Life is a continual process of learning. Every step we take and every decision we make teaches us something. Although we may try to make the best choices possible, sometimes important details are disguised or we may be distracted and choose something that turns out badly. There is no way to know everything and we all make mistakes from time to time. If we’ve made a choice that has had terrible results we may need to work hard to fix it. Bad decisions happen and if they are extreme we may feel we’ve ruined our lives. We may be sure there is no way to repair the situation and we are lost, but everything is transient and nothing is permanent. There is no life sentence pronounced upon us when we fail. We aren’t doomed to remain in pain and anguish forever. It’s just a mistake. Even if it feels like a terminal disaster, it’s just a mistake. And mistakes can be amended. We can figure out what is needed to correct our course going forward and find the right road. If others have been hurt by our decision we can do what is required to apologize and turn things around. Nobody is perfect and there is no guide book to warn us before we make decisions. We will often choose wisely and generally find our way, and if we stumble we can adjust our direction ahead and start again. Life is all about learning. We learn everything we need to know as we move along. Detours may happen and we may falter, but we are capable of regaining our footing and continuing forward to success.
If we make a bad decision that impacts a personal relationship in serious ways there may be long lasting consequences. If the damage is great we may lose the connection with the other person completely. They may choose to walk away from us and leave us behind. We can try to repair the situation but we cannot make anyone continue forward with us against their will. We can learn as much as possible from the experience and take that information forward to help us in the future. Sometimes things break and can’t be repaired but we can remain open to starting again if the opportunity comes.
We are free to choose anything we like but we cannot control the results of those choices. Sometimes things will go exactly as planned and other times they may work against us. Learning to see things openly and objectively, and being willing to look at all sides of every problem will enable us to make the best choices. We are capable of making excellent decisions and have everything we need to succeed. We can trust in our ability to choose wisely and if things go awry, we can choose again to correct our way forward.

See the best options going forward and choose the path that will correct your course. You are intelligent and wise, and can do amazing things. The road to success is there for you. Seek it, and find it. There isn’t anything you can’t do and do well. You have everything you need right now to succeed.
