Saying It Louder

30 Jun

We all have our own ideas about life and how it should go. We’re clear on what we want and know where we want to go. If we feel strongly about a situation or choice before us and we want others to follow our lead, we may press them to listen to us and do what we want. If we’re sure our way is the only right way to proceed, we may pressure and coerce to get those around us to follow us and obey our decision. If they don’t listen, we may tell them again, louder and more forcefully in an effort to get compliance. Everyone gets to make their own decisions and they won’t always be the ones we want. Overpowering them to make them comply might work at the beginning, and they may follow us at first just to keep the peace, but that will never hold them in place permanently. We only have control over our own decisions. Being more insistent and saying something louder doesn’t change the message. What’s important to us, is only important to us. Everyone chooses their own way and sometimes that may be very different from where we’re headed. It’s great to have support for our ideas and choices, but that won’t always be the case. We may have to strike out on our own and carve a new road forward. We are strong enough and wise enough to make excellent choices. We can choose our own way ahead and reach success. We don’t need the agreement or permission of others to choose any journey forward. Nothing is impossible for us to accomplish, and we can set out in any direction we desire. Our lives are ours to design, and we have everything we need to create them any way we want.

Many people are comfortable being in a group and following what others are doing. We can always mimic anyone we like, but we are all individuals, and our true desires are unique to each of us. If we only do what others suggest we may move along just fine, but we won’t be expressing our true selves. We have gifts to offer the world that nobody else can give. By trusting ourselves and making choices that reflect who we are and what we want most, we will find great satisfaction. We already know what we want, and can step forward with clarity and confidence that we will achieve it.

Powerful people who are confident and self-directed know what they want, and may not respond well to disagreement or dissent. If we don’t want to follow them, they may try to force us into compliance by speaking louder and stronger, trying to muscle us into submission. If we’re intimidated, we may follow them out of desperation, but our lives belong to us and we decide what we’ll do. We are valuable and important, and our choices are ours alone to make. We can stand strong and choose our own way forward. Nothing can keep us from our goals and we will succeed.

Today if you’re being pressured to do something you don’t want, remember you are important, and your desires are worthwhile. Decide what you want most, and step forward toward the goal. You are more powerful and stronger than you imagine. Every dream is possible, and you can have the life you want the most. Trust yourself. Nothing is too far for you to reach, and you will succeed.
