We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives. We know every decision we make will take us somewhere and have a consequence, and we may try hard to choose wisely so we end up where we want to go. There are a lot of factors involved when we make our choices – how much time we have, if we’re pressured to go a certain way, how much information is available, what we want the most, and dozens of other parameters. Sometimes what we choose depends on if we’re making the decision privately and nobody else will know, or if it’s wide open and everyone can see what we’re doing. There is an old saying that we find out who we are by what we choose when nobody is looking. That’s probably correct. When we don’t have to face the opinions of others, we will likely choose what we really want, bad or good. If there’s a way to keep our decisions private, we may choose to do something that’s dishonest or unseemly in some way. We can do anything we want, anytime we want, and any way we want to do it. We’re always in control of our lives and can design them any way we like. But each choice, even the ones nobody else knows about, will impact our lives in some way. If we want to be happy, we must make decisions that allow us to do what is necessary to achieve it. There is no way to find complete happiness if we make decisions that cause distress, complicate our lives, or hurt others. We are intelligent and wise, and know what we want. Everything is possible and by taking our time, and carefully choosing each step ahead, we can have the lives we want the most and make our dreams come true.
When we look in a mirror our reflection is exactly how we appear. There is no way to modify the person looking back at us. We’ll see every mark, every scar, every line, everything. Similarly, our lives will reflect every decision we make. If we’re careful and wise, and choose roads that open doors ahead, building strong and positive relationships, we will likely find success. However, if we’re lazy, or mean and make choices that hurt others and damage relationships, our lives will reflect something entirely different. We can choose options that bring us comfort and satisfaction, and reach the goals we desire.
Who we are is expressed in everything we do. We can pretend to be someone different and may fool others for a time, but truth always rises and nobody can keep up pretense indefinitely. We are capable of greatness and incredible success. By choosing to be the best we can be at every turn, we will reach the goals and destinations we desire most. Every dream is possible and with determination, wisdom and perseverance, we can succeed at anything we desire. We are amazing and powerful, and nothing is beyond our reach.
Today if you have an important decision to make, consider every possible outcome and choose the road that will lead you to success. You are smart and capable, and nothing is too complex or difficult for you to comprehend. Trust yourself, and move forward with confidence. Every success is possible and you will win.
