Shadows

There are unlimited things we can accomplish in our lives and endless places we can go. The world is a huge place filled with myriad opportunities and chances to try new things. Nothing is out of reach but sometimes, when we finally achieve a goal we’ve been striving for, it isn’t exactly like we thought it would be. Life is always changing and we might find the landscape to the goal we desired has changed as well. It’s like looking at our shadow. Shadows are merely reflections. They represent the item or person being reflected but they aren’t exact. They resemble what’s in front of them but are skewed and modified in ways that take away clarity and complete identity. We can see what they represent but the picture isn’t well defined. When we’re pushing toward a goal, we may imagine how it looks, and hope it will be everything we desire. When we get there, it may be exactly as we imagined, or it might be only a resemblance of our idea. It’s disappointing to reach a destination and find out it isn’t what we thought. We may think we’ve wasted our time and efforts to get there, only to find it’s something we don’t want. But time spent pushing ahead and moving forward is never wasted. Every experience teaches us something new to carry with us, and even if we aren’t where we want to be, the journey to get there teaches us a lot. Everything is always changing, and sometimes our lives don’t go exactly the way we think they will. If we’re unhappy where we are, we can change course and choose another road. There are endless destinations available and we can do whatever we desire. Our lives are always in our control, and with persistence and patience, we can achieve anything.

An incredible entrance will not replace an overall bad experience. Some things look good at the beginning but once we get involved with them, we begin to see they aren’t what they appeared to be. We never have to continue any journey we don’t want. We can stop and turn around, find the road we most want to travel, and begin again. It doesn’t matter how long we were on the first journey or what we planned to do. We can change course and start in a new direction.

People are complicated and don’t always share everything about themselves. As we spend time with them, we may begin to see they are different in many ways than we first noticed, and if their behavior traits are difficult for us, we can step back and decide how we want to proceed. We never have to continue any associations we don’t want. Ensuring our connections are positive and encouraging will bring us great satisfaction and happiness.

Today if you’ve reached a destination you’ve been working toward but it’s not exactly what you thought it would be, look at the options possible and decide how you want to proceed. You’ve learned a lot with each step and all that information and wisdom will go with you moving forward. Every goal you desire is possible. Decide what you want and step forward. Nothing is out of reach. You can make your dreams come true and achieve complete happiness.

The Price

We make many decisions as we go through our lives and each choice defines who we are and what we stand for. We try to make good decisions and most of the time we’re successful. Of course, nobody is perfect and we’re going to falter from time to time. However, taking a wrong turn accidentally is different from making a bad decision because we hope to gain something by trickery or deceit. One area that causes some issues is when money is involved. Financial gain is a big motivator and if we aren’t careful, it may motivate us into doing something questionable at best, and unethical or illegal at worst. They say everyone has a price and it’s determined by the choices we make. For instance, if we get home from the store and discover the clerk accidentally dropped a roll of quarters into our bag, and we don’t return it – the price of our honesty and ethics is worth about ten dollars. That’s not much money to trade away our nobility and virtue. We can justify the decision not to return the money by saying the store makes plenty and doesn’t need it, it’s a long way to drive and will cost us time and gas to return it, or we can see it as an unintended gift. No reason we come up with for not returning what doesn’t belong to us is valid. We are in control of our lives and can live them any way we want. If we want to be honest in our all dealings, we must make choices that reflect that decision. Our ethical standards will define us in many ways. Others will see the decisions we make and base their ability to trust us on what we choose. We are valiant and important, and can make excellent decisions that show others who we are. The whole world is blessed because we are here, and we can ensure our influence is beneficial by choosing well.

People aren’t what they say they are, they really are what they do. Some will say they are honest, but then do things that reflect a different expression altogether. Maybe they cheat on their time sheet at work, saying everyone does it. Or they manipulate situations to make them appear more successful and further along than they are. There are unlimited ways to shape things to make them appear different than they really are. True honesty is a virtuous and impressive trait that brings goodness and value to every situation. We can choose wisely, and make excellent decisions.

We must decide what kind of people we want to be. We can determine there is no price high enough for us to trade our honesty and valor. When we live with integrity, people will trust us and doors will open that might otherwise remain out of reach. Every choice we make takes us somewhere. We can choose the paths that take where we most want to go, and reflect the highest standards possible. Being honest in everything we do embellishes our lives, and brings us satisfaction and true happiness.

Today if you’re tempted to do something beneath your values in order to gain something you want, remember, every decision you make defines who you are. You are amazing and important. Show us your wisdom and integrity by choosing well. We’re all blessed because you are here. Choose wisely and step forward with confidence. Every success is there for you and choosing well will ensure you reach it.

Swimming Upstream

Everyone has their own opinions about how things should go and what life should be like. There is no one, perfect way to live and our interpretations are just as valid as anyone else’s. Some people like to put judgments on things and label other people by what they see and think they understand. If they don’t agree with choices we’re making or how we’re living our lives, they may mock or disparage us. We’re entitled to do anything we like and can express ourselves in ways that reflect who we are and what we want. We’re unique, and don’t have to follow anyone else’s ideas about how we should look or what we should do. But differences are hard for some to accept and they may criticize us when we don’t fit their model or ridicule the decisions we’re making. We can believe what they tell us and try to change to fit in, but our choices are important. We can always continue on the path we desire. Nobody knows us better than we know ourselves, and every choice we make tells the world who we are and where we’re headed. Our lives are ours to design and we never have to modify them to go along with someone else. We deserve to make every decision confidently and with purpose. Swimming along with everyone else brings conformity but does not ensure happiness. If we want something different, we can turn around and swim upstream. Even if we’re the only ones going our way, we can continue on with confidence and determination. We are responsible for our own happiness. We can pursue any goal we desire, and have the lives we dream about. We don’t need permission or agreement to move forward, and every possibility is there for us. Nothing is too difficult or complicated for us to overcome, and every success is waiting. All options are possible and we will prevail.

Lots of people will give us their opinions and advice, whether we ask for them or not. We can listen to every perspective but the roads we take are ours to choose. We already know what we want, and have everything we need to achieve every single dream. Each decision we make will take us somewhere. If we choose the paths that lead to the destinations we most desire, we’ll find great satisfaction and happiness.

It’s easy to follow someone else’s lead. If we let others make decisions about our lives and they don’t work out, we’re not to blame. However, letting others design our lives will never take us where we want to go or bring lasting fulfillment. We have everything we need to create the lives we want, and have all the courage and wisdom necessary to go anywhere we desire. We can be confident and step forward with clarity and determination. Every blessing is possible and we can make them ours.

Today if you’ve been going along with everyone else because it’s easier and you don’t want to rock the boat, remember your dreams and desires are important. You deserve complete happiness. Decide what you want most and then step forward toward the goal. You are amazing and strong, and nothing can hold you in place. All your dreams are possible and you can have the life you desire. Be confident. Nothing is out of reach, and you will succeed.

Tattoo

We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives. Much of the time which choice we make won’t matter and we’ll be able to continue forward unrestricted. But sometimes we may face a monumental decision that may change the course of our lives and affect those around us. When that happens, we try to choose the best options possible. It helps if we aren’t hindered by pre-conceived notions and unwavering ideas about how things should go. Getting at tattoo is a serious decision. Once the ink has been applied, it will remain. If we later decide we don’t want it, the process of removal may be difficult and painful. When making a decision, if we decide we will only accept one answer or one way forward and will not bend, we may remain, like the tattoo, permanently stuck in place. It’s good to have a strong sense of what we want and confidence for the road ahead, but if we draw a hard line in the sand and refuse to acknowledge or even look at different options, we may find we are unable to move. Moving forward is the only way to accomplish our goals, and there is no way to move forward and be stuck in place at the same time. We can have strong opinions and still be open to seeing other options. There are countless roads to every destination and never only one way to get to any goal. Allowing ourselves to consider each possibility will enable us to make the best decisions and find the most positive outcomes. Our lives are a reflection of every choice we make. We can go anywhere and do anything, and by seeing every option before us, we can make the best decisions moving forward. Nothing is out of reach, and we can have the lives we dream of.

Every experience we go through teaches us something. When we have difficult experiences, we may carry painful scars forward that influence how we proceed. Nobody wants to suffer and if we’ve been hurt, we may try to avoid anything that resembles what we’ve been through. If we alter our decisions based on something from the past, it may prevent us from moving forward toward the goals we desire. No matter what’s happened, we can move forward with confidence and clarity, and reach any goal we desire.

Tradition and pattern are strong influences. If we’ve always done something the same way, we may be reticent to try something new. Doing the same things over and over again will only take us to the same places. It’s impossible to go somewhere new and stay where we are. New destinations and roads can be intimidating. We can’t see the end from the beginning, and we don’t know what lies ahead. However, we have all the courage and wisdom we need to make excellent choices, and step forward with confidence and certainty. Nothing is beyond our reach and we can go anywhere.

Today if there’s a big decision ahead and you feel uneasy stepping forward, remember all the excellent decisions you’ve already made. Nothing is too complex or difficult for you to manage. Decide what you want and step forward with confidence. Every goal is within reach and every dream is possible. Nothing is too difficult for you. You are fierce and unstoppable, and you will succeed.

Blue Oranges

Our lives are ours to design and we have control over every decision we make. We are valuable and worthwhile, and can be confident in ourselves and the lives we’re living. However, there may be times we don’t feel we’re good enough or that we lack some attribute that would make us more beneficial and a greater asset. Nobody’s perfect and we all have personal traits we want to improve, but no matter what we want to change, we’re important and meaningful just the way we are now. We have gifts to offer the world nobody else possesses and each day brings an opportunity for us to show others who we are. There is no need to wish we were different or think we aren’t good enough. Oranges are a delicious fruit and are beautiful in their unique coloring and flavor. Nobody wishes oranges were blue. We don’t think they’re insignificant or meaningless because they are orange. They are perfect just as they are, and so are we. We can change anything we like, but as we’re pressing forward and working on making our lives better, we can be happy where we are. We have so much to offer and the whole world is blessed because we are here. Our lives are good and meaningful, and we can do anything we want. We can change anything we like, go anywhere we want to go, and create the lives we want the most. We are the only person exactly like us in all of creation, and our presence brings depth and flavor to the world around us. Nobody could ever take our place and we are more valuable than we realize. We can be confident and strong, trusting ourselves moving forward, knowing we are making a positive difference.

Change isn’t easy and sometimes takes a lot of time. As we’re working toward something we desire, we may be constantly reminded of how long it’s taking to turn the corner, and may feel overwhelmed and sure of failure. But while we’re pushing hard on trying to change, where we are is still working. We are able to do many things well, even in the midst of trial, and success is always in our future. We can be happy for what we currently have and grateful for every opportunity we enjoy.

There will always be another hill to climb and another challenge to conquer. No matter how far we’ve come down the road we want to travel, there will be endless miles ahead yet unexplored. We are always a work in progress. We learn as we go and with each step understand more about the world around us and our place in it. Our influence is great and with confidence and clarity, we can move forward toward any goal we desire and reach any destination before us. We are powerful and smart, and nothing is beyond our reach.

Today if you feel like you don’t count and aren’t valuable enough, remember blue oranges, and think again. Change is always possible but you are incredible and amazing, just as you are right now. We’re all blessed by your presence, and your influence reaches further than you can imagine. Be confident and trust yourself. You are the only one like you. You have so much to offer and bring light to those around you. Step forward and stand tall. You are amazing and we’re all glad you’re here.
