The Price

We make many decisions as we go through our lives and each choice defines who we are and what we stand for. We try to make good decisions and most of the time we’re successful. Of course, nobody is perfect and we’re going to falter from time to time. However, taking a wrong turn accidentally is different from making a bad decision because we hope to gain something by trickery or deceit. One area that causes some issues is when money is involved. Financial gain is a big motivator and if we aren’t careful, it may motivate us into doing something questionable at best, and unethical or illegal at worst. They say everyone has a price and it’s determined by the choices we make. For instance, if we get home from the store and discover the clerk accidentally dropped a roll of quarters into our bag, and we don’t return it – the price of our honesty and ethics is worth about ten dollars. That’s not much money to trade away our nobility and virtue. We can justify the decision not to return the money by saying the store makes plenty and doesn’t need it, it’s a long way to drive and will cost us time and gas to return it, or we can see it as an unintended gift. No reason we come up with for not returning what doesn’t belong to us is valid. We are in control of our lives and can live them any way we want. If we want to be honest in our all dealings, we must make choices that reflect that decision. Our ethical standards will define us in many ways. Others will see the decisions we make and base their ability to trust us on what we choose. We are valiant and important, and can make excellent decisions that show others who we are. The whole world is blessed because we are here, and we can ensure our influence is beneficial by choosing well.

People aren’t what they say they are, they really are what they do. Some will say they are honest, but then do things that reflect a different expression altogether. Maybe they cheat on their time sheet at work, saying everyone does it. Or they manipulate situations to make them appear more successful and further along than they are. There are unlimited ways to shape things to make them appear different than they really are. True honesty is a virtuous and impressive trait that brings goodness and value to every situation. We can choose wisely, and make excellent decisions.

We must decide what kind of people we want to be. We can determine there is no price high enough for us to trade our honesty and valor. When we live with integrity, people will trust us and doors will open that might otherwise remain out of reach. Every choice we make takes us somewhere. We can choose the paths that take where we most want to go, and reflect the highest standards possible. Being honest in everything we do embellishes our lives, and brings us satisfaction and true happiness.

Today if you’re tempted to do something beneath your values in order to gain something you want, remember, every decision you make defines who you are. You are amazing and important. Show us your wisdom and integrity by choosing well. We’re all blessed because you are here. Choose wisely and step forward with confidence. Shake it Off

Everyone makes mistakes. We all want to succeed but even when we try to choose the best road ahead, sometimes we falter. There may be moments we don’t have access to all the information necessary to make the best choice, and things spiral out of control. We may be criticized when the bottom falls out, we may be called names and ridiculed, and we may feel horrible. It’s easy to identify wrong turns on the other side of the road but when we’re headed into them, it can be hard to see what’s coming. A misstep isn’t the end of the world and it’s certainly not the end of us. If we’ve fallen down, we can get right back up. We can learn everything possible from the experience, and then let it go. There are endless chances to start again. We haven’t used up all our chips no matter how bad the situation becomes. There is no problem without a solution and we can amend any situation and turn it around again. Mistakes will happen, but we are smart and capable, and can shake them off and find our way. Every experience, even the bad ones, teach us something of value. We can take what we’ve learned forward to help us move ahead and accomplish our goals. Our lives are important and we are valuable. Nothing can replace us or take our place. We have so much to offer, and when we stumble, we can right ourselves and keep going. Every goal is possible and success is always there, waiting for us. We can be confident and sure we will reach it.

We may be fooled and lied to by someone who is dishonest, and get badly hurt. They make take advantage of us, use us for their own advancement, destroy our plans, cheat and steal, and do all kinds of things that bring serious conflict and disharmony into our lives. We may wonder how we believed them when the truth comes out, but we never have to stay in any situation permanently. We can step away and turn in a new direction at any time. Our lives are always in our control and we deserve complete happiness. We can modify the way forward, disconnect from anyone trying to hold us back, and continue with confidence.

When our plans don’t work out and we realize we’ve made a big mistake and are headed in the wrong direction, we may feel stupid and foolish. Looking back, everything may be clear and obvious, but things were different at the start. We can only use the facts we have at the beginning, and sometimes they are incomplete or misleading. Taking a wrong turn does not define us. What defines us is our ability to continue moving forward no matter what happens. We know what we want and we can be determined and focused, and reach every goal we desire.

Today if you’ve made a mistake and feel you should have known better, remember you are wise and intelligent. You would never choose the wrong road on purpose. Each decision can be modified and you can correct your course. Every road is there for you and you will find the way. Be confident and stand strong. Learn all you can and start again. There isn’t anything you can’t do. Every success is possible, and you will reach your goal.

The Price

We can do anything we want in our lives. We can accomplish any goal and reach any destination. Everything is possible but nothing will simply happen because we desire it. Despite what we want, and what some may tell us, few things are free and basically everything we desire will require something from us. It may be monetary, physical, emotional or technical, or any of an unlimited variety of sacrifices. If we want the goal, we’ll have to pay the price. It’s up to us to determine if the price is worth what we’re trying to gain. Sometimes that will be easy to discern – as in the case of monetary cost. If we don’t think the item we want is worth the cost, we won’t pay it. However, other factors aren’t as easy to perceive, and we may find ourselves in a situation where what we’re giving far exceeds any benefit we will derive in the end. We are intelligent and capable, and would never knowingly enter into an agreement that will take more than we want to give. Unfortunately, sometimes the parameters and costs aren’t easy to ascertain and we may forge ahead blindly hoping everything will work out. We never have to stay on any road if we aren’t comfortable or there are no benefits for us to continue. We are in control of our lives, and if we’ve chosen something that isn’t working out the way we want, we can step away and change direction. We can achieve anything we desire if the costs to accomplish it are possible and we’re willing to pay them. Our lives are ours to design. We can go anywhere and do anything. Choosing the roads we want the most and managing them well, will bring us great satisfaction and happiness moving forward.

Successful relationships are partnerships of giving and taking. We give our time and attention to someone else, and support their efforts, and they give the same back to us in return. We offer help and consideration when things get hard, and loving kindness to smooth the way ahead. If we’re in a situation where we’re giving and the other person is only taking, the balance will be unsettled and we may pay more than we’re comfortable with. We deserve complete happiness and can change anything in our lives at any time. We can have happy, healthy relationships that bring us great pleasure and contentment. By choosing carefully, and making sure our connections are balanced and even, we will find great happiness and satisfaction.

In the retail market, prices change and fluctuate. The same can be true in our personal lives. We may enter into an agreement with the understanding that things will go a certain way, but as time passes the situation may change. If we’re not getting the benefits we need from our involvement, we can alter our course. Nothing in life is permanent. We can change anything at any time. We know what we want, and can do what is needed to ensure we achieve it.

Today if you’re in a situation where you’re giving more than you’re receiving, remember how valuable you are. You deserve every happiness and success. Every road is open and you can go anywhere and do anything you desire. Decide what you want the most, and step forward toward your goal. Nothing is out of reach and you will prevail.

Tattoo

We make millions of decisions as we go through our lives. Much of the time which choice we make won’t matter and we’ll be able to continue forward unrestricted. But sometimes we may face a monumental decision that may change the course of our lives and affect those around us. When that happens, we try to choose the best options possible. It helps if we aren’t hindered by pre-conceived notions and unwavering ideas about how things should go. Getting at tattoo is a serious decision. Once the ink has been applied, it will remain. If we later decide we don’t want it, the process of removal may be difficult and painful. When making a decision, if we decide we will only accept one answer or one way forward and will not bend, we may remain, like the tattoo, permanently stuck in place. It’s good to have a strong sense of what we want and confidence for the road ahead, but if we draw a hard line in the sand and refuse to acknowledge or even look at different options, we may find we are unable to move. Moving forward is the only way to accomplish our goals, and there is no way to move forward and be stuck in place at the same time. We can have strong opinions and still be open to seeing other options. There are countless roads to every destination and never only one way to get to any goal. Allowing ourselves to consider each possibility will enable us to make the best decisions and find the most positive outcomes. Our lives are a reflection of every choice we make. We can go anywhere and do anything, and by seeing every option before us, we can make the best decisions moving forward. Nothing is out of reach, and we can have the lives we dream of.

Every experience we go through teaches us something. When we have difficult experiences, we may carry painful scars forward that influence how we proceed. Nobody wants to suffer and if we’ve been hurt, we may try to avoid anything that resembles what we’ve been through. If we alter our decisions based on something from the past, it may prevent us from moving forward toward the goals we desire. No matter what’s happened, we can move forward with confidence and clarity, and reach any goal we desire.

Tradition and pattern are strong influences. If we’ve always done something the same way, we may be reticent to try something new. Doing the same things over and over again will only take us to the same places. It’s impossible to go somewhere new and stay where we are. New destinations and roads can be intimidating. We can’t see the end from the beginning, and we don’t know what lies ahead. However, we have all the courage and wisdom we need to make excellent choices, and step forward with confidence and certainty. Nothing is beyond our reach and we can go anywhere.

Today if there’s a big decision ahead and you feel uneasy stepping forward, remember all the excellent decisions you’ve already made. Nothing is too complex or difficult for you to manage. Decide what you want and step forward with confidence. Every goal is within reach and every dream is possible. Nothing is too difficult for you. You are fierce and unstoppable, and you will succeed.

Make Me Happy

Our lives are a reflection of all the experiences we’ve had and a result of every choice we make. If we choose things that take us where we want to go, we often find happiness. But choices can be affected by those around us, or situations that have influence over us. If we’re trying to impress someone and they’re doing something we normally wouldn’t like, we might choose it to show our alignment with them. Following someone else’s ideas can only take us where they’re headed. Our lives are always in our control. Doing things opposed to the life we desire will only delay or completely prevent us from finding true happiness. If we lack confidence or are unsure about where we want to go, we may pattern our lives after someone we admire. There’s nothing wrong with mimicking good, strong characteristics, but we’re responsible for our own lives. We can’t be who we are and someone else at the same time. Nobody else can make us happy. It’s a responsibility that falls completely on us. When we live authentically, and make choices that represent who we really are, happiness will follow. We are unique and valuable just as we are. There is no need to conform to those around us, or try to fit into someone else’s mold. We have individual and specific gifts to offer and nobody could ever replace us. We can be confident in living the lives we want the most, and choosing the roads that take us where we want to go. Every dream can come true and we can reach any destination we desire. Nothing is out of reach and complete happiness is always possible.

Our lives are our responsibility. If we’re not happy, it’s up to us to do what’s needed to change. We never have to stay in any situation indefinitely. There will always be options available and we can alter our course until we’re on the road we desire most. If others want us to stay where we are, they may try to hold us in place. We can stay in any situation for as long as we like but if we’re ready to move forward, nothing can keep us down. We deserve complete happiness. If we’re not getting it, we can change our lives and direction until we reach it.

Life is filled with responsibilities and details that require our attention. If we’re very busy attending to many obligations, our personal happiness may be pushed aside. It’s easy to forget ourselves when we’re busy serving others, but our personal needs are important. If we neglect ourselves, and let our own desires sit dormant, it will be impossible to feel complete. Nothing is more important than our personal health and well-being. When we nurture ourselves, and take the best of care, everything will come more easily, and we’ll find satisfaction and success moving forward.

Today if you’ve been setting aside your own personal needs in order to take care of everything else, remember you are important and priceless. You can have the life you dream about. Make choices that will take you where you most want to go and show us who you are. There isn’t anyone else like you and we need the gifts you have to offer.
