Each of us faces many challenges as we go through our lives. We learn to overcome difficulty with practice and gain strength by pushing hard against trials that test and define us. We may experience a severe complication that makes us question our ability to overcome and knocks us completely down. We may lose everything we thought was real and have to face a brand new reality – one we may never have planned on and don’t want. When everything blows up and we’re standing bereft and shaken it may seem impossible that anything will ever be right again. The crucible is upon us and we must face it alone. We will each face a moment when everything changes and our lives hang in the balance. What we do from that moment forward will define the life we have. If we allow the situation to utterly crush us and give up, surrendering to the pain and refusing to get up again, our lives will in essence stop at the moment of impact. Nothing will change and we’ll be stuck in sorrow and pain forever. But if we are determined to continue ahead we can pull from deep inside and garner all the strength and wisdom we possess. Trouble will come and at some point we may be overwhelmed. We can give up and lie down or we can stand strong against the wind and push forward despite the struggle. Our lives are always in our control. Even against terrific odds and intense distress, success is possible. We always have everything we need to keep going no matter what has happened. We can trust in ourselves to correct our course and find the way forward.
Sometimes the very thing we think we could never endure happens to us and suddenly we are faced with our worst nightmare. There is never any way to turn back the clock to prevent a disaster or prepare for its arrival. We have to take things as they come and when bad things happen it may be extremely difficult to keep going. We may be stunned and shocked, unable to move or even think as we try to figure out what to do. There is no way to control most of what happens in our lives but we have what we need to get through whatever comes and find our way again. We are strong and possess everything necessary to solve any situation and continue forward.
We may face something so encompassing it changes our circumstances from that point forward. What was possible before is no longer an option and we must recreate the road ahead. When everything around us changes and nothing is familiar we may lose our confidence not sure of what’s happening or where to go. If we step back and look at everything objectively and see the entire situation openly we will find the answers we need to begin again. Starting over brings new blessings and lessons that help us in the journey ahead. We can do anything. We are powerful and capable and nothing, nothing can hold us down.
Today if you’re facing a serious trial and have no idea what to do, remember all the times you’ve faced trouble before and prevailed. You are mighty and powerful and nothing is too strong for you to overcome. Be courageous and confident. You have everything you need to find your way. Success is there for you and you will reach it.
