There are endless roads we can take as we journey through our lives. When we’re working toward a goal and are intent on accomplishing it, we may make excellent plans and keep our focus razor sharp along the way. We can prepare every needful thing to help us reach success but sometimes no matter what we do, the road ahead gets twisted and the way forward is blocked. We can’t predict what will happen and there is no way to know everything that could go wrong. Making our plans a reality can be like knitting. In order to get something functional from a ball of yarn you must twist it around in many different loops and turns to create the finished product. Our lives can be like that sometimes. Instead of one, clear, straight road to the destination, we may find ourselves turning this way and that, backtracking and looping around obstacles to get there. The quickest way to any goal is a perfectly straight line, but life doesn’t usually work that way. We can get tangled up in details, turned around because of someone else’s decisions or have to start over because the road we wanted to travel isn’t there anymore. Lots of things can get in our way and if we’re convinced there is only one way to move forward and refuse to change our plans or modify our direction, we will not prevail. But if we’re determined to succeed and refuse to stop no matter how many times we have to reroute and change our course, we can continue moving toward the goal and reach success. Life is a great blessing but it can be complicated. Learning to adjust and bend to the changes around us and finding new ways to keep moving ahead will take us where we want to go. Every goal is possible but we may have to twist the yarn to get there.
It’s good to be confident when we’re striving for something. It helps us overcome complications that may arise and gives us the strength to continue on. But if we decide there’s only one way to accomplish something and won’t consider other options, we may be stopped where we stand. Nothing is permanent in life and everything changes. Refusing to change when the plans we made aren’t working will guarantee failure. There’s no way to know what lies ahead and our ability to change direction and try new roads will help us find success.
We don’t know what we don’t know and even if we’ve tried to plan for every eventuality going forward, it’s possible something will prevent us from progressing. We can try to force our plans or ignore the problems and hope they’ll disappear. That rarely works and can waste a lot of time. Instead, we can face everything openly and see the situation clearly, modify our next steps to accommodate what’s happened and begin again. We have endless opportunities to continue forward and with determination and wisdom will reach every goal we desire.
Today if you’ve hit a snag in the road and can’t move forward, look at all the possibilities before you. There is always a way to get to the goal. Find the best options ahead and start again. You can accomplish anything you desire and nothing is impossible. Continue on with confidence. Success is just ahead and you will reach it.
