When we want to take a trip on a train, we can buy the ticket and get onboard. Then all we have to do is sit and wait while someone else drives us to our intended location. We can read, look out the window, or take a nap, oblivious to the tracks outside or what is necessary to keep the train moving forward. When we reach the destination, we can step off the platform and do whatever we like, leaving the journey behind us. As we navigate our lives, we can make any choices we like. We can decide what we want and then do what is necessary to make it ours, or we can simply let someone else drive the train, and end up wherever it goes. Letting others decide where we’ll go and what we’ll do is easy. We can just sit quietly and go along with whatever is happening around us. Sometimes we may even actually end up somewhere we wanted to go, but letting others control our lives will rarely bring us true happiness. Everyone has their own dreams and ideas about what they want to do and where they want to go. Sitting back and following along might be easier and may prevent conflict, but leaving our destinations up to others will never bring satisfaction. We know what we want and have everything needed to achieve it. By taking control of our own journey, choosing the destination, and moving forward with focus and clarity, we can accomplish anything we desire. All our dreams are possible, but we must decide to drive the train ourselves. We are smart enough and have all the courage necessary to do anything we desire. By trusting ourselves, and stepping forward with our eyes focused on the road ahead, we can make our dreams come true.
Some people are very loud and domineering. They may think they know what’s best for us and try to direct us toward the destinations they have chosen. We can listen to any advice or direction we’re given, but nobody knows us better than we know ourselves. We don’t have to explain our choices or ask for approval. Our lives are ours to design and we can do anything, and go anywhere we like. Every destination is there for us and we can make them ours.
Some plans don’t work out. If the road we’ve chosen stops, we may get stuck unable to move. Getting stopped along the way does not mean we cannot achieve the goal. There will always be another way forward, and we have everything we need to find it and continue on. We are intelligent and capable, and when we’re ready, nothing can keep us from success.
Today if you’ve been going along and sitting still, think about what you want the most. Be fearless and trust yourself. You already have everything you need to reach any goal you desire. Stand strong and step forward. The whole world is there for you and every destination awaits. Decide how you want to proceed, and begin the journey. There is great success just ahead and you will reach it.
