We achieve a lot of personal goals as we go through our lives. When we’ve reached the end of a long journey, if it’s been hard, we may take a rest and sit for a while enjoying our success. It’s nice to get to a desired destination, but we are always changing and there is always something new that captures our attention. No matter where we are or how far we’ve moved forward, there will always be more to come. Options do not disappear simply because we’ve reached a goal. They will still be there and when we’re ready to reach for something new, we can begin on a new road. Life is all about learning. Everything we do teaches us something as we progress from one thing to another and get closer to the person we want to be. The possibilities are endless, and we are only constrained by the limits we put on ourselves. Our lives are ours to design. If we want a small life that’s easy and predictable, we can stay where we are and do the same things. We can limit our exposure to new ideas and destinations and be happy with what we have. But if we want to see what’s out there, and open every door we can, our world will be expansive and filled with new experiences and possibilities. It’s all up to us, but we must decide what we want. If we don’t take control of our lives, they will roll out according to where we are and what those around us are doing. One thing is certain – it’s impossible to get the lives we want the most by sitting still and doing nothing. It can be intimidating and unsettling to think about stepping onto a new road that is unfamiliar and foreign, but if we don’t take a chance on something new, we will remain where we are. Every destination is possible, and we can do anything. We can have the lives we dream of and reach great success.
There is nothing wrong with staying in place and keeping everything the same if that’s what we want to do. Everyone wants to be comfortable, but once we’ve mastered the situation we’re in and there is little left to be learned, our personal growth will slow, and we’ll lose the refreshment that new ideas and experiences bring. By making the most of our time, and reaching further for something new, we’ll be enriched, and our sphere of influence will expand. We have so much to offer and reaching for something new will bring us great blessings.
Everyone has their own ideas about life. Someone may have an idea about how we should live our lives and what we should do. We’re all entitled to our own opinions, but nobody knows what we want more than we do. We’re in control of our lives and don’t need agreement to do anything we desire. The sky is the limit and we’re in charge. By deciding what we want the most, and then doing what we must to make it ours, we will find great satisfaction and happiness.
Today if you’ve been standing still, enjoying your routine but want something more, look at all the possibilities around you. You can do anything and go anywhere. Choose the road you desire, and step forward. Everything is possible, and every destination is waiting. Be confident, and you will succeed.
