Life is filled with opportunities and possibilities. There are unlimited options constantly available, and we can do anything we want to do. We can reach any destination and achieve any goal but the lives we want the most won’t just happen because we’re good people and desire them. In business when something is produced, it begins in manufacturing where it’s created. When completed, it’s shipped to those who’ve ordered the product. Companies mark things in “Receiving” when they arrive, and the process continues. Some people think of their lives like they are waiting in Receiving to greet their dreams and desires when they arrive. They may think about them, talk about them, plan for when they get them, and simply wait. Odds of getting the life we want by simply waiting – zero. It doesn’t matter how much we want something, how much planning and positive thinking we do, if we do nothing to achieve the goal, we likely won’t get it. We must think of ourselves not as being in Receiving, but Manufacturing. We are responsible for creating whatever it is we’re hoping to gain. We can do anything, but if we want to be successful, we must concentrate on the doing part. Everything is possible, but it won’t all be easy. Some goals may take a lot of work and effort and require a long time of continued focus. If the goal is complicated and requires a lot of planning and continued focus, it may take longer than we imagine to reach it. But nothing is impossible if we’re willing to do what is necessary to make it ours. Rome wasn’t built in a day, and we don’t have to do everything all at once. We can move forward one step at a time and open each door as it arrives. Every dream is there for us and we can design our lives any way we like. By focusing on the goal, and continuing forward, we will succeed.
Traditions are powerful and some people feel they must honor them and keep things the same as they’ve been in the past. If we decide we want to do something different, we may face opposition from those close to us. They are certainly entitled to their own opinions and ideas, but we are the only ones who know exactly what we want to accomplish and where we want to go. Our lives are ours to design and we don’t need agreement or permission to do things our own way. Every destination is possible, and with determination we can reach them all.
It’s easy to coast through life. We can go along with what others are doing and play follow the leader for as long as we like, but until we take control, we won’t reach the destinations we most desire. It’s impossible to reach our own goals when we’re following someone else’s plans. We know what we want and have everything necessary to make it ours. By living on purpose and directing our journey toward the destinations we most desire, we’ll gain great happiness and satisfaction.
Today if you’ve been waiting for your life to change, decide what you want the most and take the first steps forward. Everything you desire is possible, but only you can make it yours. You are stronger and wiser than you imagine, and everything is there for you. There is great success ahead, and you can make it yours.
