We share the world with billions of people. No matter where we are or what we’re doing, chances are there will be others around us. They may not intersect with us except in passing, or they may be intertwined in our lives. Everyone has their own opinions about how things should go and what we should do, and it’s easy to get along when everyone agrees. But that will not always be the case. We’re all individuals and what we think is best for us may be completely opposite of those around us. That doesn’t mean anyone is wrong. There isn’t any one perfect way to live life. There are endless roads to travel and unlimited options before us. If we have a close relationship with someone who disagrees with our plans, and we refuse to acquiesce to their views, they may ridicule and criticize, and tell us we are wrong and worthless. Some people are very confident they have the answers not only for their lives, but for the lives of those around them, but that can never be true. Nobody has our personal inspiration or knows what we really want but us. Our worth is not measured by how much we agree with those around us. We are unique and valuable. There has never been, nor will there ever be anyone who will have the gifts we have to offer. We are precious and rare, and are worth more than we can imagine. Everyone is entitled to their own choices and can live their lives any way they choose. We already know what we want and have everything we need to achieve any goal we desire. We don’t need the approval or agreement of others to chart the course ahead. The whole world is there for us and when we’re ready, we can go anywhere and do anything we choose. There is greatness in us, and great success ahead. By trusting ourselves, and stepping forward with clarity and confidence, nothing can keep us from it.
Some people love to put others down. They ridicule their choices, make fun of their appearance, and question their actions at every turn. If there is someone like that in our life, it may be difficult to interact with them. We never have to stay in any situation that is uncomfortable, and no matter who they are or how much power they have, we can step away from them and move onto a new road. Our lives are ours to design, and we can choose our own way ahead.
The world is full of ideas about what represents success. There are constant exhortations that we need more wealth, more possessions, more influence and more of everything to prove we are successful. People can say anything, but we define our own personal success. We are a blessing to the world, and don’t need to prove our worth to anyone. We can chart our own course and move toward the goals that will bring us satisfaction and lasting happiness.
Today if you’re feeling like you don’t count because you are different from those around you, remember you are unique, and a blessing to us all. Your influence brings great light and goodness to the world. You are amazing and incredible. Trust yourself and be confident. The whole world is blessed because you are here.
