We can listen to suggestions and then move forward according to our own desires and decisions. There isn’t anything we can’t manage or figure out, and with patience and focus, we can achieve every goal.

When things go wrong, someone may tell us if we’d only done it their way everything would have worked out. Maybe they think they have more insight into our personal lives than we do, which frankly is impossible. Nobody knows us better than we know ourselves. If something goes wrong, it’s not the end of the road or the end of our journey. Mistakes are just detours that tell us what doesn’t work, which is valuable information. We can stand strong and step forward with confidence, continuing on to success.

Today if your plans have gone awry and didn’t work out, do not despair. Learn everything you can from the experience, and take all the wisdom and insight you’ve gained forward with you. You are amazing and have greatness inside you. Trust yourself and be confident. Nothing is out of reach and every destination is waiting. Step forward and make them yours.

Opening A Window

15 Apr

Life is long and filled with all kinds of experiences. We never know what will happen next or how things will develop. Sometimes we sail along with hardly a care or worry, and other times we may feel beset by trouble and turmoil. Things may go wrong because of decisions we’ve made or the decisions or actions of someone else. And sometimes crap just happens. When we’re struggling, if we get overwhelmed with stress and complications, and have been pushing hard for a long time, we may tire and begin to feel hopeless. It may seem like nothing we do changes anything and there is no end to the grief and despair. We may be convinced this is it, this is as good as it’s ever going to be and our lives are ruined. Once we lose hope in any chance of change, we may give up and surrender to our darkest fears and emotions. If we’re in a dark, stuffy room, it can feel like there is no air. But if we open a window, the cool air will stream through, and refresh and lift us. Hard times come to us all but no matter how bad the situation seems, there will always be hope. We can open a window in our hearts, trust in ourselves, and be sure that nothing will overcome us and hold us down forever. The situation may be dire, and we may be consumed with concern, but change is constant and cannot be held back. Tomorrow will come, the sun will rise and in time, however long that takes, things will improve. We will learn to adjust and overcome whatever we must to find peace again. Happiness and success will always be possible. We are wise and strong, and can do what is needed to get through and reach them both.

Running a marathon is hard. It takes lots of training, endurance and stamina. Sometimes it may seem we’re running a marathon in our lives. Lots of things are trying us and we may have to push hard against obstacles to make any headway. Just when we think we can see the finish line, things change and there are miles yet to go. Big, intense trials are hard to get through. They test our patience, our strength, and sometimes our sanity. But we are stronger and wiser than we think we are, and every answer we need is always there for us. By taking things one step at a time and keeping our eyes focused on the road ahead, we will prevail.

If we must face a difficult health situation, a sudden unexpected death of a loved one, an unforeseen loss of a job, or a dozen other difficult scenarios, we may be stunned and stopped in our tracks. At first we may feel lost about our next steps. What do we do now? How can we face this? It may seem there is no way to survive, but that will never be true. There will always be a way ahead. We can stop and stand still, and take time to determine how we want to proceed. We are powerful and highly capable, and nothing can keep us from success.

Today if you’re overwhelmed with worry and trouble, and it seems nothing you do moves you forward, remember all the times you’ve already overcome serious and difficult challenges. You are wise and powerful, and even if the road is long and hard, you will prevail. Nothing can keep you from moving ahead, and every destination is still there for you. Be confident and stand strong. Every dream is waiting, and you will reach them all.
