Life is full of unexpected developments. We never know what will happen next and we may be sailing along, everything going fine, when suddenly something changes, and we’re smack up against a huge hill we must overcome. Even if we’re strong and ready for a challenge, climbing isn’t easy. It takes strength, determination, and endurance. As we struggle to push ourselves ahead and reach the next plateau, we may feel overwhelmed and exhausted. We may grumble and complain, despairing at how hard the journey is. We may obsess over every negative complication and be completely miserable, wondering why this had to happen to us. We will all go through hard times, and it’s not easy to face a huge hill, but our attitude as we climb will either help us or make the journey harder. It cannot change the size of the hill, but it will change how we feel as we step forward and how we process problems as they arise. We can complain as we push on or we can choose to sing. The climb will be the same either way, but how we see it may be dramatically different. If we sing and remain open to whatever the road brings us, we may uncover answers we couldn’t see before. Life can be hard, and we may face serious and complex problems that try us and push us to our limits. We can’t control what will come to us, but we can control how we manage it. By focusing on what is going well and choosing to be positive, we will be able to more effectively handle any complication or problem that arises. We are more capable and powerful than we imagine, and nothing is strong enough to overcome us. Every single answer is there for us and with determination and focus we will uncover them all. Life is full of challenges, but it is also filled with blessings. If we focus on being the best we can be, every door will open.
Change is constant and nothing stays the same forever. When we’re suffering, and the trial has continued for a long time, it may seem the pain will never end. Life may seem dreary and we may feel hopeless that anything will ever improve. But nothing is permanent and in time, no matter what we’re going through, everything will change. The sky will open, the clouds will clear, and finally, the sun will break through. No storm can last forever, and we will prevail.
Although every situation is different and unique, problems and complications may appear. We can focus on what isn’t working or what may go wrong and allow the possibility of trouble to hold us in place. No road is completely paved and clear. There will always be some obstacle to overcome. It doesn’t matter what goes wrong or stands in our way. We are intelligent and will uncover whatever answers we need to get through. Every destination is there for us, and nothing can keep us from success.
Today if you’re facing a huge challenge and feel overwhelmed and discouraged, remember all the times you’ve already overcome difficulty and prevailed. You are amazing and can do anything you desire. Set your sights on the destination and start singing. Nothing can keep you from success, and you will win.
