There may be times in our lives when we’re not exactly sure where we’re headed. We often have many responsibilities and commitments and sometimes they may seem to take over and control us. When we’re busy and only looking at the next thing we need to accomplish, it may be hard to step back and think about where we want to go and what we really want to do. If we don’t take control of our lives, we may find all our busy-ness is controlling us. We may feel we’re living in never land, undefined and undirected. All our dreams are still with us but if we’ve set them aside in an effort to get something else done, we won’t see them. They will sit dormant and waiting until we look back, and make time for them. Our lives belong only to us. We are in charge of everything we do and every decision we make is our responsibility. We can’t blame others or situations if time passes and we haven’t done what we really wanted to accomplish. Life is busy and there will always be things we need to do, but the most important person in our lives is ourselves. If we don’t take care of our personal wants and needs, nothing else will work. No matter who is counting on us or what project is pressing, we can fit our personal desires and goals into our time. Each day brings new promise and the chance to do anything we desire. If we focus on what is needed to make our dreams a reality, we will feel more joy and contentment moving forward. We deserve the best of everything life has to offer. Choosing to make ourselves a priority will help us achieve it.
When we interact with others they may have expectations about what we will do and how we’ll spend our time. There are a lot of different ideas about how we should live our lives and we can listen to all of them, but in the end we must do what is best for us. Our choices are ours to make and we can choose any path we desire. Each moment brings new opportunities. We don’t have to confine ourselves or restrict our choices to anyone else’s model. The road ahead is for us to determine and what is right for us is what will bring happiness.
If everyone we associate with does things a certain way and it’s not comfortable for us, we can move forward our own way. There may be pushback when we choose a different path, but we are certainly capable of managing differences of opinions and are in full control of our decisions. Human creativity knows no limits and life is a great blessing. We can do things our way and find the best roads moving forward. Living our lives the way that works best for us will bring us great joy and satisfaction.
Today if you feel like you’re in never land and don’t know where you’re headed, stop and think about what you really want in your life. Everything is possible. Choose the road that will bring you the blessings you seek and make your dreams come true. Your life is yours and you can live it any way you choose. Happiness is always available and by being your true self you will find it. Open all the doors in front of you and choose the path you desire. Every dream can come true and you will find success.
