Every single decision we make will bring some sort of result. Many times we can see what will happen if we choose something, but not always. Life is complex and there is no way to know everything about anything at any time. There will always be unknowns, and situations beyond our reach that may impact something we’re doing. Once we’ve made our choice and things start to unfold, all the ramifications of the road ahead will start to show themselves and we may be surprised by what we see. Some complications may be very involved and if we had known about them before hand we may have chosen another way forward. Unexpected consequences happen. We don’t know what we don’t know and even when we try our best to choose wisely, sometimes things go awry. There is no way to read the future, or predict what will happen next. The best we can do is look at all our options carefully, and decide on the best way forward. We are intelligent and highly capable. If things go wrong and our plans go up in smoke, we have everything we need to look again and make another choice. There isn’t anything we can’t do if we’re willing to continue forward. Nothing is out of reach and with wisdom and patience every goal is possible.
Some decisions have known possible results. If we smoke throughout our lives, the odds that we’ll get cancer are increased. If we constantly make poor decisions, the chances of finding happiness are minimized. If we continually overeat, the possibilities of losing weight will be lost. Sometimes even when we know the results of our decisions are not going to be what we want, we may make them anyway out of weakness, impatience or because at the moment, we just don’t care. To live well and successfully takes thought and patience. We really can have the lives we want the most, but we must be willing to choose the things that will bring it to us.
People are creative and will surprise us from time to time. Someone may take a stand and get in our way because they do not agree with what we’re doing. We share the world with billions of others and although we have the right to choose the roads we’ll take, we also have to navigate around those who are going in the opposite direction. Distractions may pull us off course, and we may get turned around and confused, but if we keep our eyes on the goal, we will find our way forward. Every success is possible and with clarity and determination, no matter what gets in the way, we will win.
Today if you have a specific goal you want to achieve, think about the decisions you are making. Choose things that will pave the way forward and help you move closer to the prize. You are smarter and more powerful than you think you are. There isn’t anything you can’t do. Trust yourself and begin. Every single dream is possible, and you will make them yours.
