Looking In

As we go through our lives, every decision we make takes us somewhere and tells the world and those around us who we really are. We can say anything to anyone to convince them we are one way or another, but what we do tells the real story. Our actions will always shine the truth on every situation. If we’re good at pretending and hold fast to what we’re trying to portray, we may even convince ourselves we are different than we really are. But nothing can hold the truth back forever. It will always rise and show itself openly and clearly to us and those around us. We can do anything we like with our lives and gain any attributes we value, but it takes determination and focus to do our best and be honest and authentic in every decision. The world is filled with all kinds of temptations and possibilities. Sometimes it may be easier to get what we want by deception and trickery instead of working toward the goal with integrity and diligence. If we are desperate to win the prize, we may choose a path of deception that takes us far from the person we most want to be. We might fool those around us but when we look in the mirror, the person staring back will always know the truth. There is never a need to compromise our personal values or integrity. There isn’t anything we can’t do honestly and valiantly. It may take longer than cheating the system, but choosing well enhances our self-esteem and builds our confidence. We deserve the best lives possible, and choosing to be honest in all our dealings will help us achieve every goal.

There are all kinds of ideas in the world and a constant tug of war between what is right and wrong. The values of one group may contradict the values of another, and there will always differences of opinion. Despite differences in interpretation, we can choose the best road forward that reflects our personal honesty and ethical standards. There will always be the opportunity to make excellent decisions and choices that are above reproach and enhance us going forward.

Nobody is perfect and imperfections are a natural part of life. We all have things about ourselves we’d like to change and when we’re ready can do what is needed to alter them to better reflect who we are. Despite any perceived shortcomings, there is never a need to hide are true selves. We are valuable as we are and have much to offer. There is nobody else in the world who can give the gifts we have to share. We can be sure of our abilities and go forward with clarity and confidence.

Today, if the goal you’re trying to reach has been difficult and you’re considering cheating to get there, remember your choices tell everyone who you really are. Choose the path that will reflect your personal honesty and integrity. You are a great blessing and your influence can lift us all. Make the best decisions possible and set the example for good. Step forward with confidence, and you will find great success.

Shaking it Off

We live in a big world with lots of problems and many conflicts. It’s sometimes difficult to see how everything will ever work out where there is so much strife and contention everywhere. We may feel afraid or nervous about our futures not sure of how secure we will be or what will happen. There are a lot of problems and sometimes it seems all we hear about and see are the things that are going wrong. We may feel unsure of our own personal safety, uncertain about what will happen to us, and lose confidence in our ability to succeed. There are a lot of influences in the world, and some of them may threaten us. It’s hard to see around them and fear may encompass our lives as we face them. While it’s true there are many problems and there is no way to see our future, it’s also true that we have everything we need now to be strong and confident and face whatever we must. We can hold onto faith in our ability to succeed no matter what forces stand in our way. We are smart and capable and if we trust in ourselves and hold firm to what we truly believe in we will succeed. There will always be winds blowing against us and reasons to quit and give up. But nothing can stop us if we are determined to continue forward. We can shake off our doubts and hold strong to the faith we have in ourselves. We are capable of doing anything we set our minds to. We have more courage and strength than we realize and if we trust ourselves going forward nothing will stop us.

Fear is something we all must face from time to time. Some of us are tenacious and rarely succumb to it and some of us struggle with it every day. But fear is just an emotion triggered by feelings of threat or the belief that something dangerous may be upon us. Often there is no real evidence that disaster is headed our way. The trick is to see things as they really are and not merely as they seem to be. If we clearly look at our situation objectively we may find we are more secure than we thought and can shake off any uncertainty. Fear is irrational but we can make rational choices. We can decide to be courageous and clear in our direction and continue forward with confidence.

There are no guarantees in life. We can plan effectively and ponder every possible complication and still things may go awry. There are limitless things that might go wrong and if we worry about them instead of focusing on the goal we may get stuck standing still. It’s impossible to move forward and stand still at the same time. Even if everything goes wrong and the bottom falls out we can still step forward. Nothing is strong enough or complex enough to hold us in place. We can shake off the doubt, push through the wind, and keep going.

Today if you’re facing something that is making you afraid or there is something you’re worried may happen, take a step forward anyway. No matter what goes wrong you have everything you need to keep moving. You are stronger than you think you are and there isn’t anything too big for you to face. Shake off your doubts. You have everything you need to succeed. The whole world is there for you and you will have it.
