Although we share the planet with billions of other people, our experiences are personal to us. They come from where we are, what we’re doing, and what’s happening around us. Everyone wants an easy life filled with happiness and pleasure, and although we’ll all surely have great moments of joy and peace, we will also experience trials and adversity. The future is unknown and there are millions of variables that could materialize at any time. Trouble comes to us all and when it arrives, what we do determines what happens next. If we’re facing a serious challenge that is difficult and deeply troubling, and we’re not sure what to do, we might withdraw into ourselves and try to hide. Like a turtle tucking into its shell to evade capture, if we feel the problem is just too much to handle, we may close ourselves off and try to keep a low profile until it goes away. Hoping our problems will solve themselves is like hoping we’ll win the lottery. Yes, it might happen but the odds are sorely against us. Some things are hard to face, but we are smart enough and strong enough to manage whatever comes. Instead of hiding away and trying to become invisible, we can step up and move closer to the issue, look it smack in the face, and begin to solve it. Every problem has a solution and there isn’t anything so complicated and horrible it can escape resolution. By being confident, and refusing to look away, nothing will overcome us. We are strong and powerful, and can do anything. Nothing is capable of holding us in place. We can trust ourselves to find all the answers we need, and no matter what we’re facing, be sure of success.
We can never see the end of a road from the beginning, and when we face hard challenges, we may not know going in how hard it will be to find the answers and prevail. We may struggle and be confused for a time about how to proceed. But we are intelligent and nothing is too difficult for us to figure out and find our way forward. Even if there are a lot of details and complications, or difficult people involved, we already have everything we need to get through and find resolution. We are smarter than we think we are, and nothing is out of reach.
We have no control over what comes to us or what happens around us. We may make excellent decisions, and choose wisely, and still everything blows up in our faces. There may be people making decisions we know nothing about that impact us, circumstances out of our control, or the long dreaded result of a bad decision we made some time ago may finally appear. Nobody wants to suffer or face hard times, but we live in the real world, and trouble will come. We are wise and capable, and can unravel any complication or problem that arises. We can arm ourselves with confidence and we will prevail.
Today if something has happened that threatens to overcome you, stand strong and move closer to it. You are a rock, amazing, immovable and strong. Trust yourself and be confident. Step forward and claim your place. Every success you desire is there for you and nothing can keep you from it.
