End of the Road

15 Nov

We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives.  Every decision has a result and takes us somewhere.  Sometimes those destinations and consequences are exactly what we’re hoping for, and other times we may end up somewhere we don’t want to be.  It’s sometimes easy to see where the road before us is headed and may be obvious which way we should go.  But roads aren’t always straight and where they lead may be difficult to see from the beginning.  We can objectively look at them and try to discern where they are headed to make the best choice going forward.  If we’re in a hurry to decide or feel pressure to choose we may begin forward without taking the time we need to be sure of where we’re going.  If we’re angry and impetuous we might choose a direction without thought and end up somewhere we never wanted to go.  Every decision has a result and we are accountable for every destination we reach.  What we do today may have an intense impact on what we face tomorrow.  It’s important to take the time we need to evaluate all the options before us and make sure we choose roads that will take us where we really want to go.  All our dreams can come true if we plan for them and prepare the way forward.  If we’re not getting closer to the goals we desire we can change our course and redirect the way forward.  We are in control of our lives and every choice we make designs the lives we have.  It’s all up to us and with careful thought we can go anywhere we desire and make all our dreams come true.

We all face times of conflict when situations don’t go well and we may feel angry or upset.  If we act in ways that bring disharmony, the ramifications of our behavior may impact the days ahead.  If we are rude and mean to those around us we may find ourselves alone when we need support.  If we are manipulative and dishonest others will learn they cannot trust us, and it may be difficult to build relationships.  We can do things that bring us loneliness and sorrow, or companionship and happiness.  Everything we do has a consequence and if we’re careful and thoughtful those consequences will be exactly what we’re hoping for.

The decisions of those around us may impact our lives unexpectedly.  Someone near us may make a choice that brings problems to everyone around them.  We interact with others but can only control the decisions we make.  If we must endure negative consequences because of situations out of our control we can walk through them with confidence staying true to our personal values.  We can clear the way forward step by step and adjust our trajectory toward the direction we want to go.

Today if you’re dealing with complications from decisions you’ve made in the past and are unhappy with where you are, take the time you need to determine how to move forward.  Decide where you want to go and make decisions that will take you closer as you move ahead.  Every destination is reachable and you can do anything you desire.  Create the life you want the most and you’ll find every happiness you seek.  You can accomplish anything.  Go forward with confidence and clarity, and you’ll reach every goal.

Courage

7 Nov

Everyone has times in their lives that shake their security and make them feel unsure. We all go through experiences that are difficult and frightening and we may feel concerned we won’t be able to endure the challenge. If we must face something that takes away our safety and calm, and the situation is daunting and overwhelming, we may believe it’s beyond what we can manage. We may be afraid as we struggle to stand firm. Fear is an important emotion. It warns us and tells us to be alert to what is going on. It’s a survival mechanism that makes us aware and keeps us focused. But fear is also a tool we can use to understand where we are more clearly and show us the way forward. If we look at it objectively and control our response to it we can see the situation accurately and turn it into courage. Courage is merely strength in the face of danger or uncertainty. When we feel afraid we can step back for a moment, look at the entire situation openly and then stand strong knowing we will overcome whatever is ahead. Even if we aren’t sure exactly how we will proceed our courage will direct us and help us move forward. We realize how strong we are when we face extreme challenges. We have perfect courage within us and can pull it forward to navigate the most difficult problems we face. It’s always there. We need only reach for it. Everything is possible and there isn’t anything we can’t do. Trusting our abilities and being confident will help us access everything we need to overcome anything before us. We are strong and capable, and nothing will hold us in place.

When we are surprised by difficult developments that knock the wind out of us we may lose our footing for a moment. If the problem is extreme and complex, we may be breathless trying to figure out what is happening and how to get through. We may not be able to see the whole situation at first but if we give ourselves time to think and step back for a moment we will understand everything that’s happening. Once we see the problem clearly, no matter how bad things are, we will find a way through.

If we believe we don’t have the strength or courage to face an issue, we may talk ourselves into failure. However, we always have everything we need to face anything we must. It may be more than we want to face, it may require us to do things we are uncomfortable with, and it may take more time than we want to spend. But every solution is available if we are determined to find it. There is always another door to open and the answers are there. We can be confident and sure we will prevail. We can do anything we must and succeed.

Today if you’re facing an enormous problem that has rocked you and made you feel unsure, remember how strong you are. All the answers are there for you. You’ve already overcome many things and there isn’t anything too complex for you to unravel. You are amazing, capable, and wise. Be confident. Move forward. Success is there and you will reach it.

Out of Sight

3 Nov

Living in the moment and keeping our eyes open to everything we’re experiencing helps us get the most satisfaction out of our lives. When we’re consciously aware of everything around us and what we’re doing we can make the best decisions and choose the most effective ways forward. But sometimes we might look another way. If there is something difficult to manage or painful to look at, we may choose to ignore it and keep our eyes averted. It’s fine to concentrate on other things while we work out issues that are pressing but if we keep our eyes away from what needs our attention we may find the situation worsens and there are more complications because of our neglect. If we need time out to think and determine our way forward we can take it, but if our time out becomes an escape hatch we may create complications. Truth is truth. It exists whether we face it or not. It’s best to look at every situation openly, see what’s really happening and do what is needed to move forward to bring us what we really want. Out of sight might take things out of focus but they will still remain. We are in control of our choices and can choose to face every situation as it arises and make the best decisions going forward. We are designing our lives and can make them any way we like. Happiness is there for us when we do what we want most and move forward toward the destinations we truly desire.

Everyone has dreams about how they want their lives to go. It’s good to dream and plan but if we want anything to come to us we must take action. Dreaming about traveling the world is great, but doing what is needed to make that dream a reality will bring success. We can do anything we desire and there is nothing out of reach if we are willing to take the necessary steps to make it happen. The longest journey always begins with the first step. We can take that step and continue forward until we reach the goal.

Our lives are busy and sometimes we must set goals aside while we manage other important responsibilities. Nobody can do everything at once and it’s wise to manage our priorities in ways that allow us to get things accomplished. Setting goals aside may be necessary but we must return to them if we want to reach them. We can revisit them as soon as we are able, reach any goal we desire, and create the lives we dream about. Being aware and remembering what is most important, and then choosing to move forward on the path toward success will bring us satisfaction and happiness. We can do anything. Being mindful, carefully planning and remaining aware will help us make all our dreams come true.

Today if you’ve been ignoring something that is holding you back, turn around and look at everything openly. Decide what is needed to address the situation and move forward. You know what you need to be happy. Take the first step on the road that will take you there. You are amazing and there isn’t anything you can’t do. Be strong, be confident, and make all your dreams come true.

Learning to Wait

23 May

When we want something, or seek an answer to a problem we often want it right away. It’s hard to wait for something we really want and if we need the answer to go forward it’s even harder. Learning to wait doesn’t always come easily. If we’re waiting for something to happen the resolution we seek will never be far from our minds. We’ll be on the lookout for the answers and have our eyes always focused on the goal. It’s hard to wait when we want something badly and it’s hard to be patient when we want a change to occur. We live in a world of immediate gratification and we may expect immediate action when there is something we desire. But life doesn’t always work that way. Sometimes we must wait. Learning to wait takes patience and the irony is we learn to be patient by having to wait. The two go hand in hand. In time as we learn to be patient we will find the wait easier to manage. Most things we want don’t come instantaneously. We can trust the answers to come and patiently wait for our situation to resolve. Learning to wait helps us navigate our lives more comfortably and effectively. It’s not always easy but we have everything we need to accomplish it.

If we’re in a group with others and we’re sure of an answer and confident we know the way forward but some aren’t convinced, we may have to wait until they come on board. If we are positive the answers are there and still we must wait it may be difficult to remain calm. Everyone reaches their personal conclusions in their own timeframes. We can explain our point of view, show the benefits of any options and express why we feel the way forward is the direction we’ve chosen. That may be enough to bring others on board, but sometimes the vision may not be convincing and we may have to continue to wait. There is often no urgency in our decisions and if we must wait we can take a step back. We can be patient until others join us.

Life is filled with distractions and sometimes they get in the way of what we want to do. Things get more complicated the more other people get involved. Everyone has their own opinions and reaching a consensus that allows us to move forward may take time. We can patiently express our views but we must also allow others the same benefit. Even if we’re sure we have the answers, everyone’s opinion is important. We can be respectful and offer whatever time is needed. Sometimes the best answers come after everyone expresses their viewpoints and we see a bigger picture to make the best decision going forward.

Today if you feel you know what needs to be done and you must wait, be patient. Allow others to join you and share the load going forward. You will accomplish your goal and get to the destination. There is no rush. When the time is right you will begin, and find success. There isn’t anything you can’t accomplish. Be patient. Everything will come.

Options Options

7 Apr

When we’re facing big decisions there are often options from which to choose.  There is rarely only one way to move forward successfully and we may choose any path we like.  There may be times when the decision we choose will be critical, and other times when it really doesn’t matter which path we choose so long as we get to the destination.  If we struggle with decisions and there are a lot of options it may take us some time to discern what we want to do.  Every decision we make will have a result and we want to ensure the results we get are what we’re seeking.  Even if time is a factor and we feel pressed we can review our options carefully and choose the best plan for our needs.  When we are thoughtful and careful it’s easy to imagine everything will go as planned and often that’s the case.  But sometimes, no matter how much we prepare or how carefully we choose, things will go awry.  Life is unpredictable and nobody can read the future.  If the bottom falls out and we discover we’re somewhere we never wanted to go we can turn our course and choose again.  There will always be choices to make and options available to us.  We have everything we need to make wise decisions and we can face anything that comes.  If complications arise, we will manage them.  If everything goes south, we will look to the north and find our way again.

Decisions come easily for some people. They are able to see things quickly and objectively and simply choose the way forward.  For others, fear of the unknown or risk of making a mistake may cause hesitation.  We can take time if we need to evaluate our choices and determine where they will take us.  We can step back and think about exactly what we’re trying to accomplish and review every possibility.  But we cannot think about the decision indefinitely.  The only way forward is to actually step on the path and move forward.  Indecision will only bring confusion and paralysis.  We can confidently see all our options and make good, wise, strong choices for where we want to go.

If we are heavily influenced by those around us or there are others with strong opinions about what we should do we may feel we must go along even if it’s not what we really want.  If we agree with someone else’s ideas and allow them to choose for us the results of that choice will be our responsibility as well as theirs.  We can’t blame others when we make choices out of pressure or influence.  The choice belongs to us.  If things go wrong, we are responsible.  We can hear other opinions and we can listen to all viewpoints, but in the end the decisions we make belong to us.  We can choose carefully and wisely and when we do we will prevail.

Today if you have a decision you must make and you aren’t sure which way to go, weigh all the options and see all the possibilities.  Listen to those around you and get advice if you need it.  Then make the best decision going forward. You have everything you need to prevail.  You are strong and capable and you will find the best way.
