Life is filled with all kinds of experiences and we have no idea what will happen next. Every twist and turn shows us something new, and we sometimes end up in places we never predicted. The road is very long and each choice takes us somewhere new. Some things are expected and when our direction stays the same for a while, we may feel comfortable and confident. But nothing remains forever and no matter where we are now or what we’re doing, it will eventually end and we’ll be headed toward something else. Endings are inescapable and inevitable. Change is really the only thing we can count on, and nothing is ever lasting. What’s coming is anyone’s guess. When we’re happy and feel content and settled, often the last thing we want is for things to change. It’s hard to let go of situations where we feel complete and settled. We may resist and try to hold on to what we have, but that never works. The road continues forward unhindered whether we want it to or not, and eventually we’ll have to accept our new reality. Endings can be difficult but each one brings the blessing of a new beginning. Beginnings are inexorably tied to every ending we experience, and our very next step starts us toward something new. We may not want to move forward and we may grieve for what is gone, but life takes us forward whether we want to go or not. Embracing what’s next and being open to a new road will bring us great comfort as we navigate ahead. Our lives are one long journey, punctuated by moments of extreme sadness and incredible happiness. We can rejoice in every experience and find great joy as we continue on.
Our personal relationships are ever changing. When someone has been a part of us for a long time, we may see them as a constant in our lives. But sometimes things change and relationships end. If we don’t want to lose what we have, we may do everything possible to hold back the tide, but if that doesn’t work, and it rarely will, we must face something new. We are strong and can face anything that comes. We can understand new situations and find our way back to confidence and clarity. Nothing is too difficult for us to manage, and no matter how hard it is at the beginning, we will prevail.
We’re all mortal and death is certain for everyone and every living thing. It’s very hard to accept the death of a loved one and we may grieve intensely. But each day the sun will rise and we’ll have new possibilities. We can be grateful for the happiness we shared, and be confident of the future ahead. Life is a continual round of change. We can be courageous and resolute as we move forward, and achieve anything we desire.
Today if your road has shifted and you miss what you had before, take some time to adjust to what’s happened and look ahead. There are new possibilities waiting for you. The world is filled with opportunities for happiness and you can do anything you desire. Be confident. You are amazing and worthwhile, and nothing is out of reach. Comfort will come as you step forward and start something new. Every blessing is there for you and you will find them all, and make them yours.
